Poured first cup of coffee. 23° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with partly cloudy skies. Got about 1" snow yesterday. Walkways have been cleared. Played with camera setting yesterday. Did not make much progress. But did get a couple pictures. Here are 2. No plans for today.

Buckeye, glad you got some sleep.

LS, good looking canopy.

Looking, good luck getting Dodge fixed.

Drew, it's about time I did something with my left foot and ankle. I see primary care doctor Thursday. I added it to my list of things to talk about.

Randy, do you need to take anything for body rejection of something foreign in the body. Glad procedure went well for you.

Don, amazing procedure. Thanks for sharing.

Good Morning All.

Ron, apparently not, it has never been mentioned.

Is that a yellow cardinal on the bottom? I saw one last year.

37 and showers now, mixed precipitation and 32 early. Rain and cool today.

Great dog and cardinal pictures!
Have a good one. Prayers.

Here is my procedure in detail if anyone is interested.

Narrative
The right neck was prepped and draped in usual sterile fashion. Under
ultrasound guidance, an 8 French sheath introduced the right internal
jugular vein. Following this, Dr. Todd floated a 5 French balloon tip
pacemaker to the RV apex. An occlusive dressing was applied after
appropriate pacing thresholds were obtained.

Both groins were prepped and draped usual sterile fashion. A 6 French
sheath introduced into the left femoral artery and 2 pro glide devices
followed by an 8 French sheath were introduced to the right femoral
artery. He was then heparinized to an ACT of over 300. Following this, a
6 French pigtail was introduced left femoral artery to the noncoronary
cusp. A 6 French pigtail was then introduced into the right femoral
artery and through this an 035 confida wire was introduced. The 8 French
sheath was then changed out for a 16 French Edwards sheath without
difficulty. A 6 French JR4 was then passed over the 035 confida wire into
the ascending aorta. Using a straight wire, the valve was crossed easily.
The confida wire was then reintroduced into the LV apex over the JR4
catheter. The JR4 catheter was removed and a 29 mm Edwards sapien 3 valve
was advanced into the descending aorta and prepped accordingly. After
prepping, it was advanced into the aortic annulus without difficulty and
with rapid pacing at 180 bpm was deployed. Final aortography revealed
trivial to mild aortic insufficiency. A 6 French pigtail was then
introduced over the confida the wire into the LV apex and simultaneous
pressures were obtained and were as follows: Left ventricular pressure was
92 over an EDP of 10 to 18 mmHg and simultaneous aortic blood pressure was
90/55 with a mean of 84 mmHg for a peak to peak gradient of 2 mmHg.

Protamine was given and the left leg was closed with anxiolysis. The
right leg was closed with 2 previously placed pro-glide devices.

Conclusion: Successful placement of 29 mm Edwards sapien 3 valve via the
right femoral artery.

Somewhere around here they found and tagged a half & half cardinal about a week ago. See article below - they also mention the exceeding rare Yellow cardinal.

Good morning! 44˚F light rain, cold front blew in will stay cool today - in the 50s. Costco run today to finish Christmas shopping. Will be driving in the intersection of distracted drivers - the scene of the wreck - but this time in a rental car.

A few months ago, I picked up a used golf cart canopy, a couple pairs of mounting brackets, and a neat basket type thingy for $40. Only other things needed were some 2x3 square clamps. Today, I decided to finally put the canopy on the tractor (wifey did not have any honey do projects). The whole project took me longer to pick up the stuff than it did to get it mounted. Worked out better than I thought it was going to. There are even a few bolt holes in perfect locations to mount some cube lights (next project in a few weeks). I am hoping to get it painted to match this week, I will post some more pics then.

Looks like it was meant to be...nice work LS.
