Jay, the lizard was positively prehistoric looking, great shot.
Hope your wife feels better soon.

Don, I'm envying your time out with the JD in nice weather. $770 to fix my creased fender, and spot paint/repair two other spots.
I'll get more money on the trade or sale if there is no body damage. For every dollar of damage, they seem to deduct three times that from value,
so better to get it fixed. My truck is already, I think..., on the master computer with that bear damage to the front end. Comprehensive coverage so maybe
it was filed there. Now that was a 1000 bucks out of my pocket. No chance of subrogation against Mr Bear. :(
Truck runs fine now. Until next time.

My eyes opened a little this afternoon watching a Utah or perhaps Nevada state trooper video on Youtube, and most of what was recorded
was them stopping motorhomes and finding large amounts of drugs. That makes me feel a little uneasy, feeling like I'm in extra suspicion even driving through there.
But there are an awful lot of rvs. I wonder how they profile them.

So if I happen to go to my first ever legal pot store in California, and want to bring
some medical pot home, then I'll feel like an instant criminal since dog searches find everything.
Gosh I wish there were Federal laws that made sense here, instead
being a political football.

I was taught from an early age by a family of lawyers to obey the law, to have faith in the process of the law
to solve problems so that honesty would be enforced.
Seems some folks are corrupted by money, some are corrupted by power. So of course some small percentage of bad characters
carry a gun and badge. But I see police as the good guys, so I'm sure not going to prevent anyone searching my rv.
Go straight forward, do not pass Go, and go straight to prison for several nights, and come back to a ransacked rv.
It's not an attractive scenario. and for sure a trip wrecker.

I may be headed into Alice and Wonderland but pretty sure it needs to stay there.

beef burgers time on my vegan, turkey and salmon rotation. First had to clean the grill, then got it really hot to burn off
as much as I could and then the burgers went on with garlic, pepper and dried onion flakes pressed in.
Piece of swiss cheese on top, and I was happily full all afternoon. That's what a big load of grease will do for you...

Randy, hope you feel better every day, go have some gentle fun.

Friday the 13th did not go so well here in Costa Rica. 50 feet into a personal bird/wildlife guided tour Wifey/SWMBO (AKA Peg) tripped, face planted into some mud, and broke her wrist. It could have been worse. Our guide became our personal attendant taking Wifey to a local village Dr that he knew. Despite the primitive nature of his office he did a great job wrapping her wrist with medical supplies that the guide and I bought at the local pharmacy. The guide had to lend me $40(USD) until we got back to the Villa. That took care of all our remaining $(USD). The Dr. And guide really stressed that we go back to San Jose  to get x rays, etc. San Jose traffic is horrible on a good day in non-rush hour traffic; the normal 1 hour drive took 3. We finally found the hospital with GPS. I can attest that CR hospitals at least in San Jose are on par with any USA hospital (maybe better). Wifey got a nice new blue cast and then we had to deal with night time San Jose traffic getting back to the Villa Caletas.:eek: Our CC paid for the treatment and x rays. The tolls coming back care of most of our remaining colonies (CR currency). The $6945 colonies pictured = ~$12.63 (USD). Today's mission find an ATM.

 Good to read your bride on the mend...take it easy.

Good evening all. 36F this morning, fog calm wind. Fog was around for 2+ hours, overcast cleared off at noon, light wind day, high temp 56F. Puttering this morning, then chain clean and lube followed by bike ride. Scooter got his walk. He is rubbing his jaw a lot, hopefully it means his jaw is healing from pulled tooth.
Drew, hop your foot improves as fast a Dr. thinks it will.
Buckeye, hope you get some good sleep tonight, sounds like you are mostly recovered.
RNG good to hear the 12th went ok for you, hopefully today went as well.
Kyle let us know which mole you go for :)
Hawkeye good luck with your WiFi issue.
Bird, sorry I missed the spectacle :D
Welcome mpsmith60 :welcome:
RNG it is nice to see some less attentive to their weather buckets than me :D
Thomas glad you did not hav camcorder in hand when you got shocked
So the same night as surgery, after everyone is encouraging him NOT to overdo, he gets out of bed! Don't become pig headed ! :confused2::drink:
prayers for all.

Mostly- I did some honey doos. A/C filter replacements and vacuum the evaporative coil with the brush attachment....does a so so job... I did manage to remove and recaulk the shower in our master bath. She's happy about that. But my attempt to fix the leak on the other bathroom's tub did not fare as well. Turns out, I need a new diverter bathtub faucet/spigot. The old one has a plastic liner (most do nowadays), and it had a couple of hairline cracks at the 1/2" female NPT area.

Hope your doggy gets better.

Spread a couple of bobtail loads of gravel for the neighbor this morning.

I couldn’t read the tube, but they said it was a 3 angle valve job.

Lot's of good pig jokes.... I'm still trying to wrap my head around doing a valve job through the exhaust port.. :)

Sooey! Good morning. Why do I feel like wallowing in the mud this morning?

Lying here waiting on breakfast, watching the rain fall. It’s a beautiful day on Delmarva!
Oxygen saturation is 100% this morning, murmur is gone and I feel like new old man so far.

Hope you all have a good day, I’ll check in later. Prayers for us all.

After the bumper cover was removed the fiberglass bumper on the Stinger was found to be damaged and will have to be replaced, waiting on part. Looks like this bump in the back will cost her insurance $2K.

Don, not sure if you would want to, but there is some residual value in your parts. Many shops will repair those bumpers not as good as new, but not real bad. If Stingers were a more common car, you could probably sell locally, but you might have to ebay/ship something like that.

