Boy! It's raw outside! And the high temperature forecast has dropped a few degrees.
I do have to make that dump run...and pick up my prescription of BP meds this morning, but I think that grinding work may have to wait until Sunday

Good Saturday morning! 28 now, maybe 45 later.

The yard needs mowed, but don稚 think that is happening today:

Everyone stay safe out there!

Poured first cup of coffee. 27° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 50° with cloudy skies and wind. Did not get anything done yesterday. Looks like another day of doing the same. Sassy and Muffin like that they got lots of attention.
CV number keep climbing. Michigan cases 46,326 cases. 4,393 deaths. Oakland county, 7664 cases. 805 deaths. Good news is that just about anybody can get tested without a Dr. prescription.

Drew, glad you are improving. Hope all the test turn out negative. Be very careful operating any equipment. Prayers sent.

David, hope Sophie get's her eye fixed sooner. 6/20 is a long time to wait.

Roy, I have never tried my chipper on quick hitch. I should try it for fit next time I use chipper.

Randy, no fly overs here. 2 hospital close by. Blue Angels were suppose to fly over earlier this week. But bad weather canceled them.

LS, porch rails look great.

Looking, how about a video with sound showing that rumbling exhaust?

RS, bird houses look good. No birds using mine yet.

Rich, great photo.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning guys. Very chilly but bright blue nice sky out.
Headed down to sheds to turn the heat on for prospects and all the lights, realtors can't find them
Then I'm lying down for a while. Balance is pretty bad. Anyone know much about powerchairs

Rich, great pic. Might wait a day on mowing...

Watching local bunnies hippity hop over lawn.

I don't know what brand chipper you own...mine is a Woodmaxx 8H.
My QH came from Agri-Supply, IIRC. Not a real expensive unit, but has and adjustable top link

The lower links on the chipper are formed and welded clevis type. It appears the outer bend radii bind with the QH lower hooks. Beveling the edges of the QH hooks might resolve the binding problem...I hope.

Using a QH helps in hooking up the chipper to the tractor, but you might need a longer PTO driveshaft.

Well, time for the chores...

I've quit using a quick hitch on any PTO driven equipment. IMHO the QH just gets in the way of hooking up the PTO shaft.

Good morning. It's 64° here and a bit windy. Our high is forecast to get to 78° this afternoon. The predicted rain yesterday never happened but there is rain in the forecast for mid-week and next weekend. Finger crossed.

Thanks to all offering condolences for my friend .. that means a lot. Time to move on.

I was hoping for lighter wind today so I can get at least one big pile of yaupon burned but .. that's looking unlikely for now.

I've got three other piles of cut yaupon in three different pastures to add to .. so probably what I do today.

All you guys getting snow, in May, remind me of why I chose South Texas over Iowa / Nebraska when I completed my USAFSS active duty in 1971. Our last snow was December 2017 and before that December 2007, as I recall.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Prayers to all

Good morning! We also have non-killing virus weather. 57˚F, cloudy, 40% humidity, heading to the mid 70's.

Ron our counties started out the same now you have had 7664 cases and we have had 361. You have had 805 deaths we have had 12.
We currently have 9 in ICU and 3 on a ventilator.

Bought a cabinet to put in the half bath so there is some sort of storage in there. I still need to find the studs and figure how to hang it.
Home Depot was uncomfortably crowded yesterday, parking lot was full and no lines going in but a line of 30 checking out that moved fast. They were counting people going in and out but the numbers must be higher now. About half of the people had face mask.

For those with snow, will all your grass turn brown now?

Have you considered using a French cleat? Is your Community Woodworking Shop open yet? You take a 1x2 or 1x4, rip it lengthwise with table saw blade at 45°. One part on wall other part on cabinet.

I have same model as you. But do not use QH for most attachments. QH moves weight back farther for my small tractor.

Anyone know much about powerchairs?

Are you talking about the ones that recline and then go up and tilt forward to help you get out of the chair? My mom has two of those.

Thanks Rick.
The wood shop is still closed but I can do that on my tailgate.

32 calm clear and frost this morning...going to only 56.

The bear hit our bird feeders last night, destroying 2. I was able to fix 3, and he left some alone. Hadn't had any bear activity in 3 weeks, started leaving them out at night again. I could see his tracks in the frosty grass in places...almost wishing I had the snow you guys up north have so I could track him...not sure if he's coming from our woods or from across the road. Thomas, cool pix of those deer in your snow.

Ron, when I saw the thumbnails of your flowering tree, I thought you had snow, too, until I read your post. Glad George has some company, sorry he ran them off. I had a vulture follow my drone one time. I had to land it.

Rick, I don't have a chipper, and instead I enjoy constructing brush piles for wildlife...building them using specs for rabbits, but often seem to be getting skunks and possums.

BEF, great historic bridge website. I looked up a couple in Virginia.

Mostly, eating out at a Mexican restaurant is first on our plans when things open up.

Rip, my wife went to Costco and Wegman's yesterday...found everything on her list, including all the paper products...Kirkland TP, rejoice! She was motivated to go to Costco because we were low on bird food, and their Audubon brand is the only kind she likes us to use...no wasted seed left on the ground, and full of sunflower seeds. I haven't been inside a store in 2 months, so asked her jokingly, "so, what do coronapeople look like?" She was quick with her reply..."they all have these funny looking attachments on their faces...different styles and colors."

While she was shopping, I stacked my cord of wood, and mowed all the grass hiking trails to keep the pollen off my socks and pants.

My wife reminded me it's Blackberry winter...cold weather when the blackberries bloom...which they are doing here.

Still not sure about the TBN website...seems that I am getting pop-up spam attempts when I connect using laptop...urgent messages to update Adobe Flashplayer, or Norton antivirus sometimes when I connect...never happens when I go to any other website.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going up to 74. No wind ! Yea! Chances of rain / t-storms now up to 60% by Monday. I hope so, we have not had any precipitation since April 12th.

Just watched another neighbor take off in his powered parasail. Looks like a lot of fun.....expensive fun... he flew it often last year.

Bears would have a hay-day here on our property, I am sure they would tear it up big time. I am glad they stay closer to the mountain.

Wng, thanks for the tip for the birdseed. I have been getting seed from TSC, but seems a lot of seed is wasted. I will try that Audubon from Costco.

Drew, good luck with the showing...

Today I will put my trim carpenter hat on... my son has all the trim for his garage all stained, he finished with the paint last weekend. He is anxious to finish.

I have to hurry and get my second cup of coffee in... I am sure he will be over in a few...

Everyone have a great day!

Don, no the one you ride around in, likely to lose my ability to walk.
Seems to be quite the tradeoff in size vs weight and getting into car, seems you almost need a van.
May wind up needing one the other types, but not yet.
Pinched nerves in back make it hard to stay vertical.
thanks
oh what a difference a year has made...
