As the world turns . . . . . wonder which way it'll go next. My wife and I are supposed to see our primary care doctor every 6 months. He's always gotten blood samples to check, So . . . on 3/2/2020, I stopped by to make an appointment AND let the lady make copies of our new this year Medicare Supplement cards. So she made the appointment for 8:30 a.m. today (3/23/2020) for us to come in and have blood drawn, then an appointment for Monday (3/30/2020) to see the doctor. But Friday (3/20/2020) she called and said there was a change and we were to come in at 10 today (3/23/2020) to have blood drawn AND to see the doctor. Then this morning, about 9 a.m. the lady called again to cancel our appointment and said the doctor would be calling us. An hour or so later, a young lady (may also be a doctor in the same office) called and questioned us extensively, and told us to call back if we had a problem. But she also asked about our temperature. Hmmm, we do have a thermometer, but it hasn't been used in a long time and now; Dead Battery.
I had planned to stay in, but I went to Walmart and bought a new thermometer, since they didn't have (or at least couldn't find) a new battery for our old thermometer. Then I went across the street to Walgreen's. They were sold out of that particular battery, and had another customer there looking for the same battery. But that customer told me the Interstate Battery place down the street might have that battery. Sure enough they had lots of them. So finally I have two thermometers now that work.
And neither my wife nor I have any fever.
