David- Thanks for the response. There is not a lot of information available on my Chinese made 23º lug patterned R-1's, but looking at available information comparing 23º to 45º tires the 23º would be the worst possible choice for your needs. They might not be the best pattern for my needs as well, but I trust the owner of the tire center getting me the best tire for my needs.

Nice tires Jay, I learned something new... never knew there were different degree lugs on R-1s.

Quote— “ Ted secrete is using one window to read and another window to type in “ — aahhhh .... will have to try that....thanks. I keep scrolling back, trying to remember 3 or 4 things... by the time I type out the first 2, I forget 3&4

BEF, sorry to hear about FIL getting admitted back in the hospital.

Jay, since I googled 23° instead of 21°, got better results. LOL

I'm joining those of you that have strange TBN encounters...I was placed back in 2014, reading about Kyle fixing his broken dryer and sharing info about lint fires. BTW, Kyle, thanks for the link to Ramble On...had not heard in a long time, and made reading TBN a little sweeter.

Walker, real amazing time lapse of that front. Thanks for making it and sharing.

Had our 2nd Walmart online grocery order pick up today...went well and brought out right on time...nice young woman wearing gloves and face mask brought out and helped load our vehicle...but not sure that is their strict policy...saw a young man bring out an order for another customer and was wearing nothing (except his clothes).

They were out of fresh tomatoes and blueberries, and made substitutes on 11 items, all bigger quantity at same price, or if the quantity is smaller, at a reduced price...for instance, I had ordered a 24 pack of Duracell batteries, but they substituted 2 packs of 16 at the same price. The broccoli head, cantaloupe, jalapenos, and bananas were as nice as if my wife or I had picked them. We're missing our Costco runs, but adjusting well to the good service of Walmart.

That was part of the initial plan, but the rear is only about 6 - 8 inches off the ground.

When the rear hits the ground, just keep goin' up with the front until all the gravel is at the back in a heap. Some'll still be on the trailer deck when you bring it back down, but a lot less than before.

But!!! If you have tail lights hanging down below the trailer deck, that might not be such a good idea. Unless you don't like those lights, or want to move them. DAMHIKT...

Procrastinating again. 4' of trench in 3 hours, and Mr. Back is very unhappy with Mr. Shovel and with Baby Rock, Sister Rock, Brother Rock, Mrs. Rock, and especially Mr. Rock. Multiple Rock families, one of the Rocks for every two Clays, that love to stick to the shovel. But now I know which way the first bit of conduit is going, and it looks like it'll cross another one that I buried but not as deep. And it has to make a turn in not to far, so I'm reluctant to break out the backhoe. Ted, how did you avoid snapping that electrical line with your 'hoe? Could use some lessons in tip toeing with a back hoe...:confused3:

I stared at those tires from the window since replacement, all Winter long using them 1X only; they never looked "right." Thanks to David (and subsequent research) I now know have an idea of what I bought and all is good

Had a nice beef roast (we buy grass fed local beef) with scalloped potatoes and corn...

Happy Easter to all!

Stay safe, prayers for all

Good evening and Happy Easter all. 61F for the start, rain with thunder, 1 inch in rain gauge. Wind light and increase to moderate then cranked up for frontal passage. Sky cleared off after rain ended early then clouded back up for front. High temp was 77F, low temp will be about 43F at midnight. Watch some of chapels's live streaming then went to stepdaughter's church for outdoor parking lot Easter service, too noisy from cars, social distance cut in on the congregation interaction. conservation of energy west of the day until nap time. Cooked chicken pineapple quesadillas for dinner.
Buckeye MS not my favorite OS either, but support for Apple is not the greatest either, and linux is worse. Lunch sounded good.
Hams were processed different in STL area, and we used a brown sugar and mustard glaze that work real well. Can't get the same hams here :(
RNG why would you run in 2WD with a heavy load on the front?
Walker nice video.
David fun story
Ted what is that saying, work smarter not harder.
David that is some rain.
RNG sorry to hear how much the rocks and clays are messing with you.
David whole table looks good!
prayers for all.
stay safe and healthy.

I knew there was a wire there, so when digging, keep the bottom of the bucket level with the teeth, use the dipper stick to “ pull “ back without curling the bucket. You can shave a little off at a time, slow going, but as soon as I “ grabbed “ the wire, just backed off the “ pull “, popping it up. I am assuming that you do not want to pop up the other gas line, so just keep shaving a little at a time. You will feel and / or hear the bucket scrape the pipe.

I found an old waterline from a well we had that was inactive using the same procedure. I had an idea where it was at, but not really a specific location. I had to “ shave “ an area about 3 x 5 ft from about 2 ft deep down to almost 4 ft until I found it. Shaved the dirt right off without a scratch on the PVC pipe. Now I buy that cheap 1/2 inch vinyl marking tape and drop it in about six inches above whatever I am burying.

Hope this helps you out...

You make me chuckle. Back when building the house. I agreed to dig the gas line trenches for the plumber with my backhoe rather than having him bring his machine back. One of those line would go pretty close to where the already installed water line sat. Of course, I continued until I snagged it, separated it at the fitting. Not a problem, just go to HD, get a few CPVC fittings and all would be good.
So, there I am, in the plumbing aisle, bunch of fittings in hand and who walks up, my plumber. Seeings the fittings and of course asks what I’m building.
Never seen him there before or since. He did laugh, said not to worry his guy would fix next morning.

3.81 inches rain last 6 hours. Just a tad moist.

I was moving pallets of concrete out of the truck, across the concrete driveway, and in 4WD, the tractor wasn't very happy anytime the front wheels got turned. In and out of 4WD, it was only a matter of time before this ol' man forgot which end was up. Wheeeee...

I guess I don't quite understand the jargon, Ted. Are you shaving up and down, or parallel to the surface, top to bottom?

I went ahead, taking small cuts, working from top to bottom, figuring I'd be able to feel the resistance of a PVC conduit. Never felt one, never hit one, and now I'm four feet down following that dang electrical conduit. It's gotta turn upward sooner or later, so I just gotta decide whether to shave down or shave back...:confused3:

Worse comes to worst, the Honda generator still works fine, and I can do without grid power for quite a while with all the E0 I've got stashed. But careful digging seems the best course of action with all else that we're all dealing with, a bit of a treasure hunt, eh?

I'm glad you can look back on that encounter with a smile, David!

But it just goes to show that there's no substitute for experience.

And that experience comes at a price.

Learn by mistake and pay a little as you go, or buy into the experience a pro brings to bear. Only problem is there are lots of people calling themselves pros that expect you to pay them to learn on the job, and how do you tell the difference?
