Good morning!!!!

28ºF and snowing at the time of today’s low; still snowing and 30ºF presently; and I expect the snow should change over to rain/rain showers later today with a high temperature in the mid 40ºF’s. .75” of snow measured

My Wife and I went to BJ's yesterday. *All the high demand items were unavailable (excepting limited supplies TP). *It was disturbing to see that they were out of sanitizing wipes at the entranceway for the carts and only one bottle of hand sanitizing gel.*It was eerie to see all the chain restaurants in the mall closed.

Yesterday I slipped on what little ice was still laying around in a shaded area and strained my maximus gluteus muscle and today I actually fell and strained my quadriceps. I did manage to gimp around the lower perimeter…. I will resort to crampons in the near term.

Lou- That was a nice video of a beautiful area in NYS. Thanks.

Ted- I am “happy” to read that Max’s neutering went w/o difficulties.

“…. Nothing better than 2 fingers of “numbing fluid” and a smoooth cigar .. at the end of the day. ”- Rick. Medicinal strength numbing fluid in store for today for Happy Hour and I will be happy.

The past couple of nights we’ve been eating almost Don Approved® meatless dinners- a garbanzo stew and a spicy tofu stirfry and I lived to report it.

David- I love the rain water plumbing.

Bruce- Scooter looks none the worse for the “wear.” He’s a good looking dog.

“… Up to yesterday, the attempts to contain coronavirus were said to be causing the biggest disruption to society in the UK since WW2. Now people of all ages have been told not to go to the pub, something that even ****** didn't achieve.”- Eric I think that a lot of people woke up to the seriousness of C-19 with what is essentially a total shutdown of restaurants and bars by the many USA States’ orders. I talked to the owner of a local liquor store. I can preorder any booze for pickup and/or they will deliver for a charge. I looked at the home delivery food service that we used when my Wife and I were incapacitated one Winter. They still provide the service, but according to their website they are overwhelmed by the current demand and limited (non) supply of high demand items.

Phil- I am happy to read that your Birthday went well.

Mike- I am sorry to read about your beer situation. I hope that you resupply soon before there is a “run” on beer and it too goes the way of TP and hand sanitizer.

RonJH- I hope that your day goes well.

Drew- At least you may have the possible cause of what has been driving your symptoms. Good luck with the endocrinologist.

I hope that everyone has a manageable day today and manages to avoid unnecessary exposure to potential pathogens.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

Good morning to all! Low of 35, headed up to mid 60s again. Overcast this morning, no showers forecast until tomorrow.

Happy belated birthday Phil, I can’t believe I missed reading about it!

Max seems to have forgotten that he was at the vets yesterday, appetite is back to normal, he wants to play....hard part is NOT playing.

Drew, I did not correlate your symptoms with the possibility of adrenal tumors. My MIL was diagnosed with them about 15 years ago.... she had, and still does, the same / similar SxS as yours. They occur intermittently, often occur, but I would not say frequently. I am hoping the docs have finally pinpointed the source of your distress!

I can see the neighbors truck and trailer with a loaded blue tractor! I won’t disturb him, I am sure he got in late and is still sleeping!

My son uploaded a short video of completion of the metal roof trim pieces. Here is a link: Completing Metal Roof With Gable Ends and Ridge Cap - YouTube

Hopefully the masses will have their “ stockpiles “ all set and the stores will get a chance to restock. I am wondering how much of the perishable food items that were overloaded in people’s refrigerators will go bad before it is used?

Everyone have a great day!

Ted- From the looks of BJ's and the nearby supermarket only the highest demand items were off the shelves. Both stores looked as if customers were ripping open bags of flour during a food shopping frenzy.

The this Years first snow in March:

Ted- Not two of my better decisions on footwear yesterday and today. I did a body self check while down; I was lucky that I did not break anything. I will not go stupid like this again.

There are a couple of downed trees and soon to be downed trees in the picture. I could easily push over a couple physically. A lot of the trees here are doing poorly between two years of excessive rain, some serious wind/ice storms, and invasive insects and diseases. Lots of hung up widow makers.

Happy St Paddy’s Day

Wx looks undecided. That’s OK, I’d take an energy conservation day.

Gonna do corned beef and cabbage in the IP

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Gonna do corned beef and cabbage in the IP

Wife is cooking our corned beef in the slow cooker, later adding the cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. A meal I'm definitely looking forward to eating.
