Rick, speaking of grapples, that is exactly what I was thinking about. Nice picture.
A remarkably handy device to have, when you have just the right tool for the job

Even better to have two of them Drew.

I had anticipated evening rain changing over to mixed precipitation early AM, but instead it was a dry and*overcast morning low of 30ºF; 32ºF with very light freezing drizzle just starting; and I expect an overcast afternoon high temperature in the mid30ºF’s with a chance of afternoon precipitation.* The NWS is still predicting a mixed precipitation event tonight into tomorrow AM with higher elevations changing over to snow especially in the eastern slopes of the Berkshires. I am happy that the anticipated weather did not occur as I had to take Brogen to the vet for his monthly nail trimming. It was the typical 3 on 1 wrestling match with the usual outcome.

Rick- I am happy that the teenage hunter training and hunt was so successful. I worked in a secure female psych admissions unit +1 year as an attendant working nights and almost 10 years as a psychologist. Females outperforming the males does not surprise me.

Randy- Nothing is better than a good meal with friends with lots of leftovers. I am happy to read that you and Ellen had a good time and I am already putting out the + thoughts and prayers for your valve replacement.

Kyle- I almost did not fire up the stove this AM, but it was so raw outside that I decided on the warmth of the wood stove over the heat exchangers or baseboard heat “colder” heat.

Billy- Thanks for the laugh. When I read posts like yours and Rick I feel that at least some children are learning + social values and responsibility.

Don- That oak is awesome  Thanks for sharing.

RonJH- Thanks for the bird pictures.

Thomas- Good luck on finding Momma Moose and her calf and stay safe.

Ted- I am happy to see you posting. I know that you are a busy man with a plan.

Drew- Good luck with the baking. I bet your house will smell wonderful later.

RNG- Thanks for the laugh and good luck with the solar guy.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Monday.

My + thoughts and prayers.

41 going to 48, showers this evening, then a little milder tomorrow but still below normal.
Need to figure where I want the mower deck for the winter, somewhere out of the way but with room to drive off of it.
I’d like to get the driveway finished but I’ll see how cold I am first.
Have a good one, prayers.

Randy, can’t you just roll your mower deck around on it’s anti-scalp wheels?

I love oak trees. The property I used to own on a mountain top in WV had a huge oak tree.

I am excited about new job role... and a coworker that I have known for years sent me yet another job opening.. that actually aligns with my technical knowledge but working on solutions. It is a WW job vs the North America job I am currently moving to.. I initially declined to look at it since I had already accepted the new job.. I sent an email to the manager that has the opening, see what happens.

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

Don- I would consider that old oak to be a "widow maker." I like that picture. Thanks for sharing.

Hawkeye- There are good problems and bad problems. You are on a roll with good problems.:D Good luck with the job decisions.

A miserable, raw day to be outside around here. I think that I'll be hovering around the wood stove this PM.

Sure, I guess I didn’t make it very clear what I meant. I need clear an area in the small garage to have enough room to back over the deck and not hit something. I can roll it wherever or grab it with the loader and chain and put it where I want it. I wasn’t sure which building it was going in but now I know.

Turned into a busy day. Oil is changed in Generator, Tractor and Mower. Took a bad rug back to Menards. Then went to Sam’s club and ordered new glasses. Trying to conserve energy. What little is leftover.

Thanks Jay, I figured if I was making a major change, it should be one that benefits me the most so I owe it to myself to look at the other job, even if it does not pan out. My wife was thinking the same thing and was waiting for me to get to the same place.. it is very nice to have the support of my wife.
