LS, watched your sons video of acid staining the garage floor. Interesting. I’d be worried about the ammonia but it’s pretty open.

It was pretty strong, but there was a strong breeze, so really did not accumulate much. It really was like a giant litter box.... surprisingly, it did not last for long....

I did start on the electric project.... cleared the area where wire would go through the wall (remaining 6 bags of pellets from winter), had to move a bunch of random oak boards to make room for relocated pellets. Drilled hole in wall. Got all the components together for outside box, GFCI outlet and cover, UF wire. Set box on low stake out by pond. THEN.... got sidetracked....

I spotted a few pieces of scrap pressure treated wood left over from son´ s project. Then I spotted some left over cedar planks I had.... I had a thought to surprise wifey with some deck rail planter boxes. A few hours later after cutting, sanding, staining, and installing, successfully surprised her!

Needless to say, electric did not get done.... although I had intended to finish, Mother Nature said no... not today. A t-storm was brewing nearby, a few flashes, some rumbling, but no rain. I was not going to lay wire down across the ground while all this going on. I figured tomorrow....

Totally forgot... I am getting 1 1/4 yards of concrete in one of those U-haul -it concrete trailers at 8 am tomorrow for the son´s shed project.... nuts!

Well, the best laid plans.....

At least wifey is happy and I did accomplish something....

I did the 2 part epoxy paint on my garage floor, with the sprinkles on top. Had to clean real good, let dry, paint. Staining much faster.
Did he get line where garage door was down on it?

Nice flower boxes.

Good evening all.62F for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, not a lot of clouds, and high temp of 85F. We were schedule to get new couches today so had to clean leave off of front porch, move old couches to pickup before new ones showed. wife took off with pickup to donate old couches, and I awaited the new arrivals. Delivery showed 1/2 earlier that predicted, couches came in ok, and they were gone in 15 minutes. We like the new couches, three seats with recliner in outer 2 seats. After lunch and nap went for bike ride, and then moved cadence sensor back to Trek aired up tire, and made sure tire levers tube and CO2 inflator back in rack bag.

65 right now...high in the mid-70's. Maybe some showers, but it doesn't look like it.
We got a strong storm yesterday evening...windy and lots of rain. Blew through pretty quickly though...

Chores: Definitely a dump run! Haircut, if the barbershop is open. Way too wet to mow, but while I'm waiting for the lawn to dry, I have a suspension seat adapter to install on the Zero-Turn. Should fit without any modification, but "one size fits all" frequently mean fits none (without modifications)

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 3:15AM. Rain and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 74F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Locally heavy rainfall possible.
Woke up way too early to a very stuffy room. Opened the slider for some fresh air, but the wind appears to be picking up and I can hear thunder in the distance. But weather radar shows the storm heading away from here.:confused2:

Sounds like good progress on the garden, Jay. Seems like this year, summer came early here, too.

Last night the weather lady showed flood warnings in effect north of here, thank goodness not here! Hope the worst of it misses you, RS.
I started that bushing project thinking I'd do a quick job with an adjustable reamer and knock out a couple of bushings. Ha! The holes were so worn it would have taken days to get 'em round with that reamer. That 10x rule was pretty accurate.

So you had a messy helper for your paint job, Thomas? Bet you're glad that job is done!

Sometimes you just gotta do what feels right, Ted...

Good luck with the bar move, Ken. Slow & steady...

I don't envy you guys your black flies. Dad used to take the family fishing in Canada when I was little, and I still remember the bloody welts and fiery itching...:hissyfit:

Ten sheets of plywood sheathing, four 9'x20' tarps, and lots of big rocks later, and the trench has a roof. I can hear an occasional rain drop on the porch cover and more thunder in the distance, so I'm about to find out how good a job I did. I normally shop in Chico, but needed some steel and that supplier is in Oroville, so that's where I went yesterday. Much larger HD and HF in Oroville, both much better stocked. The HF stop was on a whim, as I'd planned to recycle tarps that had been worn out on the firewood stacks, then remembered HF had pretty good prices on their tarps. The 9'x20' jobs were only eleven dollars each, and will do a much better job. Not sure what I'll use the plywood for after this, though. Also tarped over the pile of sifted dirt, finally something useful for all the rocks around here to do. Just hope I put enough rocks down to hold those tarps and plywood down, things could get pretty ugly out there if the wind comes up enough.

Got some seat time in on the tractor using the box blade to take some of the off camber out of the trail to the back of the house. Had a couple of spots where it was around 10ー, now it's all less than 2ー. Found more than a few bread basket sized rocks, and put 'em to use on the tarps. Used the spoil, a mix of dirt and gravel, to fill in a low spot on the driveway just before it reaches the concrete, and hope the rain today cleans it up a little.

Made a short video showing the solar rack and tarps, mainly to see how well the rack was aligned with true south. I think it'll be OK, not much I can do about it now anyway...

