Good morning TBN!!
26 here this morning but supposed to make the low 50s.

I spent most of yesterday reclaiming my grandfathers old Ivers Johnson single sh** *un. Really neede it as it had a fair amount of rust and a lot of dust inside. Near as I can tell it's from the 20s or 30s. Apparently Ivers didn't keep very good records back then.
That's basically all I did.
Maybe down there later then usual today or hide in the bedroom. Wife is having a cookie party this evening. We all have our responsibilities. They will make them and clean up. I will eat them :giggle: :giggle:
Not sure what is on the agenda today but, I suspect it will maybe be more of the same since all the supplies are still out.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Tractor Morning,
Ct, 26 to start going to 43 with some rain coming in after dark, around 5 pm I think. Then we go back to the deep freeze 😒

Sitting in the kitchen reading the local paper this morning. I usually turn the TV on about 6:30 to wake Kathleen up, she likes to see the grand kids off at the bus stop at 8.

Lou, nice job on your new shelter, sure should keep your tractors much better protected from the elements up there 😒

Don, wondering if you have figured out all the new controls on your new Toyota ? Beautiful looking truck 😃.

Not sure what I’m getting into today, but I could use some cleanup down in my basement, lots of old paperwork down there that needs to go, amazing how you can collect all this stuff 😒

Hope all have a blessed day 🙏

I have 3 of these circles in the field.
Any idea what they are? Things like grubs and snow mold can both leave perfect circular dead patches in the lawn, which also regrow in a different color depending on which species of a multivar recover most quickly. But I don't think that's what you have here.

The ring with the center and outside both being the same color makes me think of the old buried foundation footers I see telegraphing thru the frost on my lawn on cold mornings. Our property is an old farm, and I can still see the outline of the old long-gone buildings in the frost patterns in my lawn, when the conditions are just right for it.

Was there ever a silo in that location?

32 outside right now, heading to mid 40's.

Real job in real city is chaos, getting there is also not a lot of fun. Customers and Boss happy, systems and worker bees, not so much. Is difficult for all involved. Lots and lots of changes, with no clear cut strategy.

Upon return home, stopped at hardware store for wrench and house maintenance supplies. Unfortunate should have brought a plumber home. Pull chain toilet developed a leak. Thought I could tighten it up, but upon doing that, the tank assembly shifted from the wall. Closer inspection revealed only drywall screws holding tank to frame and wall. That discovery was unexpected so whole toilet assembly had to come down. Now I remember why the plumber was fired twenty years ago when we were remodeling. He gave me some grief on hooking up a claw foot tub. This was after the toilet assembly. I should have checked that work a long time ago. Anyway our current plumber is scheduled later this week to fix the shutoff valve that will not shut off. In the meanwhile I get to anchor the toilet assembly back to the wall, properly.

Will feed the wood stove today and sit back and enjoy the fire for today. Nothing on the agenda other than the toilet framing.

Hope all have a good day, hump day! Be safe.

Thems fairy rings. Don't step inside them.

I have a perfect circle in my front "lawn" where my burn pile use to be. Some sort of "crab" grass recovered a lot faster than the rest of the grasses in that area. Look weird now, in the winter.

Good Morning
27° and partly cloudy. High of 40 and rain after lunchtime.

Yesterday was bitter cold, a good day to stay in the shop.
I spent a good portion of the day with Fusion 360 trying to design a replica Autocar emblem to 3D print. The white portions are .020 thick, and flush to the surface. It was a good exercise overall.

I forgot to take a picture of the other interesting project, fabricating and attaching the mounting lug for the forestock on a friends 10 gauge.

After dinner it was into the recliner with Zoe nearby until bed time.

Good morning, 32 going to 43 with some rain possible later on

Infusion went well and hoping for some improvements in her condition

Moved a wood chip pile left over from firewood splits down to the meadow area pile with the tractor
Discovered some drips of oil on the ground and started to investigate. Did not see any dripping
However when using the thumb all of the sudden there it was, a leak from the flat face coupler

Now should I go to the dealer and get the original Parker one or the less expensive ones from Amazon?

Neither! Find your local hydraulics shop, and buy the Parker without Kubota and dealer mark-up. :p

Morning all, 29 going to 44 and rain later.
Doggy seems fine today, course of Antibiotics and something to stop her from scratching.
Parts in for Jeep and the power supply showed up. This fan seems more energetic, now just need time and weather to cooperate so I can put them in. Fiddly stuff under there.

That's scary Wagtail, hope the fire gets completely out so you don't get too much smoke.

Be well,

New $300, used $80 and works perfect.