Good morning Everyone!!!!!!

Oh J, I hope she's not in too much pain. Sorry for y'all troubles. Prayers for her to get better.

Going to a wedding this afternoon. Need to stop and get a new bathtub faucet.

Drew, hope the foot gets better. I think if you trade in your truck, and you still want a truck, I would want one that had "marshmallow" suspension for the first few inches of suspension travel. Maybe a Raptor? ha ha, or a Mickey Thompson desert racer with long suspension. :)

wngsprd, "mouse killah" Rat patrol.

Just over 24 hours from arrival to departure. Doctor said my numbers and recovery were amazing. I have to take it easy for 4-5 days. Groin is sore as heck. But I’m home with a new valve.

Great, but take it easy.

What ever happens in California, should stay in California...

Some are corrupt in the head after consuming the stuff. Not saying it can't make you forget about your ailments.....

Drew- The USA pot laws are really crazy. Medical and recreational marijuana is legal in MA, but illegal to transport to Martha's Vineyard and/or Nantucket due to federal maritime laws. I think it is illegal to transport medical/recreational marijuana between two abutting states with similar marijuana laws due to interstate trafficking laws. And I hope that your foot issues resolve with the new boot(?)

Kyle- I hope Scooter recovers quickly.

Grev- Thanks for the laugh.

I/We appreciate the +'s.

Wifey and I found a really decent mall nearby with a bank and ATM machine today. Wifey is starting to feel better. Our plans have not changed; only our activities.

Towel sculpture is big here

A better pic of the iguana couple

".... Some are corrupt in the head after consuming the stuff"- Kyle. I truly believe it messes with developing minds that are not yet fully hardwired, and it can trigger "stuff" in some mature minds as well; but lots of things/experiences/stuff can do that.

When I was working I abstained for professional, ethical reasons. What I do now in MA stays in MA. It helped/helps me deal with my auto-immune challenges. I do notice the differences in how I physically feel/sleep in CR vs MA. My thought processes sadly remain unchanged

Who really knows; only time will tell. More real non-politicized, experimentally valid scientific research is needed which may or may not happen.

Pleasant, but not particularly productive day. Did get wife read in on the carport project and got her input. Of course she reminded me of a more than minor task that I was really considering as a separate project, so scope of carport project has expanded.

Leisurely lunch with BIL and his GF. Combined with errands pretty much consumed the afternoon. Energy conservation for rest of day.

Good evening all. Scooter is in my lab so typing is more of a challenge! 39F for the start, mostly clear sky, light north wind. Sky clouded up with high cirrus, then some thicker lower stratus moving later. Wind was light to moderate and high temp was 59F. Plan A for the day was to go to craft show with wife, she tweaked her knee decided too painful to walk. So went on the Saturday group bike ride instead. 2 hour nap after ride then into town for kerosene, groceries and dinner (Mexican).
Buckeye glad you made it through first week of work.
Bill used to feel the same way, when weather guessers would forecast a big storm hit us then nada:thumbdown:
Eric like the seat assist, nice tree stand.
Drew, remember downsizing prepping for move, continued downsizing after move, was difficult to be realistic about what I needed going from 3 acres to 1/3 acre:eek:
Phil, bummer about your roof leaks.
RNG, never paid that much attention to tires, van ate tires like no tomorrow.
Don hop you get car back soon, looks like you are getting more warmth than we are in North Texas.
Ron I hope I am doing a well as your aunt when I am that old.
Jay glad things are going well sorry about mrs J wrist, hope minimal impact on trip and rapid healing.
Randy great that things are progressing well.
Jay I have Scooter (dog sitting for stepdaughter). His is mending well and spending this evening trying to boss me around. It is difficult to be a dog here!!
enjoying all pics
prayers for all.

I’m rooting for nada for tomorrow. Forecast is for 24 hrs of snow, sleet, freezing rain starting at 3am Monday.

39 and clear, going to 55 and sunny.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. J...at least a beautiful place to begin to recuperate.

Randy, phenomenal recovery. What were the letters that name the procedure?

Finally figured out why we have such a strong skunk smell remaining. Duh. Since I was dealing with two skunks at the same time, skunk #2 lifted her tail while I was engaged with skunk #1, and the fog enriched the aroma and drifted over to the house. Once it drifted under the porch, it hung around until yesterday's strong winds cleared it out. This morning the smell has shifted over to the grapevine arbor, which was still pretty strong walking by.

Mostly, have fun with Scooter. We had Mexican yesterday, too.

Good morning,
temp is 11°F and it is going up to 14. Wind WNW 9 mph. Flurries ending this morning.

The block heater is on and I WILL be plowing today. We got about 4" on top of the two from the other day.
That is my game plan for today.

Have a good day all

   / Good morning!!!! #103,599
Need get coffee maker filled with water and coffee. 29° with light snow. Heading to 30° with light snow all day. Good day to stay in an conserve energy.

Prayers and best wishes for all.

35 here this morning. The wind is blowing so hard and constant it sounds like a train going by.
Sorry about your wife Jay, hope she heals quickly. Enjoying the pics and story, keep it coming.
Mostly-I hope your wife's knee gets better.
Took a climb up into the attic to look around, didn't really see anything wrong up there.(I'm getting to old for this ladder and crawling stuff)
Glad your still getting better Randy.
Will be a putter day today. Nephew slept over. We will be out to breakfast and see what the day brings.
Stay safe everyone!
