Waiting for second cup of coffee to cool. 34° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 59° with partly cloudy skies. Got hardest part of mulch laying done yesterday. Lot of rock moving and some landscaping to make area good to put mulch down. Today may be a conserve energy day.
Forsythia turned a nice dark yellow.

Drew, hope they find what is causing your health problems.

Buckeye, nice video.

RNG, got latest software installed on drone and iPad mini. Waiting on cable so I can use ipad on new mount. I have a iPad mini 2, 32GB. All the post say to use a iPad 4. Will see if it will work OK on my drone.
It has latest software 12.4.6. Been using my iPhone 8.

Wngsprd, Chipmunks can use up a lot of your conserve energy time.

Don, that pile of mulch should cure your Seat Time deficiency for awhile.

Everyone be stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

You guys vids are so nice. You have some beautiful places to live.

Good morning! 38 now and drizzling rain again, may struggle to get to 54 today. Been a cool spring.....other than tomorrow, next 10 days don稚 promise any real warmth.

Got really busy yesterday on phone and email. Got a lot to clean up this morning.

Coffee is going down to easy this morning....

Get well Drew

Everyone stay safe out there

Rich, I really miss racing.

Ron, about to have my first cup of coffee. Wifey made it, so it's really yummy. 5 bucks coffee place doesn't have anything better.

Wng, do you drink your java black? I hope your YMCA contribution helps them stay open. We don't have any chipmunks down here...Just those tree rat squirrels. Pecan thiefs.

Yep, just black. Started drinking coffee when my Sunday School teacher took a couple of us to his "Businessman Bible Breakfast" meetings when we were about 17 years old. They met in the restaurant of the Norfolk Tides AAA baseball team stadium...so it was a real treat. All the men drank coffee, most black, so that's what we did. After the first cup, I loved it.

Our squirrels steal our pecans, too. The chipmunks probably would, if they could find their way 100 yards over there to the trees. They sure love raw peanuts in the shell, and sunflowers. We saw one eating a lizard the other day...holding it like corn on the cob.

Kyle,

I miss it too. I got to go to one race this year. Getting by with videos just ain稚 getting it.

But I did listen to an interview last week about Royal Enfields plan to go racing. I would say they are serious. A comment was dropped that the AFT legal twin will sell for about $10k. If that is accurate, you can稚 even build a fast 450 at that price.

If you are into podcasts about racing, Cory Texter has his 典ank Slapping Podcast available that is pretty entertaining. It has been CTex and Jake Johnson along with a different guest each week. Worth a listen

50 right now, 54 later with light rain since the wee hours. It got to 60 yesterday, I’ll be glad when we get back to the late spring weather we were having last week. Talk of a possible freeze Saturday night. What’s up with that?
No seat time today with the rain. Grandson coming later.

Drew, hope they resolve your issues quickly.

Rick, where are you?

Don, all that mulch looks like a good time.

The drone pics are amazing.

This is my son’s side business, some great drone videos.

Good morning to all! Low of 44, up to 82 today. Start of a cool down brings in wind for Thursday and Friday. High Friday only predicted to be 67, low 37.

Tree rats are very rare here near our home, they stick to up in the mountains away from civilization. Prairie dogs are the prevailing rodent... they will pick a spot and build an underground hotel system. Sometimes cause a lot of damage.

BEF, nice video. Your property is just as beautiful in the back as the front!

Eric, glad you were able to get your high speed thrills! Do not let it become a habit....

Just saw a weather forecast for the NE CONUS for Saturday.... a winter storm warning? In May? So much for you guys having a spring....

Don, that is a lot of mulch... nice seat time.

Wng, I absolutely love good coffee.... I just cannot drink it black...

I got a chance to work on the porch stair railings yesterday, newel posts set, measurements for pipe rail done, should be on the agenda to complete today.

Everyone have a great day today!

Good Morning Everyone:

A mostly sunny 30ºF for today's low; mixed sun and clouds 45ºF presently; and I expect similar conditions with afternoon highs in the low 50ºF's. And tonight rain mixed with snow, clearing out tomorrow, with another shot of rain/snow mix Friday into Saturday. Nice March weather in May.

I am just loving the weather the past few days and have taken advantage to get things started outside. Yesterday the Tundra got transported to the mechanic. The diagnosis = brake line had failed. $190 for the repair $90 for the AAA tow. All the manageable wood has been split and stacked. A local seamstress has been making free face masks for the locals and were available at the town church. I got 2 and found out that she is also making free PPE's for direct care providers. She will get a donation. We have one case of C-19 here in town (pop. 857) Our curbside pickup from the general store had everything that we ordered including tofu and 5#'s of white flour. The female Rose Breasted Grossbeak has returned; the male returned 1 day prior. All the normal resident sparrows have returned; no warblers yet.

My Wife has not left the house in ~ month. Today she gets to drive me down to the "Big City" to get the truck. We really have nothing on our shopping list except Wifey picking up some take out on her way back. It looks like another day for some seat time later. 3 days in a row.

RNG- Awesome videos with great accompanying music. Thanks for sharing your beautiful scenery.

Drew- My special +'s for you.

Dennis- Thank you for the tour of the neighborhood.

I am enjoying all the vids and pictures.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

A chilly 45F and a mix of clouds and sun right at the moment, although it has been mostly cloudy thus far. High of 54F predicted for the day ... which is decidedly below normal ... :(

Have appointment to get new tires installed on the car later. Need to file for rebate online.

Will probably get another coat of linseed oil put on the birdhouse roofs today, as the first coat seems to have mostly soaked in at this point. Also get the pipe flange bases remounted on the three birdhouses that have been painted.

The pipe flange for the 4th one has a plated fitting stuck in it that I need to remove before it can get the phosphoric acid dip rust treatment.

And of course: get the 4th birdhouse cleaned out so it can be painted ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Good Morning 46 going to 54. Getting back into the 30's at night this week. What month is it ???

Found this little guy on my front stoop this morning. Probably chasing a bug and me our front window. This happens quite a bit. He finally left a few hours later, leaving us a little present to remember him.
Got the rest of the wood cleaned up. Have 4 stumps + to remove this weekend.
Planted the Russian Sage and it looks like the Azaleas are getting ready to bloom. We are about one week behind on flowers etc, up on our hill from down by the river. So a drive along the river will show us what will bloom up here in a week. Hard to believe it's only 300 feet higher here.

Stay Well and be safe
