Our neighborhood has shut everything down for a month. All buildings, all pools, all golf courses, all clubs, all courts, softball field, dog park, all bus trips, plant sale, bingo etc . . . - everything! Except the gardens and I suspect they will not be opened long.

Yes. My garden is on an automatic timer for watering, just have kale and potatoes now. The potatoes won't be ready for another month or two. A lot of the gardens just planted their spring plants last weekend. The CA knows and will try to keep them open as long as possible. I'm hoping they will keep them open but just limit the # of people in at a time. There are close to 300 raised bed gardens.

Good evening all. 52F for the start, rain. windy, .6 inch in the rain gauge. Windy for most of the day, 1.6 in rain gauge last check, and high temp was 57F. Slow start to day, between rain and up several hours last night had trouble doing anything. Did some light reading on Medicare, some online research talk with wife and insurance company helped sort things out. The joys of growing older. prayer for all.

Got the fascia boards on the house primed, and the front porch pressure washed and cleaned, but not painted.

Taking my son and a couple of friends to a Tank museum tomorrow. His real birthday is on Mar 17, but had to plan this for the weekend.

Good morning, the temp is 28°F and going to 34. Wind WNW 20 gusting to 30 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

I am going to the city today, early. There is an $0.88 sale on in one of the grocery stores and I don't want to miss it.

Tank museum sounds like a perfect birthday. Have fun.

Made a dump run yesterday, so stopped at the battlefield forest park and hiked Coco to the river for a swim. Pretty quiet until almost back at the parking lot...one guy with two dogs and a young couple with 4 dogs. They were having a hard time controlling, so didn't stop to chat or see if they were rescue dogs.

Wife went to take her mom back to the doctor, and the assisted living community would not let her in...no visitors or vendors allowed...wait outside...deliveries must be left at the door...only allowed her mom to leave because it had been pre-approved. Good safe practices for high risk folks.

Everyone please take care of yourself and loved ones.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 34° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 40° with mix of sun and clouds. I did get gas at Sam's Club for $1.78. After calling Amazon again. I got my pistol laser hand delivered yesterday evening. Will get that mounted today. Do not know when I will get to range to get it sited in. Got my Michigan Tax return yesterday. $1. Still waiting on Federal. I am going to stay close to home next 2 weeks. Getting some stuff done and taking pictures. Got a good Moon picture yesterday morning at sun up.


Hawkeye, I saw on news where 95 employees showed coronavirus symptoms at Kirkland nursing home. Be careful out there.

Looking, good luck shopping. If it's anything like here. It may be a good idea to save your money and stay home.

Kyle, enjoy the day out with kids today. They have closed all the museums here unless it is outside. Then they are limiting how many at a time. Early Happy Birthday wishes for your son.

good morning all. Another nice day today with pollen coming down, 50 out now going up to mid 60s, then an extended rainy period ahead. Of course that's what they predicted for this last week and not much showed up.

Helper coming today, thankfully, he's been out sick for weeks. We are cleaning out the garage today and he has to do all the lifting. We will fill up the truck and take a load to the dump, and maybe another one to Goodwill. Woke up this morning very dizzy, better now, wondering where that is coming from...

Hopefully I'll have some energy left to plant some flowers today. I had them out all last night, hardening a bit on tables near the greenhouse. I don't see any low thirties in the forecast so taking a chance with some early birds.
