36F here this morning, supposed to turn single digit cold over next days and get some snow.

Jay, thanks for sharing your trip with us, sorry your wife broke her wrist, stay safe as you travel.

I've got big plans over the holidays of doing some work in the shop and garage. Daughter will be wanting to help in the garage so she can park in there over the winter. It is nice to have car free of frost (and snow) when going to work.

My son in law named my property, Randy’s Outback Game Preserve & Backyard Wildlife Emporium, it’s hard to fit that on a brand! LOL

We really took this one by the horns, but I think we have about milked this one and it’s time for moooooving on. At least that’s what I ‘herd’.

52 and rainy, turning cold late day. Have a good one guys.

One thing I found out about my new valve, the fit is so good that I no longer have a murmur, after 20 plus years it’s gone. The artificial valves create a murmur of their own.

68°F and .83 inches rain.
Needs to dry out a bit and back to prepping my carport area. A drain pipe to move and a bit of form work for the concrete. Considered doing that area when I had the big work done earlier but would have done differently. So up to neighbor’s and borrow some pins, pick up some stuff at PO, and hopefully dries out enough.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Jay, hope your own bed tonight feels wonderful and hope your wife heals quickly.
May your day go relatively easily.

Rain coming into next town over, so will be here in an hour or two
Dinner tonight will be local caught shrimp I had frozen in the freezer.
I can't add salt so lots of traditional seasonings are eliminated because they are all heavy on or based on salt.
Fresh sliced garlic is hard to beat. I also like mild curry. I could also do on gas grill. I'll ponder that for awhile and see
what motivates me, including having to stand in rain to cook at dinner. The door is actually quite close to duck back in.
Big pan on stove even closer and still good. Butter is always good. Important to pay attention and take them off heat when done.
A fast cooking fish. And some aromatic white long grain rice to put it on. Plus enough leftovers for another meal.

7 more days til Christmas

Sounds good Drew,
Last time I did shrimp.
Lots of garlic, not quite browned in butter & Olive oil, some Italian seasoning, pepper, some chili pepper flakes. I take the shrimp out after just a few minutes, allowing them turn pink both sides. Served over white rice, with the seasoned butter of course.
Leftover made into fried rice.

Going to get colder next few days, down in the teens

Went in late, got home real late. Missing the heavy traffic this way. Still had to detour on way home to miss accidents.

Good evening all. 28F for the start, overcast clearing out, moderate wind. Sky went ahead and cleared out, wind up and down until noon then dropped off slowly, high temp 49F. Both fire and I had trouble starting up this morning, POA BOD meeting recap, lunch bike ride ( less than 100m to go), no nap. Scooter walk without issue, and he was on a hunger strike until after walk :dog:
Jim interesting bike.
Buckeye, thanks for link, took awhile to watch it.
Roy hope you got home ok, had my share of snowy river bridge crossings.
Ron, those squirrels don't give up, neighbor greased a bird feeder pole, worked for a few hours till the squirrels wore the grease off!
Rick glad you got the last burn pile burned.
Jay, sounds like a long day, hope she does not read your posts, know how my wife would take it if I advertized she got loopy ;) thanks for link to Casa Luz.
Thomas hope you beat the snow.
RNG hope tire works as advertised.
Don thanks for the wrapping hacks will try and remember the rotate diagonal one.
Hawkeye, hope you can get her car in.
Randy did having a murmur contribute to the valve replacement?
David hope you get some drying. Is this your wet season?
prayers for all.

Freezing fog to start the day here, so pleased we have no need to venture out on the roads this morning.

I could be in trouble. Woke up with my second cold of this winter, just the usual sore throat and runny nose. My wife says she is not ready for another yet and doesn't want any more "gifts" before Christmas. Fortunately I managed not to say anything about marriage being all about sharing, but this could be another one of those times when I am grateful the Iseki has a cab - the tractor shed looks a draughty place to sleep at this time of year. :)

Good morning,
temp is 6°F and is going to a high of 0. Wind NNW 9 gusting to 17 mph. Sunny.
This is only going to be a 2-day cold snap, then we will be back up into the double digits.

I am out to plow this fine A.M., that will occupy me for about 3 hours.

Eric, sorry to hear you are not feeling yourself today. Nasty habit anyway.

Have a good day all

fair and colder weather here for a while, but next week it warms up again, 62 on Xmas day.

My shrimp was yummy but packaged rice mix had so much salt in it I could only eat a few bites. Should have used plain rice.
This was shrimp right off the docks, brought home and immediately frozen, so when I peeled it last night, no odor at all.

Nothing planned for today.
Eric, hope you feel better, same for others under the weather.

28 and finally cleared up. Should see 45 before temps take a big drop. Drizzle and thick fog all day yesterday.

Randy, sounds like a perfect name for your place.

Mostly, sounds like you're gonna make it...you can do 100 in a day, right?

After getting back from the gym, roasted a couple more batches of coffee to give away for Christmas. I'm now working on some special Christmas labels for the bags...I don't have special software, just old MS Paint, so will not be too fancy.

Good morning! 25˚F heavy frost, about as close to looking like snow as we can get. IMG_3408.JPG

Drank all my allotted coffee for the day. 15° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 18° with mostly sunny skies. There is a west wind that drive the into you. Got snow that fell this morning cleared off walkways. I could have used the leaf blower to clear it. It was so light. But then I would have had to walk out to barn to get it. Coins are gone except for the ones that were worth only face value. Going to pay granddaughter with them next time she cleans house. No plans other than to stay in house out of cold.

Eric, lots of liquids and vitamin C.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Presently a clear a sunny 30コF. We arrived at Bradly International (Hartford CT/Springfield MA) ~ 1:00AM this morning and checked into the Sheridan Hotel at the airport where we parked our car before we left. Fortunately it is in a parking garage so we do not have to deal with all the accumulated ice around here. We are taking our time getting moving so we can pick up some really decent barbecue takeout for tonight's dinner. We may see some snow squalls on our return home with the approaching cold front and then single digit temperatures for morning low's until the weekend. The NWS has issued black ice advisories. It should be interesting getting home. I really do not know what kind of frozen precipitation has fallen or will be,

I/We appreciate the +'s. Wifey is doing pretty well and I do not think the loopy description "loopy" wold agitate her (mood dependent).

Randy- I am happy that you are doing well.

Drew- I cook/grill shrimp quickly as you and I agree that garlic and "heat" goes well with shrimp. I am sorry to read about your prepackaged rice. I agree most prepackaged anything is usually much too salty (like a lot of spice mixtures).

Thomas- Take care with the snow.

RonJH- I am happy that you had powder snow. I rarely see that here.

Eric- I am sorry about your cold. Take care. Who knows what may befall us with all the sneezing and coughing going on in the airports and planes; both environment are excellent germ/virus concentrators.

I'll be looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight despite the temps being in the single digits.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Pura Vida!!!!!
