I saw that and immediate thought the Mavic Mini might serve you well.

When I checked out the Mini a few months ago, my iPhone SE wasn't listed as a supported device. I went back up to the DJI site, and the list had been updated to include the SE. So I downloaded and installed the DJI Fly app, which appears to run just fine. I couldn't connect to anything, but the menus all work, and I watched a couple of tutorials that answered a LOT of questions. :dance1:

One thing I noted is that the drone controller has to be plugged into the phone, and I wonder if that means I'd have to take the phone out of the OtterBox?

And how come nobody seems to use propeller guards? Do they compromise weight/performance too much? Those props look sharp and they turn pretty fast, yet I see people letting the drone land in their hand.

38ºF with mixed sun and clouds for today's low temperature. With increasing sun all morning the temperature maxed at 56F. Increasing cloudiness and temperatures are starting to drop presently ahead of the next approaching rain system. I was down in the CT Valley earlier this AM to pick up supplies and meds and the temperature then/there was in the mid 60ºF's and there was no snow. My northern slope's icepack is starting to thin; probably down to ~2" - 3"I still need crampons down there and on my hill.

We actually had a Sears repairman out here this AM to look at our dishwasher. Parts are ordered and will be shipped to us an there will be a return visit. Brogen slept through the entire time the repair guy was here.

Paul- I am sorry to read about your car troubles. Good luck with the car research and acquisition. 175K mileage is not too shabby considering that your KIA has been problem free.

David- You have more snow than most of the east coast excepting northern NE. Thanks for sharing.

Drew- Lyme Disease can be pretty debilitating. I hope the doctors can finally get a handle at what is driving your challenges. Antibiotics have been proven to help alleviate the symptoms. Thanks for sharing the path pictures.

Thanks for all the shared pictures.

Fear and greed drive the stock market. The drops/rises may be related to COVID-19 and/or the current political environment as noted. The rise may be linked to the Fed dropping the prime % rate.

RNG- I do not know if I should love or hate the provided link.;) Thanks  Prop guards really do not work all that well, they break, they can - affect performance, and most importantly they are great at grabbing and hanging on to trees and tree branches. I have seen some very serious hand and finger injuries posted on rcgroups.com One RC helicopter operator of a gas fueled heli lopped the top of his head off causing instantaneous death and right in front of the owner/operator's father.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 5:00AM. Plentiful sunshine. High near 80F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
If it breaks 80F today, it'll be the first time this year, and one of the earliest times it has done so.

I don't know what's in this stuff, but it works really well. I had one of those split skin things on my thumb, next to the nail, before I started the concrete work yesterday, and by the end of the day, it was larger and really sore. Three applications and a good night's rest later, the soreness is gone and the wound has closed up.

Yesterday's market rebound put a quick end to my attempt to do some bottom fishing. But with four more deaths in Washington state, I don't think CoVid-19 is anywhere near done with us yet. Thanks for posting good, practical, advise, Ron. No more handshakes for me, at least for the foreseeable future.

Got an early start yesterday, at least for me, and was mixing concrete again by 9AM. Would have started earlier, but I took some time to make a sheet metal collar to form the concrete at the top of the post hole. It came out surprisingly round, up until a bag of concrete slid in the bed of the side-by-side and turned it into an oval, and remained somewhat misshapen in spite of my best efforts to repair it. Didn't end up using it anyway, and just dug out a little dirt from the edge of the hole when it got almost full, and 80 bags of concrete later, all the posts have nice round pads of concrete around them, with the posts mostly centered. Used every bag I had on hand, and could have used a few more. But by the time I was out of concrete, my butt was making a third track and my back was looking forward to a strong adult beverage or three. for purely analgesic reasons, of course.:D

The old concrete mixer pretty much ran all day yesterday, with only one hiccup when the lever used to tip the drum came off. All that vibration loosened the nut on the bolt that secures it, but the junk bin held a nyloc replacement that should be more permanent. I think a couple of tack welds could also quiet some of the rattling the things makes, so maybe I'll find time to do that today, too.

With the warmer temperatures over the next few days, I'll try to get a few things on the van painted, if the wind ever stops. I'm already seeing 20 MPH gusts this morning.:confused3:

Think I'll get the braces off the solar grid posts today, and get the drain line laid and buried out at the shipping container. Somewhere in there the building inspector is supposed to show up; maybe they'll have a time window posted on their web site a little later.

The best thing I've found for those cracks around the finger tips is plain old fashioned Chapstick in the black tube. The spf types don't seem to work as well for me but the original formula is fast, cheap, and easy to carry.

In our house, it's the other way around. Starting to lose count of how many times my Wife has required professional repair of her phone. Fortunately, there is a place in Highland that does iPhone screen replacements for about $80. I think they're on a first name basis.

The only other one I ever broke was an original or a ‘4’, can’t remember which, I use it in the garage to WiFi stream Pandora on my Dewalt stereo. Had that job for 5 years or so.

I don't plug in vehicles very often, but when I do, I loop the extension cord around driver side mirror to give me fighting chance to remember to unplug it..
