good morning all. Nice sunny day up to 70 today.
RNG, thanks. Each of my restaurant meals were meet and eat with a friend or family. Otherwise I love controlling my own food (healthier) and prep in my rv.
My late wife and I use to take a lot of ship cruises and we were old hands at taking our own container of wipes and first thing was to wipe room down. We never got norovirus or in any way sick on a dozen cruises. I'm headed downtown food shopping today, will be interesting to see what they are out of.

I have been on Zofran for five days and feel much better. Used for cancer patients, it sure works for me even if drug plan would not pay for it, had to have cancer and/or going through chemotherapy for them to approve it. At 24 bucks a prescription at Walmart, I'm happy to buy it if it works. And so far it does. Underlying issue not diagnosed yet, so good I stay where I am. After having both brothers and my sister contact me in one day suggesting I not make the drive, and then two of the invites to our big dinner out., the handwriting was clearly on the wall.

Did half an hour of leaf mowing yesterday afternoon, nice to get out in the sun. Just wish my back would allow more than that.
Almost all the spring flowers are blooming nicely except for tulips, they are still coming up.

Good morning, with plenty of blossom in the hedgerows and lambs running around the pasture, it finally does seem like spring. No rain expected until tonight, if only the wind would ease up it would be very pleasant outside

Eric, Sheepless in Shropshire just doesn't have the same ring to it as Sleepless in Seatle.

On average, how many lambs do you get per year? How many do you keep for future breeding

Numbers can very widely each year, over the last 5 years it has been between 167 and 227 lambs. My friends who have kept sheep all their lives decide how many to keep for breeding and that also has no regular pattern to numbers. Only certainty is that all males will go to market.

Kyle, the trains only generally blow if there are workers on the line, or someone crossing. Heavy goods trains make a loud rumble, the latest passenger trains can be whisper quiet until they are only a few seconds away.

Mostly, nice legs, although the asymmetric sock look isn't generally the best when posing for the hottest rider calendar

That little .380 I bought has the stiffest slide I've ever encountered. One trick I've read is to lock it back (open) for a few days. That's what I'm going to do since it's too tough to rack right now... I'll post the results in a couple days.

Roy, interesting to see what happens. I always thought a properly tempered spring can safely be left compressed a few days without loosing any significant strength. If the effort does reduce and the spring is (hopefully !) not operating near to it's yield point, does that suggest they are manufactured with residual stresses still inside the steel ? :confused2:

This needs a good QA guy to investigate, fortunately you are already on the case

Good morning, the temp is 40°F and only going to 45. Wind WSW 8 mph. About an inch of rain coming this afternoon and tonight.

I may go out and move some more snow piles off the neighbours' south boundary. This is an annual affair. If I was to leave the piles where they are, then his neighbour to the south would get flooded out. I did move 1/3 of the pile the last time I went out. This pile is 9' high and 50' long and about 10-15' deep.

Alligators & crocodiles, in my opinion, should be shot on sight. What good are they other than for boots and purses?

Eric, your 'wellies' are our sheep boots. They come in real handy in the sheep pen. IF you get to send the male sheep to the slaughter, then who/what breeds the ewes? Maybe it is you, you do have the boots for it. :laughing:

Poured second cup of coffee. 41ｰ with clear skies this morning. Heading to 59ｰ with rain in pm. Finally got net off garden pond. Fish did good this winter. Still have 10 fish. Golf cart ran like it should. Dogs enjoyed the ride. Yard cleanup today. That will take a few days. County snow plow put a lot of road gravel on lawn. But they did not break mailbox this year.
Lots of critters in yard. Hard to pick a best picture.

Roy, more fun shooting it 200 times, but I know, ammo is costly.

I took the chainsaw and tractor out and tackled some more cedars...mostly cut 2 to 5 inch branches on the big trees, and cut down several small trees. 5 more grapple loads. I couldn't believe the clouds of pollen that were released when I dropped the branches. I have a few more branches to hand saw with my pole saw at this spot, and then I will have opened up a better view. Talked with some other neighbors and they had skunk stories, too. Seems like the whole road had a population explosion this year.
