Got the tractor just before lunch so I didn’t have a lot of time. I mowed a stretch in back my hired guy always skipped, then moved a downed pine tree, shoved some brush into the woods, filled a small sink hole and tried out the grader box. That thing is great!

Woo Hoo!!! Looks like the Massey'll be a nice little worker for you Randy, and glad you didn't waste any time getting some of the paint rubbed off the new implements!

Ellen and I had a great lunch with Drew, always enjoy his company! Great Cob Salad, too.

Real nice set-up for your needs. (I noticed a sweet car in that garage, too).

Now that is my kind of house. Just the right size for 1 or 2. Probably easy to heat, too.

The govt forced the landowners to sell in order to make the national park.

You can rent this one for $45 a night for 12 people. Has beds and some furnishings. Pit toilet and plenty of bears around.

I am familiar with goobermint land grabs. Although it didn't affect me, the Brougham, Ontario/Claremont land grab did affect a lot of my friends. The gov't said it was for a second airport that was near Toronto, much like Mirabel, P.Q. is near Montreal. To this day that airport has never been built. That was prime farm land.

Good evening all. 33F for the start, clear sky, calm wind. Sky stayed clear, wind stay calm to light, and high temp was 61F. Slow start this morning, work consulting to start, bike ride, then nap and leaf pickup with leaf sucker. Almost 2 lawn bags on just the concrete
Drew, used to follow unlimited hydroplanes, was at Thunder on Ohio, had camera ready when one of the boats did a blowover, pushed the shutter button and nothing  Had forgot to advance the film after previous shot :ashamed: :mur:
PJ can you make a bar to put on wall mount to use the body rather than the tuners?
Jim, neat story.
Buckeye neat cabin, you say it sleeps 12?
Randy, nice tractor, good thing the weather was not conducive to seat tine! :D
prayers for all.

Glad to hear you putting it thru its paces.

Tundra is a challenge. Dealership says nothing wrong. Lights acted normal. Guessing they maybe a bit different to us due to software update. Said possibly bad battery. Only a year old. Put back on charger, up to 100%

A couple short trip without incident.

Visited local body guy, taking to him Tues to fix scraches.

Monday will go to LineX for look to touchup.

Opened dialogue with Honda guy that was salesman both for the Tundra and wife’s Pilot.

Didn’t make much progress on planned activity. Took wife up to newest neighbor to meet her recently arrived horse, Linus. Stayed for a couple of beers with here and her husband. Done a lot on the property, a good addition to neighborhood.

Buckeye neat cabin, you say it sleeps 12?
.

They say 12 is capacity. There were other cabins in the vicinity, but not maintained.

Got up around 40° today b

Started on my fire pit. Decided to move it a little further from house. Shoveled out sod, used it to fill low spot from geothermal install, then put down gravel. IMG_2435.JPG
Now I need to get the blocks.

Then mowed leaves again.
That little bit of work wore me out. Legs really hurting.

Good morning all.
nice night's sleep in my own bed.
About .6 inches of rain so far, and lots more this afternoon into tomorrow.
I looked at the wind patterns and it almost looks like a circular hurricane pattern around Bermuda.
We have gale warnings here with expected 40mph gusts.

laundry in wash, coffee pot brewing, admit I reheated yesterday's road coffee (Wngsprd close your ears), but
eagerly awaiting the good stuff brewing. Using a 50/50 mix to cut down on caffeine

found some addit pics on phone. My friends are clearly foodies, this was last night's dinner and dessert. Chicken, Swiss chard and orzo.
Plus some apple something for dessert. It's all Bon Appetit stuff, they have fun with this. I'm not quite so patient...

First of three accidents I saw on this trip. Cayenne didn't do so well, from what I saw, other guy was worse. Either intersection accidents or a rearender.

Good morning. Few autumns have been as wet as this one, it finally eased yesterday with just one heavy shower in the night. All fields will be no go areas except on foot for a good few more days and a far too generous grandson has given me his cold accompanied by slightly achy limbs, so I don't feel like pushing tools around in a wheelbarrow. The positive side to this is that I can have a whole day welding without feeling too guilty at what else is not getting done outside.

PJ, your guitar looks great on the wall. Hadn't realised you were having to spend money on custom mounts - could have given you some baler twine to hang it (obviously marinated in a gateway for a while to transform bright orange into something better colour matching the neck )

Randy nice looking Massey

BEF, good to hear you are doing things you could only have dreamt of a couple of months ago, just don't go attempting your '86 balancing tricks for another week or two.

Rick, I'm intrigued, how did you get the drilling rig itself to the other side of the Bosporus bridge, partially sink it, turn it on it's side, borrow Ron's cranes for an air lift or what ?

Paul, I hope you will record a little something on your new guitar, and put it on youtube so we can find it.
I promise to vote early and vote often with the Likes!
You are truly a man of many talents.

Buckeye, great pics of you in earlier times. Something tells me your hair might be a little whiter now...

14 right now...high in the upper 20's today.
No real chores planned for today since I took care of them last weekend or during the week.
I do need to pick up checks at the bank and a few hundred bucks (more on that in a bit)
I'm taking two handguns to a local shop to put on consignment. One is a Taurus 85 Ultralight with a shrouded hammer...frame is all titanium. Nice gun, but just never fit me. That's surprising since my "always" gun is another Taurus 85 Ultralight (aluminum frame, titanium cylinder and barrel shroud) with a hammer spur. I' had this one for many years and, unless I carry something larger, the Taurus always goes in my pocket when I'm out and about. Considering it's a small frame revolver, I shoot it pretty well....up to 7-8 yards.
The other gun going on consignment is a Ruger LCP. Not a bad little pistol, but another I never carried too often.
I'm buying a Taurus 856...similar to the model 85's, but 6 rounds vice five (the model 85's capacity). Since I'm not trading the two pistols described above, I'll need that few hundred dollars to purchase the 856...
After that, just see how things go...

Taurus Introduces New 856 | Taurus USA
that grip looks comfortable Roy.
Do you carry a revolver vs an automatic for reliability? complexity and cost?
what was "special" about a .38 Special?
I'm glad you are carrying because you'll be the guy to save someone sometime. Maybe save a lot of people.
Now I might wish you had some new stun gun bullets but sometimes, against an animal, you need something stronger...
Too bad we don't have selectable power firearms.

The number of school shootings this year is horrifying. I think the time has come to put metal detectors in all schools, though I suppose some of these guns
could get by them.

Good morning.

Temp is a balmy 2 ーF and going to a high of 18. Wind NE 14 mph. Sunny.

I plowed yesterday and gave this place a lick and a promise, so today I will need to fine tune here. A neighbour emailed me about doing her place, but I didn't get the mail until 9:45 P.M. I will go over to her place and do her, then back here to finish the 'fine tuning'.

That is a pretty little Massey. I hope you have many satisfying hours on her.

BEF: I will bet that other than your face, you don't look like the picture from '86.

daugen: When I was a kid, (still in school) I had a Lee-Enfield .303 that was deadly accurate at 100 yards. The odd thing is that although I had lots of chances to take my rifle to school, I never did. Yes, I was bullied at school, but there was no way that rifle was going anywhere near the school and it never did. I solved the bullying with my fists.
Metal detectors? Better you strip search the 'little darlings'.

Have a good day all
