I just put a milk house heater in the garage during Winter months and turn it on low. Never gets below freezing in there.

Many years ago wife car didn't start well during extreme cold so we had block heater put in on timer, least 6 times that winter she forget to unplug power cord drove off dragging cord,I guess one could say that's women thing. ;)

Opps, don't say that around Drew.

Morning session was a rare combo of Trailblazers and FireWise people. We had a large group of about 20 clearing underbrush with loppers two battery sawzaw's and my chainsaw.
Trailblazing started up again after lunch, a bit sore this evening. IMG_3570.JPG

No politics just numbers. Did anyone vote in the Super Tuesday elections and if you did was your voting place where both democrats and republicans voted and if they did were their more of one or the other? I was just wondering because here it was about 10 to 1. There was alway about 15 to 25 people in line, about a 20 minute wait.

Somehow I missed about the last 30 posts, had to go back and catch up.

Storms went thru quick.

Good evening all. 49F for the start, overcast. light breeze. Light wind day, overcast all day with occasional drizzle or light rain, high temp 61F. Cleaning lady prep to start the day, I went out and puttered with wood pile, got most of the sawed logs split as needed.Went for bike ride early afternoon, got some light rain at end of ride but driveway still dry. Went to go vote, 1 hour wait, much worse than when I had pass polling place during ride. No statistics posted except for total ballots cast, 376 last count I was there. No nap today :( Dog walk after dinner.
Roy that 50F sounds warm for you.
Billy. thought we might be done with wood stove but tomorrow might need it to take chill of the day. Scooter gets bored without us and is now waking us up early :(
Eric hoped you could have gotten more dry out time.
Drew good luck with your declutter and shopping with out getting the flu.
Ron, good luck with taking net off pond
Rick should have some rain coming soon. We get ours tomorrow.
Billy still a lot of deaths, I remember people quoting gun deaths vs hospital deaths and the difference was amazing. Wonder why there is not more uproar over these kinds of mistakes.
Thomas, getting new tractor fever yet?
RNG got a lot on plate today.
Don, good job on cards, nice to see the care you are taking of your Mom.
Randy, sorry about your phone, hope you can get it fixed soon.
Don good one had to read it several tines to get it :D
PJ good luck car shopping.
Hawkeye sorry to hear about FIL, hope you can ready for retirement in time!
Drew nice path to pond! Drew, they look like knees, eaten by beavers

Udder balm works good on big skin cracks
Don funny how sawsall in middle of pic :D My polling place was for both parties but no stats posted.

I've been voting by mail for years, and I think this year Kalifornia decided that would be the only way to vote. But as one of the Super Tuesday states, I found it somewhat humerus that candidates that had already dropped out of the race were still having their commercials broadcast, and even Facebook was encouraging me to vote when I'd already done that weeks before:confused2:

That's an awful lot of tinder still left on the ground, Don. It'll conduct fire to whatever else can burn. Is your Firewise group also putting in fire breaks that are cleared down to bare mineral earth?

a warm 52 going up to 65 today, showers tonight. Less rain this week than predicted, seems to fizzle out before it gets here.
Which is ok, ground is plenty moist.

going to be a clean up day here mostly in garage, and then maybe bag up more xmas stuff. Need to make a recycle run to dump so if I'm taking the truck out, might as well deliver more clutter to Goodwill. Had a good night's sleep finally, and woke up feeling much better. Waiting patiently for lab work and Lymes test results to come back. Should be later today

Tornados are very scary things, particularly when your house doesn't have a basement. I almost put in a tornado shelter here.

Good morning, the temp here is a balmy 28ーF and it is going to a high of 34. Wind W 6 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

I am going out to move some temporary piles of snow to a better location on the property, then it can melt at a later date and I can bury the cat. She has been in the little freezer since November. I use that freezer exclusively for dead pets.

Another reason to live where I do, NO tornados and very few hurricanes. That is on top of no bugs in winter.

Have a safe day all

Prayers for all in need

44 high of 65 here, too. We got only a sprinkle yesterday.

Jay, I fly my quad with the prop guards on...never thought about them catching tree branches, but can certainly see that. When I ran it into a tree trunk last week, two of them popped off but no prop damage. I was able to insert the guards back good as new.

Had an early annual eye doctor appointment yesterday. I actually enjoy that one...she's a treat to talk with...only downside is wearing sunglasses the rest of the day and being slightly out of focus. Since it was cloudy, the folks at the gym were looking at me oddly wearing sunglasses inside.

Picked up my mower blades at the Kubota dealer...didn't notice until I got home that they charged me $5 "freight." Ron, I think it was you that suggested Amazon...may have to look at that next time. I did a search this morning on the part number, and only one choice appeared - Oregon Gators, at $10 more a set. I'll have to dig deeper. I know some of you swear by the Gators, but I've been very pleased with my OEM blades, so stuck with them this time...only a 60" SD deck.

Good morning. Slightly overcast today and for a nice change, very little wind. Rainfall radar shows plenty of rain not many miles away, however it is travelling very slowly, with a bit of luck we should stay on the dry side for a good few hours yet.

Another reason to live where I do, NO tornados and very few hurricanes.
Sounds like a good place to live if you don't like the wind.

Who would have guessed that the chance of getting caught by a tornado in the UK is over 3 times higher than North America ?
Although we only get an average of 35 per year (and not as powerful) compared to 1,000 in the US, they occur over a much smaller area of land.

IIRC Holland takes top place for the most tornadoes per square mile.

Finished converting almost all of my bills to online pay. I hope those flimsy check envelopes don't get lost in the mail,
but printing checks is a lot less convenient and boy do they charge you a lot for those blank checks.

about to head into storage room. Realtors coming on Friday and I just have to make it look better in there...

wngsprd having used gator and original my preference is gator but not enough to discard old blades. Try to sharpen once a month to keep grass from tearing instead cutting. Healthy grass better looking yard

I got mine off EBAY. You may get more choices if you know blade dimensions. Having a JD gives me many more choices. I have 3 spare sets of blades for my 72" Kubota MM mower. Those things are tough. May never wear out the originals. Unless my JD dies.

Like RedNeckGeek, we voted early by mail this time for the first time in our lives. We did happen to drive by one of the polling places yesterday and it appeared that they had a pretty good turnout, but nothing really great.
