RNG, remember the old saying, familiarity breeds contempt. Buddy riding like that near his home had probably ridden that route so many times that he could do it in his sleep. That is the 'familiarity' part of it. The contempt comes from the speed he was travelling at.
I don't blame you for taking it easy. Hitting a deer on a motorcycle is not good for you or the deer.
Back in 1998, there was a guy on a Harley hit a moose outside of Parry Sound, ON. The moose was okay as was the Harley other than a little bit of road rash but the rider was dead as a doornail. I guess he was haulin' azz.

Yep Ted .. I met your neighbor (Louis?). Nice gentlemen and he was there when I arrived a bit after 8 a.m. I asked him to pass on my regards, to you, on his return.

John was going to swap out his loader boom first thing then ... get busy on mine .. which was fine with me. I hope to go retrieve mine by Thursday.

I was on the road, back to the ranch, by 9:15. Austin traffic was remarkably light, both ways but .. still very foggy, on the southwest side, at 9:30especially near the Pedernales River.

I talked to him on the phone while he was there... we had a good chuckle... he said you brought in your “small” tractor.... he wondered what you were thinking about his little MT125.... if it was even considered to be a “tractor”...:D:ashamed:

Well, it was just announced on the news.... the state of New Mexico is now under “stay at home” orders, declared by the governor. All non-essential businesses ordered to close.

I put a call into the surgeon’s office this morning and left a message. As of 6pm, no return phone call. I do not think non-emergency surgeries should be taking place. I don’t think that I should subject myself to possibly acquiring a serious illness... what do you guys think?

If I was in your shoes, I'd postpone until we're on the other side of the pandemic. As you point out, your chances of picking up some other disease, not just CoVid-19, are probably greatest in a doctor's office or hospital. But an even bigger consideration is the use of medical supplies and resources that very shortly could be needed to treat seriously ill people suffering from the virus.

Today, over 5000 new cases of CoVid-19 were reported. Stop to consider that the number is doubling every three days, and we could see 20,000 new cases on Sunday. And 40,000 the following Wednesday, 80,000 the next Saturday, and so on. And those numbers aren't running totals, those are new cases in ONE DAY.

Stay home. You have a new tractor to take care of!

Today’s numbers are the results of 2 weeks ago. Most places started shutting down 1 week ago to “flatten the curve”

All non essential shut down here today, but almost everything is essential.
I’m considering going LWOP some days. I just got out of negative leave from last summer.
I’m at age I could draw some IRA money if I really need to, but can go a few weeks ok.

I had 2 amazon items coming Sunday, used son’s name and my address which is the default, instead of changing to my name and same address.

My sons apartment complex has amazon delivery boxes. So he changed his account to use them.
USPS tracking said they delivered my items here Sunday, but didn’t leave them due to his change of address. Uggh.

Just had our Zoom, virtual Happy Hour. Interesting. 7 couples, 5 locally, 1 Canada, 1 Florida.

Didn’t get any project work done, been raining all day, but did get to straighten up a bit.

Was thinking today, our self imposed isolation may have an unexpected benefit -saving money. No eating out, less driving, no happy hour outings - a few weeks could add up.

Good evening all. 57F to start, fog, calm wind. Light wind today, fog lifted out about noon, and high temp was 67F. Slow start, putter and bike maintenance till lunch then bike ride and nap. Electrician came over to look at wiring, UPS throwing wire fault light. He foun only half voltage between ground and hot side. Circuit ok at box and first switch, but all receptacle show same. grrrrrr. More trouble shooting later.
Buckeye, Happy 96 b-day to your dad!
Bill have a good trip to get your replacement covers.
Eric few thing in life are replacements for grandchild hugs :)
Rip, nice burn pile.
Billy is nice to watch the wild like while mowing, used to stir a lot of insects when mowing in Missouri and birds would be flying around taking advantage of that.
Ron enjoy your conserve energy day. Cool bird pic
Thomas kind of difficult position, isn't it, just remember happy wife, happy life.
Buppies I hope to still be biking at 75 :D
Frank, enjoy you conservation of energy day.
Randy hope you enjoyed your seat time.
Rick, hope not too serious on tractor.
RNG hope no new leaks.
Lou enjoy your snow.
Don, thanks for the oat milk recipe will have to try it.
George, welcome back. Nice flowers
Jay hope Pat has no issues with snow, and you continue to recover.
Hawkeye enjoy your first workday off, I trust you fixed the alarm!!
David you can always play in the mud, but it is difficult to do real work in the mud :D
Buckeye, no deliveries here, am off the beaten path. Your dad looks good.
Drew cool about the parsley and onions.
Randy hope you get script filled soon.
RNG hope 2nd time the charm.
Thomas it is the husbands fault, period
Bill, lived in Missouri Ozarks for about 7 years. Great place to ride motorcycles, but 1 or 2 people you knew or friend knew would die from deer strikes.
Ted, I agree with RNG, wait till virus not issue, you don't need any complications while knee healing.
Buckeye, nice ribs!! Sorry about Amazon delivery, Stepdaughter ordered stuff for us and her, her stuff arrived on time, ours over 1 week late :(
prayers for all.
stay safe and healthy