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 50° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 65° with mix of sun and clouds. Picked up my Aunt at her place. Drove around park and local roads on the way home. Was very nice. Sanded all the window sills in back porch. Then got them stained. Have not figured out how a 91 year old lady can have so much energy. Going to put up quarter round on all the window frames today. Need to get mower on Kubota and cut grass today. Then sit back and relax.
Have not done a CV update lately. The number keep going up. Michigan cases, 56,621. Deaths 5,406. Oakland county, 8,311 cases. 575 deaths. They update how many have recovered on Saturdays. Current is 33,000 recovered. In order to get on the recovered list. Need to be negative for 30 days.
Clouds to north of my place told me to take a picture yesterday evening.

Drew, special prayers and best wishes for fast recovery.

Looking, that's a lot of truck.

Riptide, I still have 4 packages missing. One of them is 2 months. All with USPS. I did get a refund from the 2 month one.

LS, must be something good about names starting with R. Nice flower boxes.

Thomas, do not rush June. We still have 2 more days to get our May projects done.

Roy, hope you get the haircut.

Jay, getting garden planted is good for spring exercise. My back hurts for you.

RNG, nice video. Waiting for solar project to get checked off list.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

68 and cloudy. Should see 83. Only sprinkles yesterday.

Mostly, that sounds like a nice new couch/recliner to get those much needed naps.

Ted and RNG, you guys are always up to something good. (typing that just made me think of Herman's Hermits).

Buppies...no more rain for you! ...so you can finish that bench/range. What lucky gun gets to go first?

We think the hummingbirds may have fledged, because all of a sudden, we have see many more, the wars have started, and we have had to start major sugar water production and hanging more feeders.

Hand-dug wet sand out of the creek yesterday to fill in some rough spots in the woods trail where some tree roots have begun to show. They always jump up and try to trip me when I go hiking. Amazing how many heaping shovel loads it takes to fill a 6 ft bucket on the FEL, and then what little distance it covers when dumped and raked flat. I think physics plays some nasty tricks sometimes. I gently rake the leaves and pine straw back before spreading the sand, and then rake it back on top...looks like nothing much changed but smoother...also hoping that it gives some protection against summer t-storm deluges washing the sand down the hill. I don't place too thick of a layer, concerned about smothering the tree roots. Since my should and back aren't screaming too loudly this morning, may go back and do more today. Strangely, no deerflies the whole time.

Good morning! 54 now, maybe 70 later and supposed to be sunny. Similar day tomorrow.

We sure got dumped in yesterday rsw. My driveway liked like a river at one point. Was in the garage and couldn稚 see the trees on the other side of the road, looked like a wall of water.

Got a turtle problem in the pond. Need to work on that today. Plus mow.

Everyone stay safe out there

Any good sources for masks? Especially N95? Amazon looked like a joke the other day.

Our governor (bfn) mandated they be worn inside businesses this week. We have none...my wife wore out the only one we had, leftover from last year's blade sharpening use. I haven't been inside any building since early March except our house, shed and barn...but need to go this afternoon to get the truck inspected. I'll wear a cowboy bandana and a pair of six shooters. Actually, maybe the six shooters are just a wish.

Good morning! 60˚F clear skies. All of the pics and tubes posted today look so much better on the RNG suggested 16" MacBook Pro. So many thing to learn on this machine. It will be a good afternoon project.

The neighborhood trail we worked on during the Fall/Winter/Spring opened up to the public yesterday so I took Whipper for a walk on it. It is a mile long trail so out and back is 2 miles. It looked like Fall with so many leaves on it that were knocked out of the trees from the hail/ice storm. The last of the hail was melted after 24 hours. The roof repair people are descending on the neighborhood. Several people on the next street do have significant damage where the baseball size hail fell.

Kyle I see where your county's covid cases have doubled overnight to 21 cases. Did they test a nursing home or the state school?

It looks like I will have to break out my camera or reload the phone TBN app or get a new SE phone before I can post any more pics.

The new MacBook has 4 "thunderbolt" slots - smaller than a USB so I think I'll have to get some adapters before my camera can be attached.

Good morning. It's a very nice 64° and calm here this morning. Our high should be about 88° this afternoon.

Today will be more mowing, pressure washing, and maybe some window washing.

Hoping the NASA / SpaceX launch goes this afternoon. 2:22 p.m. central.

RNG .. nice video. You're right about HF tarps.

Ron .. nice cloud picture.

Hope everyone has a great start to your weekend.

Prayers to all.

We got some rain but no storms so far. Not calling for any rain today.
Got to do my weekly Iron Out in all the toilets today, don’t have much iron, barely shows on the test but I try to stay ahead of it.
I have to check the humidifier, I don’t think the fill valve is working right.
Not sure what else.
Drew, get better soon.
Have a good day, prayers for all.

I found some on Amazon made in the USA but not N95 they will be here next week. It's not to protect the wearer or there would have not been 1000 health care workers deaths.
