Easter meal for me will be ham with maple syrup as a glaze with pineapple and baked sweet potatoe maybe with MS on and asparagus.

People that keep horses just for the sake of keeping horses have more money than brains.

Sounds really good. I love real maple syrup.

Right as I was to start streaming worship service chrome would not let me start the live feed to Facebook. Ended up having to reboot my server, which had to do a windows update first. Fortunately got started only 10 minutes late.
I hate Microsoft. I’ve had this happen before, where a machine had an update ready some software would not work, forcing you to run the update then.

There is not a lot of information available on my Chinese made 23º lug patterned R-1's, but looking at available information comparing 23º to 45º tires the 23º would be the worst possible choice for your needs. They might not be the best pattern for my needs as well, but I trust the owner of the tire center getting me the best tire for my needs.

A few years ago I found a recipe that used Jack Daniels in a ham glaze. I used it on a turkey, with a less expensive Bourbon (so as not to be accused of alcohol abuse), and didn't notice much difference from a simple brown sugar glaze. But it sure made the kitchen smell nice!:laughing:

Did the steepness of your ground go into your tire selection, Jay? I was reminded again yesterday that the R4s on the tractor now are probably not the best in hilly terrain when I dropped off one of my steeper banks with a load of concrete bags on the forks, in 2WD. The rears started skidding and the tractor started rolling faster. Gently lowering the pallet brought things to a halt, a skill I've cultivated over the years instead of the panic such shenanigans evoked the first time or two...

I also wonder if that open tread pattern on the front would leave the carcass more vulnerable on rocky ground. I'm amazed at the cuts I see in my tires that they still hold air, but the R4 tread pattern is much more dense.

And yes, I'm procrastinating this morning, having run out of excuses for avoiding my date with Mr. Trench Shovel...:laughing:

Went and trimmed a forsythia in back yard, hauled 2 ranger loads over the hill. Getting humid. Wunderground says 68° and 100% humidity.

RNG- Yes and almost all the tractors around here are also wearing R-1's which is a great clue. Another consideration was snow and mud traction and R-1's do not load up as much as turfs and R4's (IMO).

I did discover with my Ford1100 that R-1's goo forward in mud much better than gooing in reverse which occasionally required the use of a 14# Danforth anchor, anchor chain, and a come-a-long to get unstuck.

Now that I did post-purchase research on those 23º tires they may not self-clear themselves of mud or snow as well as 45º's, in wet conditions and on slopes they will probably slip more, on dry ground I many have better traction with the 23º's due to increase lug-ground contact which may make for a smoother ride on hard surfaces and during FEL work; but may wear quicker. I really do not go on the road very often nowadays due to oblivious, speeding M@$$h*le drivers.

I am not worrying about rock cuts, but I am worried about the 6 acres of tree stubble in the lower field that could puncture those tires.

I/We will find out.

I've had to use my FEL to slow myself down more than once and each situation was a "pucker" moment :eek

I haven’t tried streaming to YouTube. My software can only stream to one at a time so would need 2nd computer running same app. I’m also noticing a big video delay, sound is 5 sec ahead of video. SW will only let me delay sound about 1 sec.

I chose turf tires for my tractor 20 years ago. Wore out the fronts. Has been a good choice for every project I have done. I do not have clay here.

As for my accidental finding... a few years back my wife was making one of her highly desired banana rum cakes, meyers rum in the glaze. For some reason unknown to me she ended up with extra glaze. I just happened to be doing a ham that day for a potluck. Wife suggested I add her extra to the ham glaze. Everyone loved it. Been a staple ever since.

Had ham, scalloped potatoes, and fresh asparagus with a salad starter. Just Ellen and I so we didn’t get carried away.
Then I went out and sprayed Home Defense Max on the exterior foundation , doors, windows and decks. Then took the flag down before the predicted 60 mph gusts hit.
Did an Easter basket drop off at grandson’s and step children, who are in their thirties. Not sure if the Tooth Fairy visits those two still. LOL

If you took the tailgate off the trailer, you could lift the hitch with your FEL and dump it. Then spread as usual. I wouldn't wish shoveling gravel on anyone, Ted. Well, er, almost anyone...:laughing:

That was part of the initial plan, but the rear is only about 6 - 8 inches off the ground. It will not get enough tilt to dump much. Second thought is to run the little tractor up the ramp and scoop some up. I will try to do the least amount of work possible! :thumbsup:
