52 and cold cloudy wind, going to 62. Seems like a winter hurricane.

Yesterday went to hike at the battlefield forest while the wind dried the grass...got home and it was ready to mow, and as I stepped off the porch, in came the drizzle just enough to wet the grass again. Later the wind was so gusty from the east that we lost some leaves and dead limbs...our trees are naturally pruned by westerly winds and storms, so a northeaster does some new trimming. Maybe better luck today.

BEF, we've been doing both Costco and Sam's, too. We like Costco better, but there are some items my wife likes to go to Sam's to get, and if I haven't washed her SUV in a while, she'll run it through their carwash after getting gas.

Good morning! 48 now, may struggle to 55 today with more drizzle and rain.

Work schedule has been cut. Now working 4 day weeks starting this week. Different day off every week. Had to sign up for a special unemployment program this week for workers affected by cutbacks. Tomorrow is an off day. Company had 350+ employees beginning of March. Only 90 left.

With the deck belt problems Saturday, didn稚 get all of the mowing done. All the rain this week is really putting me behind. When it stops, gonna be spending a lot of time on the tractor!

Did get a lot of the garden in Sunday. Rain has been good for the garden!

Everyone stay safe out there

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 47ー with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63ー with mix of sun and clouds. Got shelf painted yesterday. Going to take a couple days to dry. Little cool in shop.
All the rains have caused 3 dams in mid Michigan to collapse. Downtown Midland, MI may be under 9' of water by end of the day. Midland is home to Dow Chemical.
Sun up had color this morning. But it is not going to rain according to weather forecasters.

Drew, special prayers sent.

Jay, hope you are OK.

Rick, I saw TNT. Thought autocorrect got you. I use Sam's club for same reasons as you. I have been ordering many items on Internet. When I compare items prices with both of them. Most times Sams' has better prices. My tooth bar is a Long. Drilled two 3/4" holes. I think they were only ones 20 years ago. I have 2 buckets. One stock. Other with tooth bar and my homemade grapple. Would like to have a more modern Grapple. But not enough things to do with it.

Mostly, Michigan, now has over 50k cases, 8k deaths, My county Oakland has 8k cases and over 900 deaths. The counties around Detroit have over 1/2 the cases and deaths.

RS, nice grass catcher. It should solve the problems of dumping Trak-Vac. My FEL only has little over 1000 hours on it. With way more greasing than it ever needs.

Buckeye, nice video.

Randy, looks like a lot to get done on El Camino. Thanks for update.

RNG, some of the settings missing on my Whole House Generator is protection from brown out or one leg of 220 has low or high voltage. Items that I had on my motorhome. It was a 50 amp system. House is 200 amp. Does your system have protections for these electrical problems.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

BEF, have you ever hiked Mt Pleasant/Coles Mtn/Pompey Mountain?

I'm getting desperate for some mountain and the feds won't reopen Shenandoah, so thinking of going over to some George Washington National Forest hikes.

69 degrees this morning, going for a cloudy high of 83. My wife has an 11 a.m. appointment with her oncologist. She gets a chest x-ray, blood test, sees the doctor, then gets a Prolia injection. This is every 6 months. I haven't even seen that doctor in several years, seemed like a nice guy when I did see him, HOWEVER he has NEVER been earlier than 30 minutes to an hour late. And of course now they ask that patients NOT have anyone with them unless absolutely necessary. I'll be taking along a book to read and hope it isn't too hot sitting outside in the car.

Good morning. It's a humid 75° with a very light breeze. We expect 94° this afternoon. The weather guessers are predicting improved rain chances for this weekend and into next week. Fingers crossed! Toes crossed! Eyes crossed!

I'm heading into our Richmond house, after the morning traffic, to do some repairs. Builder used some 90 watt equivalent CFL (Crap fluorescent lamps) flood lights in numerous recessed ceiling fixtures and after 4 years they're starting to burn out. I have at least three to replace so I bought a case of six of them.

One of the ceiling fans, on the east porch, is "loose". I'm guessing it's just the canopy over the mount .. we'll see.

After that, a stop at Home Depot for some parts that I can't find locally.

Then I'll head back to the ranch to get back to more pre-holiday weekend cleanup. All the patios, not under roof, need to be pressure washed to get rid of the black from tree pollen. While I've got a pressure washer up at the house, I need to hit a few areas on siding, that get little sun, with the foam cannon and Wet N Forget.

I did get to work on the rolling ladder project for a bit yesterday. I got one of the 40" stability struts match drilled to the original caster plates. Once I get the other strut drilled, I can take it to sand blaster for cleanup and primer coat.

The roof needs a skim coat, sanding, prime and paint, then the vinyl top. Not as much work left as I’ve already done. I basically built the top window channel with fiberglass resin and mat.
