Good morning!!!!

Good morning, temp is 22°F and going up to 39. Wind ESE 11 mph. 30% chance of flurries.

I'm off to Brampton today to pick up the Shelter Logic replacement covers for two of my garages. At first when I ordered them and paid over the phone they said I could pick them up. Then they called back after their closing hours and said in a voice mail that I couldn't go get them, that 'other' arrangements needed to be made. I call them back the next day and suggested they ship them. They said O.K. but I would have to pay for the shipping. I said no way I was paying the shipping, seeing as they don't want me to pick them up that they could pay the shipping. The girl I was talking to ran that past her supervisor and they decided that I could pick them up. Today at 11 A.M. I will be there. I have allowed 4 hours to do a 3 hour run one way. A stop at Tim Hortons for breakfast and a cup of their mud (coffee) will round out the trip nicely.

Happy Birthday Davids' wife and Happy Birthday to buckeyes' Dad. 96 is impressive.

Have a safe day all

Also got the last pallet of concrete unloaded from the truck, which involved taking the 4-in-1 bucket off and installing the pallet forks. The last two times I've done that I've had the Devil's own time getting the hydraulic couplers to let go as they've been under pressure. That meant beating on the couplers with a piece of firewood until they released, not something that is good for either of us. So I'm wondering if there is some trick or good practice I can use to release the pressure on those lines a little more benignly?

Have you tried turning the ignition switch part way to power up the electrics without starting the engine, then operating the controls for the 4-in-1? With the solenoid energised and the bucket open/closed valves each operated, it releases the pressure from the hoses on my loader. Always have bucket on ground and other loader circuits similarly operated first to de-pressurise other hoses, or force of gravity may keep pressure high, depending on how it is piped up.

Good morning, facetime and whatsapp video kept the family in touch over the weekend. Our 9 year old grandson, who is sometimes a bit of a deep thinker (he asked me "how can space go on for ever ?" a couple of years ago :confused2:) looked concerned.

It turned out later that he is thinking some of his older relations will not be here when this is over. As good as mobile phone apps are, it's not quite the same as giving a grandchild a hug.

I do that with my grapples plus, after disconnected, I hook up the grapples hoses to each other. If my grapples are off the tractor, they're also stored under roof so, they don't get heated by the sun which can build pressure too.

No project progress today, opted for more important stuff.
Today was wife’s birthday. Not able to take her out given current environment, so ....
Made dinner (not so unusual), but also baked her a cake. Not being a planned event was somewhat limited by stuff on hand. Even made her a buttercream frosting. I’ll spare you my singing.

425 CV19 cases in Ontario and 3 deaths on Sunday.
Population of Ontario as of 2019 14.57 million.
I survived SARS without getting infected and I am pretty quite sure I will survive this one too. I do not get up close and in your face anyway. I use the 6' rule on a daily basis regardless of what is going on in the rest of the world and am able to increase that to 10' if I have to. I haven't been out of the country since December of 1998 and then it was only to the 'States.

That's the process I use and it has always worked well.

41 heading to 50 this AM. Slight rain chances.
Wife called in the burn yesterday evening.
An hour later I see the fire marshal heading up the road. We have visibility down to the road about a half mile. Sure enough he is slowing down and turned into the driveway. I wave to him and he backs out and heads back up the road. Guess one of my neighbors called it in.
It was a little large

Hope all have a good day.

Be safe and stay healthy. 6350.jpeg20200322_164340.jpeg

42 and quite a lot of rain so far. Only looking for 50 later.

Great birthday cake for Sophie...hope she has many more.

Hope your dad has a nice birthday, BEF. Maybe plan a family celebration later when we are back to normal.

Dirtied up my just-cleaned pto by bush hogging 5 hours yesterday. Got about 2/3 of the fields complete. Had a red-tailed hawk follow me around and perch on trees waiting for a fleeing critter. Sure enough a vole met its maker. A crow was merciless swooping down at the hawk, and actually hitting in when it flew. I also flushed out the first snake of the season...a 3 foot black. Then swapped off the bush hog for the tiller to do one more garden tilling before this rain came in.

My wife made home made vegetable soup and grilled cheese, so went to bed tired and happy.

Stay well!

Nice fire! Will it keep burning through this rain?

Drinking first cup of coffee. 31° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 45° with cloudy skies. Got 1" of snow overnight. Drive is just wet. I thinks I will wait and see if walkways need cleaning. Laundry and house cleaning are done. Need a conserve energy day. Son and Grandson came and picked up his Travel Trailer yesterday. Only waved at each other from 50' away.
Birds are checking out all my trees.

Michigan CV cases/deaths. 1035/9. Oakland county 277/1. Still 60% of cases are 40 to 69 years old. 16% are 70 and older.

Saw this explanation of why places are being shut down. Not sure if all numbers are true. But it makes sense.

Happy Birthday Sophie !!!

Happy Birthday Buckeyes Dad !!!

Mostly, Lactose Intolerance. Dr mentioned that as one possibility. May be a good time to try not having any. Just need to figure out what to use with my Raisin Bran. Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Cranberry Juice, water or eat it dry. :confused3:

David, you did good with cake.

RNG, the projects continue. When will solar panels be installed?

Looking, safe travels to the big city.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Ron, any liquid that normally goes with raisins should taste pretty good on raisin bran.
I am LI as well and I use single-serving fruit yogurt on my raw oatmeal. Sometimes I put some Maple Syrup on as well.

Still smoldering this AM. Need to push it over....but the tractor is too new. LOL

I have two really big stumps in it. Really big...so I will just add to it and start over.

Rain up here is more of a drizzle.....
Nice fire! Will it keep burning through this rain?

Ron, try one of the lactose-free milks, or one of the fake milk alternatives, such as almond beverage or soy.

I felt I was getting a bit of bloating after eating cereal, so am on my 2nd half-gallon of the Lactaid fat-free brand and can't tell the difference.

The placing of the candles leads me to guess that she's 67. But whatever age, I wish her a Happy Birthday and many more to come.
