Coffee is done brewing. 55° with partly cloudy skies this morning Heading to 88° with clearing skies in afternoon. Car ride was good. Lots of barns. Big dairy farms north of Howell, MI. No pictures. Way to much traffic for pictures. Not much planned except take my Aunt home today. Aunt in Port Huron had a bad reaction to some meds for back problems. Was doing better yesterday.
One Hummingbird likes my feeders. Watching for chances to take action photos.

Good morning! 67˚F heading to the 80s chance of rain as every day, then the real weather is cloudy no rain and 90s.

The organic potatoes should be hard enough to wash and put in the pantry. Tractor day at the gardens moving gravel and mulch.

I picked up my weed eater from moms it still has the metal blade on it and I'll clean it up and get it back in service for the park cedarcide party tomorrow.

Drew you must be feeling better with more than one post a day, Yea!!!

Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High 97F. Winds light and variable.

I hope all of you with bear neighbors continue to peacefully coexist. Not sure how comfortable I'd be if I had one (or more) roaming around here.

Once the word gets out about your feeder, Ron, Katie bar the door! You'll have hummer aerobatics galore...

Sorry the bear destroyed your game cam, Thomas. Would you buy the same one again, and if so, what's the make and model?

Around here, Eric, washing a car is an almost sure guarantee of rain...

You've got plenty of time to make up your mind on next steps, Drew, so don't get ahead of yourself and forget about getting better first. Too many changes too quickly are never good. Looking back at the end of both my parents' lives, the transitions from hospital to rehab to nursing home were never smooth and were always upsetting. Very seldom was any warning given, so not much time to plan or screen the choices, and some bad ones were made. Word of mouth, and finally finding an eldercare agency at the county level were big helps in finding good facilities and care. And as you've found, there were often waits until vacancies would open up, so sometimes they got stuck with bad food and smells, and poor care as well. But you're a fighter, and still have your faculties about you, and your family around you, too, so it'll work out if you give it time.

Glad the pond project seems to be coming back on track, Paul. Might be time for a cautionary review on Yelp! go keep others from using the wrong contractor.

The contractors have a two hour commute to get here each day, so starting time is between 8 and 9, and by 3 they're all antsy to get back on the road to home. That makes for a short day, but the four of them here yesterday still made great progress. All of the wire is pulled to the generator, solar panels, and to the power feed in the pump house, and a new copper line now powers the main electrical service. Got the battery bank unloaded without dropping it, and all the balance of system components are here. They're going to take a LOT more floor and wall space than the salesman counted on, so it's a good thing almost all of the shop tools are on wheels. At one point, though, the contractor thought the lathe would have to move, but we worked around it instead. Today they'll wire the solar panels and finish the conduit runs inside the garage, which will complete most of the mechanical part of the work. My day started by pulling off the tarps and plywood from the trench, and loading the plywood back into the truck. Not really any place else to put it, and since it looks good as new and I don't have any use for it, might as well just return it, right?:confused3:

The old power lead now sits abandoned in the bottom of the trench, and I think this morning before they get here, I'll cut the other end where it disappears under the driveway and drag it out for recycling. There's a LOT of aluminum in there. We're due for another round of showers over the weekend, so today I'll get the bucket back on the FEL and start filling in the trench. Got a big pile of rocks to move first, but I'm not sure where to yet.

CoVid-19 wise, confirmed cases now stand at 51, with 20 in isolation and 30 recovered. The first fatality was yesterday, an older person with several preexisting complications. Testing is still running in the 300/day range, so there are bound to be more cases discovered.

Good morning. It's 72°, 96% humidity, and no winds. Our high is forecast to be 88° this afternoon with possibility of rain later today.

I got primer and first coat of paint on the rest of the rolling ladder small parts yesterday. Our high humidity sure extends dry time.

We had our first VFD Apparatus Check last evening, as a group, since before the Covid. We been going down in teams of two, at different times, to make sure everything is functional and ready to go.

More pressure washing .. will be the order of the day today.

Hope everyone has a safe productive day.

Prayers to all.

Good Monrning.57 going up to 75 and cloudy.

Got the Brushcutter working again. Had to completely break down the carb. Clean every part and reassemble.

Just doing day job today, tired from doing all the trim out last weekend.

I see the Stilt Grass is starting to come back. There goes all my work so far, I got some Milestone herbicide which is supposed to tame it a bit. The R43 only slows it down and I can't use it everywhere.

Might see if I can eliminate some of the carpenter bees in my deck railing :-(

Stay Safe, be well.

62F and cloudy, a little bit of rain overnight. Forecast for partly cloudy with a high in the low 80's. Severe Storm Risk Alert issued until 08:00 Wednesday morning.

Picked up fasteners and brass brushes at hardware store yesterday, struck out on the digital calipers at HFT (out of stock, check back Thursday )

Dropped off a full recycle can at the end of the road on my way out.

Enjoyed nice dinner last night of spaghetti ... with homemade flan afterwards ...

Need to change out juice in the feeder for hummers ... interestingly haven't seen a one since I hung it ... :confused2:

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.
