Good morning! 37˚F not freezing like predicted, cloudy getting to the mid 50s. I need to take the hay off my tender garden plants and weed the garden today.

Drew glad you found your phone.
Enjoyed the "DAD" pics.
Eric your glasses are most likely not on a black sheep but in a pile of black _____.
Kyle hope the Dr. can figure out what is going on with your daughter.

I'm in a rental car provided by the distracted lady's insurance co. It does not have all the driver assist bells and whistles like the Stinger does and have to resort back to old fashion driving. If the distracted lady was in a Stinger the alarms would have undistracted her and prevented the big bump.
Have a safe day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

The maitre de remembered us from our last visit here and we got the royal treatment including special seating to view the sunset, putting 3 waiters, 2 bar tenders on us and himself and a personal introduction with the head chef

Wngsprd- I do not know how you remembered my anniversary better than I. Thanks for the reminder. My Wife thanks you too:cool: We toured the coffee region in a previous visit and I brought back 17 kilos of assorted coffee beans. USA customs were already giving me a hard time due to my activities with livestock and the residue on my boots and then they found the coffee. I think they let me pass just to get rid of me.;)

I tried to, but could not enlarge this sunset picture

Randy and David- Thanks for sharing the pictures of your Dads:cool: The greatest generation. Randy- more + vibes sent your way.

David- Thanks for sharing another beautiful picture of HI. HI is now on our bucket list.

Grev- Good luck with the trucks and creating a crown on your driveway.

Mostly- I hope Scooter recovers quickly

Eric- Good luck with the new and improved Christmas tree stand

Rick- Villa Caletas is in the same general area, but more southward. It's an amazing place. I asked Wifey what this room cost us, but she could not remember ;)

RonJH- Great moon shot for a handheld camera. I am currently working on how to use my iPhone to operate my TGE-6. They are already WIFI linked.

Kyle- I hope that your Daughter continues to improve. Those are weird symptoms :(

Had it not been for the services and sacrifices of the Greatest Generation I/We would not be here in CR enjoying the people and Nature.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

watch out for black ice Frank.
Road right in front of my house is shaded by overhanging trees, so often icy when other parts are bone dry.
Already fixed lawn out there three times as folks skid off the road into the ditch. Then the wrecker makes even more
of a mess. Very important to stay out the ditches...

47 out, rain just finished but I think a few more showers this morning, temps slowly dropping all day, chilly weather returning, but a lot
more exciting for others with more snow coming.

other than a drugstore run, not much planned today, having dinner with friend tonight. Though at 9am I have to call the lady at an rv campground to confirm my reservation for third week in January, they said they were full but a spot opened. Good timing. Del Raton rv park ten minutes from friend's home in Delray Beach, could not be easier. While campground is very nice, location is awful, Route 1 in front and Dixie Highway in rear, and car dealerships on both sides. Usually these campgrounds are more remote, but land is so expensive in that area not many rv parks. This place is reasonable, in Key Largo the rv rates start at 110 a night. But Key Largo has its own private beach and snorkeling, which I really enjoy. Who wouldn't want to swim with pretty fish? Plus swimming is good exercise for me and I love the water. I'm trying to get in a few beach days before I head over to other side of state and visit other friend in Ft Myers.

In 1973 when I spent the winter in Fla, I stayed at a rv park in Boca Raton. Right across the highway from a bar. perfect!

jbrumburg, "USA customs were already giving me a hard time due to my activities with livestock and the residue on my boots".
Doesn't customs like good fertilizer?
With all the schit that they shovel, a little bit more on your boots shouldn't phaze them one bit.

Good morning to all! Low of 24, going up to near 50, sunny, breeze 15 to 20 mph.

Jay, gorgeous sunset pic! Keep them coming! Sounds like you are getting the 5 star treatment!

Drew, I knew you would find your phone soon after returning home!

Mostly, I am still amazed how by how many miles you ride!

We are heading out to the garage project early this morning... in a few minutes.... we are going to get some metal put up while the ground / mud is frozen. Should be a good solution even if only for a short time each morning.

So... got to get moving... everyone have a great day! Prayers sent.

Good to see everyone busy.

Jay, enjoy your vacation/anniversary, make those lasting memories!

30F this morning, a couple inches of snow overnight. Roads will be slick this morning, news already reporting 25 accidents locally at 7am. Daughter left early for work, will take route through town and avoid some freeway. She purchased new tires recently and has AWD so should be ok.

Stay safe, prayers for all in need.

Thanks for the +'s.

LFN- The closer the bar is to where I will be sleeping the better.;). The problem here is the labyrinth of paths around this place. The incident with USA customs was my second time there due to work. We stayed at a farm in the middle of nowhere in the Osa Peninsula. The Osa is is known to be the place where only the wanted and unwanted go. We built a spring fed water system down to the public school in the jungle; I learned how to manually milk a cow during this endeavor. The. cows loved my snoring at night and in the morning they would be by my open air window some looking in. The bull was not pleased with their interest/my presence. Wifey hooked up with me after my “tour of duty.” I spent a month in CR that trip between work and R&R.

A :censored: Capuchin monkey just walked by on our deck.; It was limping (I did not do anything to it... really) probably a forward observer. They must have heard that I was back. This is not good, :(

RNG good luck getting tire, cranking voltage project shelved?

I'll be shopping for a new battery today, Mostly, hopefully one I can pick up when I'm in town tomorrow. The Subaru man also has a new water temp sensor ready for pickup. Now I have to find where the old one is installed...:confused2:

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 8:15AM. Cloudy this morning with showers during the afternoon. High 58F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Dense fog advisory in effect for down in the valley this morning. Pretty typical December weather. Man, that fog can be COLD!

Seeing camera blur on last ride's GoPro video, so ordered an isolation mount to try. Not sure how much room there is for it, though. When I put the LED lamps on the van, the headlights didn't improve much. Then I noticed there were metal shields over the lamps. I cut them out and the lighting was very, very good. Found the same problem with the headlight on the touring bike yesterday, and also learned I could separate the reflector from the lens. I did, and was able to pop the shield out without cutting it up. Made a big improvement in the light, but it still seems like the high and low beams are switched, even though all the alignment notches are in the right place. It may be that I need to swap the high and low beam wires on the headlamp socket.:confused2:

Forgot to say that the gal at the building department called Monday to say she was on vacation a few days last week, and would try to get my application to the inspectors this week. Later in the day, she emailed that the application had been submitted. Good she didn't have any questions, but now the real waiting game starts...

Anybody remember Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys? Screened a movie called "Love and Mercy" the other night that chronicled his struggles with mental illness and abuse in the '60s, and for me, at least, helped me understand where the Pet Sounds music came from. Very enjoyable, uplifting movie, even if you're not a Beach Boys fan.

Hump day already. Sheesh, seems like it was just Monday!
