Good morning. It's 46° here this morning but our 12 mph north wind makes it feel like 41°. We should see 55° this afternoon but north wind will stay with us.

We got a lot of rain yesterday afternoon and last night. I haven't checked our rain gauges yet .. but I'm guessing at least 3".

More rain is in our forecast for today so .. I'll be working on some shop projects today ..

I was trimming a live oak, in one of our pastures, yesterday with my HF Lynxx 40volt pole saw. I use it for everything below about 10' and it's been very reliable. It started making a racket and wouldn't drive the chain so back to the shop and took it apart. Lost a circlip and the outer plate that keeps the sprocket aligned.

I did some internet searching last evening and think I found what I need. Found Oregon PS250 sprocket, circlip, and 2 plate washers, on eBay, for $17.95 with free shipping, free returns. It won't be here until next Friday but I can borrow the circlip and plate washer off of my Lynxx chain saw, in the mean time.

I saw this on YouTube .. nice music .. nice drone work.

46 outside this AM. Heading to mid 50's. Not much planned for today. Yesterday the Marine Corp base just up the road managed to catch 500 acres on fire. I did not think it was that dry. My local Fire department was not happy.

Have a good day all. Be safe. Prayers for all. And think positive thoughts.

Verizon Wireless sent me an email saying they were raising my 10 gig wireless plan to 15, no charge during virus period
going to watch it and make sure they don't keep that higher limit at extra charge months from now.
I think they also said something about no disconnects.
Since so many people are at home, sounds like a lot of movie streaming or hours on the internet are creating problems, so the 15 gig limit
should keep the show rolling. My regular internet is by cable and no cap on volume. Verizon is my mobile hot spot, which interestingly Verizon said they
were now activating on every compatible phone at no additional cost.

Lot of crooked people will take adventure of these offers but also many at financial wit's end will surely appreciate it.

David- The logic used by some of those entitled, elitist, new age tree huggers parallels some of the logic I listened to at the State Hospital. At least I got paid to listen.

And presumably, the inmates weren't in charge of the asylum.:laughing:

Good morning! 44˚F raining.

BEF Happy Anniversary!

Drew according to Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn: "Research strongly suggest, in fact that lower than "normal" HDL levels are not worrisome as long as total cholesterol is well within the safe range - under 150 mg/dL."
"HDL seems to offer some protection against heart attacks - by collecting excess cholesterol and caring it away from the arteries to the liver, which can break it down and dispose of it. As total blood cholesterol rises you need more and more of the HDL cholesterol to protect you against heart disease."

We have 71 Corvid19 cases in the county and still only one death. 14 were hospitalized and 25 have recovered.

We are still shut down but the golf courses are available for Whipperwalks.IMG_3614.JPG

My FIL has some nice lever action Marlin from back in the late '90's, with octagon barrel. He said it was worth about $900 and he took it to Cabela's to maybe do some swapping....after over an hour they came back and offered him about $350 for it. He said no way and they lost a good customer. They are nothing more than a pawn shop when it comes to buying/trading collectible guns.

My Cabella's story is even worse. Took a barely used Safari Grade Browning bolt action to them, and an Auto-5 shotgun, same as new. The guy disappeared in back for almost an hour, and when he comes back says the rifle is going off when the bolt closes. I'd dry fired it as a safety check before I got there, so he must have done something to break it to get the price down. I needed the space more than the money, so I did the deal, but Cabela's lost a customer for life that day.:grumpy:

I was using my pole saw yesterday also. It started making all kinds of noise. Then chain stopped turning. Took it back to shop. Disassembled whole front end. Found that bolts that hold motor to a bracket had come out. Put them back in and assembled. Ran like a charm again. You may want to take a few screws out and check the bolts in yours. Easy to put back together.
