Good morning!!!!

Well, Good morning.... late! Weather not too bad, very cool this morning, high of 55 today, but got a bit windy this afternoon.

Bad news on the home front... my daughter, the nurse practitioner up in Colorado, treated 2 persons last week that tested positive for Covid19. She was tested last Thursday, but no results reported yet. She started having all of the specific symptoms including the headache and fever starting last Saturday. Her symptoms have not gotten any worse..... She is presumed to be positive until otherwise ruled out.

Her 11 y/o daughter has pre-existing respiratory compromises, and also her grandmother (My MIL) is also elderly (also compromised) and lives with them. They may have been infected without even realizing it.

Please send out your best thoughts, wishes, and prayers for them. Thank you.
Our best wished and thoughts for your family. Hopefully we peak soon.

Today 43 going up to 46 and rainy (again).
Tried to get on a target pickup at curbside, but time slots are 2 weeks out.
Front brake caliper failed, took it in to shop as I don;t have tools/parts. **** Jeep, second Caliper failure in a year (was back brake caliper last time.) so will have all new brakes, rotors etc. on all 4 wheels.
Hope to finish up my cheap skid plate today.

No new bad news from here so far today, fingers crossed it will stay that way.

Good morning to all! Low went down to 34, going for a high of 65 today, no wind, but that will be short lived.... windy the rest of the week is forecast.

Did not hear of any further symptoms or changes from my daughter, I guess that is good news... status quo...

RNG, when was the last time hydr fluid was changed? Also does the ‘ bota have a screen filter? I hope you find the source of the issue without much difficulty. Were you not looking for a new tractor? Maybe the old gal got wind of that....

I went to Walmart yesterday, most of the store was stocked, definitely smaller amounts of items, but they were there... except any type of paper goods... that isle is still totally empty. There were quite a few employees filling the call-in orders. Not a lot of people out shopping.

Went over to the neighbors yesterday afternoon, extended another section of the garage loft, then assembled 2 more workbench areas. Only took a few hours.

Then I fought and fought with a ‘ mixer lift ‘ that goes in a lower kitchen cabinet. Then I fought some more with it. Followed the directions / measurements explicitly. Nope... not going to work. Took it all back out, double checked the measurements again. Made some measurement adjustments, reinstalled. Nope.... not going to work. Removed it all again. Did my own calculations of arc, height, depth... reinstalled. Yep , now it works.
A simple 30 minute job turned into 3 hours of frustration and muscle cramping working laying sideways on the floor trying to fit into a 15 inch wide cabinet. This was a surprise for the wifey and I was determined to make it work! Today I will make a matching butcher block top for it.... that will seem exceptionally easy compared to the struggle. The mixer is a 45 y/o Kitchen Aid, weighs almost 35 lbs, we were both struggling with it to get it out of the cabinet when needed. Hopefully this project is the solution.

Everyone have a great day!

Kenmbz, what kind of Jeep? I have owned 8 different jeeps over the last 35 years.... they all ate calipers on a yearly basis. I always attributed it to running oversized mud terrains. On the last Unlimited that we had, I upgraded the calipers and discs. Made stopping much better even though I was running 35s. I did not have a problem with them for almost 5 years.

47°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 60° today.

Walked around a bit last night when I went out to close up the chicken coop. Seems the ground is starting to firm up after a few warm, windy days. No more rain in the forecast here until Saturday. Wifey said she might try to mow today.

Gasoline was $1.89/gal in Troy IL this morning. First time we've been below $2 in quite some time.

Nice picture, Mike. Quite scenic.

Don, a friend of ours went to the hospital Sunday for some issues, and ended up having her gall bladder removed. Her husband was not allowed in with her either.
Nice work on the camera mount.

Best wishes for your daughter and her family, Ted.

It's a Grand Cherokee limited and only goes off road in fields. Do they make these calipers out of plastic :-( Do have 110,000 on it, but my old truck never had a caliper fail in close to 150,000.

Wish it would stop raining here. Walked the dog around, she's happy in this weather, but then smells like wet dog :-0

1/2 of snow was deposited early this AM; clearing skies with the current 31ºF for today's low temperature, and I anticipate a mixed sun/clouds afternoon with high temperature in the high 40ºFs. If it dries out enough it will be a decent day to move some firewood around.

Bird- I am sorry to read about your Cousin and husband. I hope the prescribed meds/inhalers help.

Bear meat is greasy like woodchuck, kind of stringy; but tastes good.

Mike- You like many here have a home/property worthy of a cover on a Home & Garden magazine. Thanks for sharing. I gave up on beer as the returnables are no longer returnable due to C-19. Difficult times make for difficult decisions. I am sure that I can find some alternatives around here. ;)

Don- I am sorry to read about your neighbors. I wish her a speedy recovery. I like your handiwork making your own customized beveled camera mount.

BEF- I like your stream. I have one too at the moment down in the lower field. :( I hope the test results are negative for both your Sister and BIL.

Billy- I hope the game cam reveals the culprit.

Ted- I am so sorry too read about your daughter and family. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Eric- Thanks for the laugh. I believe passing a good smelly f@rt is a sign of properly working GI and olfactory systems.

RNG- I bet a hot clothes iron would be hot enough to sterilize paper envelops. Thanks for the PSA. I've read quite a few and thankfully they were all consistent.

Thomas- Thanks for the snow pic.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers. We all need them.

Jay, you are the man, I tried and couldn't get it down, done in a stew with wine, simply inedible and very strong flavor
It surely does not taste like chicken...

speaking of which, hope our favorite chicken farmer is doing ok.

azaleas starting to come out

Good morning All. It was 42 and cloudy today at dawn. 45 right now with a steady rain that started at 10 am. Went to the gas station yesterday and got 10g of regular for the zt mower @ $1.959 and 10g of off-road diesel for the tractor @ $2.199.

Very sorry to hear of anyone close to any of the group contracting the virus. Prayers for healing for the sick, strength and wisdom for the medical staffs, and continued good health for the rest of us.

Frank
