Spent most of the afternoon/evening on tank maintenance in the fish room ... and still managed to save some for tomorrow ...
Just a little behind in there ...
Started doing the design/layout in the CAD program last night for the new lawn vacuum so I can figure out how much sheet steel I need. Looks like one 72" x 144" and two 48" x 96" sheets should do it ...
I likely have most all the rest of the steel (angle, rectangular bar for the frame, etc) on hand ... except for the hardware cloth/screen for the exhaust.
Still need to order the axles and the hubs ... and possibly tires and wheels, although I may have a solution for those here already.
Basically it will be a knock off of a Locke Turf/Debris Vacuum ... which was sold by Gravely, Toro, and some others I believe:
... with a couple of possible modifications:
1. Rather than being 60" wide, I think I'm going to keep it to only 48" wide (the distance between outside of left rear wheel to outside of right rear wheel on the Kubota is 54") ... to make it fit better within the width footprint of the B2910 and hopefully keep things a little more maneuverable ... also might allow using it behind a smaller piece of equipment in the future.
2. Will allow space for the pickup snout ... but don't plan on building one at this point - the vacuum will be directly attached to the MMM on the Kubota.
Final specs TBD ...
