A hazy moonlit warmer than expected morning low of 5ºF thanks to upper level clouds associated with the pending weather system. It’s presently 14ºF and it started snowing ~1:30PM. I anticipate ~7” of snow with this storm.
Wifey’s Forester’s tires have been looking a little low on pressure, but radial tires always look like that to me. We were leaving our friend’s place last night when the dreaded low pressure idiot light lit up. I was hoping the 7ºF temperature might have messed with one of those valve stem sensors, but this AM the light and the dashboard !!alerts!! led to my hauling up my air compressor from the cellar and fill the tires. According to my pressure gauge 3 were 10#’s light and 1 was 12#’s. Just another nuisance with which to deal along with the normal Saturday morning chores before the snow, but I got everything done and I can kick back.
David- Your rib roast reads to have been a much better meal than the sorry excuse for a cheese steak grinder/sub that I had at the restaurant last night. Last night’s experience reminded Wifey and I why we do not go there.
Billy- I am sorry to read about your MIL. I am happy to read that there were no serious sustained injuries. Falls are serious business in longterm care; so are bruises and skin integrity. I use suet to attract birds. I’ve never made my own mix; now I might.
Randy- I am sorry to read about your Mom. I am happy that both you and Ellen have been prescribed antibiotics for what is ailing you both and hope for a quick recovery. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Mom and you. Nice looking chef’s salad.
Phil- I am as ready as I can realistically be. I already have the vehicles positioned for easier driveway snow management, and the tractor is hooked up to be plugged in tomorrow for the engine block and HST filter preheaters.
Drew- I am sorry to read about your change of plans. The important thing is to regain your health and strength so you can more fully appreciate and enjoy your planned journey once you are in better health. Some places will put a hold on the depost for future use within a reasonable time period. I hope you can get that consideration.
RonJH- I am glad that you are feeling better. Nice pictures of the woodpeckers.
I hate to mention “tree rat”, but this year I have yet to see any red ones and only a couple of grey ones. They would always do a number on those suet cakes unless I added some hot sauce.
. I can see myself seriously damaging hardwood/linoleum floors, fancy rugs, and our rubber roof with my crampons. They have been seeing daily use since I received them.
Buppies- I am sorry to read that you are still dealing with your injuries sustained in your fall. I hope this resolves sooner than later. I wish you a belated happy 43rd anniversary. I wish you both many more in health and happiness.

Ted- That was a really decent video. Great work. You should wear a hat
A thumbs Up!!!!
I hope that everyone is making the best they can of what is going on in their lives this weekend.
