37°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 51° today.
Our Governor put the state of Illinois in timeout this weekend, too. Of course, you can still go wherever you want, but lots of places are closed. I ventured out to a couple of places to pick up some stuff for The Wife, but stayed home most of the weekend ... which is pretty much how I roll anyway.
Got the flagpole re-erected Saturday. The Wife's nephew had installed it last summer in about 10" of concrete. Small wonder it didn't blow over long before it did. I went down about another foot-and-a-half. It's not going anywhere now. Changed the wipers on the F-150, as I'd noticed the passenger side was flapping in the wind when I drove it last. It was a little chilly with the wind Saturday (mid-40s), but not too bad a day to be outside doing stuff. Intermittent sunshine actually made the Carhartt coat a little warm. Was good to get out and knock some of the outside items off the honey-do list.
Sunday was cold and rainy, so I piddled around in the studio most of the day, while The Wife watched a couple of movies and worked on a quilt project.
Kyle, some of our oak leaves drop in the Fall, but most hang on until Spring. If the weather forecast holds out, we're planning on this coming Sunday to round them up and set them ablaze.
Mostly, I'd still love to ride the Katy trail from St. Charles to KC. Unfortunately, not sure that's ever going to happen.
We got a notice from Chewy that our shipment would be delayed, too, wngsprd. We were worried that we might run out of cat food (dogs were OK). But then it showed up about two days later. Ours was just the regular schedule, but it was delivered on-time.
Nice new tractor, Thomas. Congrats.
Happy Birthday to Sophie.
