Did some home work on new camcorder my have things change since 20+ years ago  guess I'll leave this task up to Mrs. since she want wifi iphone etc. goodies, I want nice little hand held basic.

The video cameras on today's smart phones put most previous camcorders to shame, Thomas. If the boss wants an iPhone, she'll be all set!

Went out to wash Audi, looked inside, there was Apple phone on passenger side rear floor, even though I stuck my hand way under there it was clearly in a hidden zone, and it slid out promptly after paying 40 bucks for transfer plus the phone.

Yep, works every time! :duh:

As usual, an abundance of great pics showing the awesome places people live and visit. Don’t mind looking at the snow as long as I don’t have to shovel it. Guess I should be getting our tree up soon.

Even better to hear of folks on the mend, even BEF back to work 🤙

I carry (and misplace) my iphone almost everywhere I go. Will almost always set it down someplace safe where I’m working, then have to hunt for it. I use Find my phone a lot. Wife has to call my number a lot too. Too often it’s in plain sight, just blending in.

I got my carport plans done enough to get truss input. Submitted to the local manufacturer by email, didn’t have to go in. So I also posted over in the Build it forum for TBN input. While I won’t attempt to finish the job, it would be nice to get the posts and beams up while my tenants are on holiday.

Good Evening Y'all,

Warm today, Warner tomorrow.
I added a Vent to the Barn Door, it has louvers in it and they are adjustable so I can close them when the big rains hit, they are also screened ! It passes a nice flow of air when opened full, I have another for tomorrow install, then two more in the waiting just in case.
Hoping to reduce the heat in the Barn during the hotter months, I used to use a screen insert I made, it helped a lot but I added a Door Opener, when closing, it doesn't like the screen so I am trying the Adjustable Vents, hoping for the best.

Working on improving my method of using a Land Plane to create a driveway with a crown. I need some drainage on the sides too.. got a lot of help on the Gravel Road Maintenance Thread, after install another vent tomorrow I will do some edge work.

I have had a 8' Wooden Step Ladder for a LONG while, 30+ years, and its got a little loose, I tighten the cross rods for each step, added a new Flip-up Shelf made from 3/8 Plywood, those two things tightened it up. Then I added a cross support of 3/8 Plywood, across the back of her about 18" high tapered to fit, glued and screwed. All in all the old girl is solid as a rock.

interestingly enough, I went to Lowes a few days ago, asked about any scope 3/8 Plywood handing around. I was directed to the Cutting Area and there was a piece of 3/8 Plywood about 16" wide and 4 ' long. I asked about a price, they asked me what I was going to do with it... I told them fit a wooden ladder, they said I could have it. They marked it with a PINK Marker and it was free.
When I went to check out, the Clerk at the Register, yes I do not use the Self Scan Check Out, looked all over the pic for a tag, I told her when I approached that it was a scope piece and it was free, see the PINK Mark. Well she had to get a manager to come to the Register and approve the action... funny !

All in all I had a good day, got one vent in, got two quotes on new Trucks, and fixed up the ladder... and there is tomorrow... God willing and the creek don't rise !

God Bless and a Merry Christmas to all !

Handsome guy, from a Great Era in our country. Imagine guys lining up to serve...

Didn't take him long to settle into that retirement lifestyle, did it?

No it didn't, can't blame him either. Wonder if that sinking in the mud after 6' was instant karma?

Good evening all. 36F this morning, overcast, light wind. Forgot to check bucket for rain amount, Did not see any snow either. Air has been so dry that precipt has had trouble reaching ground. Sky did clear off late morning, wind stayed light to moderate and hi temp was 43F. Had to drop Scooter at vet for surgery, they found bad tooth and took care of it at same time. He 's not a happy camper tonight :( I had blood drawn for annual physical after dropping him off. After cleaning lady left, started fire in insert, and went for bike ride, wished I had worn heavy winter gloves, fingers got cold  rest of day was fire tending and conservation of energy.
Billy, 235 miles to go for 6K as of tonight. will be third year if I make it. We haves used dry cat food in STL and ICT with great results for skunks and racoons.
Eric Having paraglided tethered to a boat, can say that it is fun :cool2:
Bill you are not alone in messing up appointments.
Thomas sorry about camcorder, I too enjoy your critter stories. Boo Boo laying low?
Ron, nice Christmas tree.
RNG good luck getting tire, cranking voltage project shelved?
DABSGT, always hate when tools get borrowed and not returned. That has not happened near as much after the move.
Ted good luck on garage project, it takes so long for mud to dry in winter :(
Don, good thing you don't have to have it, Right?:yuck:
Hawkeye, glad wife is getting better, hope they find granddaughter's issue.
Ron nice pic, your grass is green in the snow!
Jay, very nice pics.
Drew sorry about the phone bill then find phone on arrival home:eek:
David love your view, good luck with carport for cottage.
Grev, fun story from Lowes, right hand cannot remember what left hand is doing
Prayers for all.

Good morning all. It didn't seem that cold this morning, with only a light frost, then I come back inside and see the pictures of far away much warmer shores and realise there is a lot of scope for improvement.

My wife wants me to make a more stable Christmas tree support than the flimsy one she bought a couple of years ago. Should be a good excuse to thin out the scrap pile and play with the welder.

Found my missing regular glasses inside the bucket of my grapple.
Intriguing place to keep them Drew !

The glasses I lost a few winters ago while putting out hay have never surfaced again - though I have my suspicions ...

34 and snowing, but not sticking to the ground...going to 41.

Great WWII pix. Heroes. Freedom.

Speaking of cell phones, mine (Samsung Galaxy 5) has gotten pretty old so that the battery won't hold a charge long enough for me to get through a single cardio workout...and boy do I move slower without the music. I'll look for a replacement battery, although I've heard that many on the web (Amazon) are poor quality). I like my phone and see no reason to replace it.

Haircut and gym today and more decorating and paperwork.
