Good morning!!!!

Picked up the revolver...gun shop was jammed with hunters want to weigh their deer.
Picture is stock off the internet. I'll need to clean the preservative oil off mine before snapping a few pics.
I like the black finish. Not sure how it'll hold up when holstering repeatedly....but I bought the gun primarily to reside in a desk for home defense so, I doubt I carry it too often (even though I did order a holster for it)
The front sight is black..and I think I'll have to paint the ramp with something to contrast it for a better sight picture

I've been reading and keeping up. Twice I've had posts typed up, ready to post, and something on my cell phone messed up.....losing everything. The nut in front of the but.

Diverse prolific group here. Great pictures.

One of my employees was diagnosed with cancer yesterday only in his mid twenties

Prayers for all in need

Prayers for Tyrin. Hope for the best.

George P. Bush, our Texas Land Commissioner, is working on a plan to reclaim the entire footprint of the Alamo, not just the church. I suspect it will be easily funded mostly by private/ corporate donations.

Yes, the Alamo area is all commercialized. I hope they get some land back. It wouldn't bother me in the least to see Ripley's Believe it or Not go away.

Not sure why, but Phil Collins was an avid collector of Alamo things. IIRC, he donated them maybe 10 plus years ago.

68°F and .02 inches rain.

Got Tundra back late yesterday. Not enough change from $1400 to take wife to dinner. Runs good, no idiot lights. Refused to reimburse tow in. Will be writing letter to dealership owner letting him know his manager’s attitude cost a 30+ year customer.

Will be taking Pilot to Konaside this morning - Costco trip. Likely expensive. That will pretty much take the day, 180 miles round trip. Stop in Waimea for late lunch on way home.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
Best laid plans....

Tundra battery dead. Once 50% attempted restart presented array of idiot lights. All went out when started.
Back to dealer.
Wife has expressed vote of non confidence longterm.
Guess part of weekend will be research.

Still have to pick up glasses etc, but not breakfast and dogs miss their truck ride.

What was the $1400 for? If you don't mind me asking. I hope you get it straightened out. I hate finding electrical shorts.

My son just bought a new Gladiator Launch Edition, I’m proud of him, he fought it for eight months before giving in to the urge! LOL

Nice truck, and nice tractor. Glad you all and Drew had a nice visit.

Ron and L4N, too cold for my blood up there.

I'm burning brush this morning. Trying not to let the burn pile get too big. Weather service shows very little wind here today and tomorrow.

Rick, interesting history. Turkey is a fascinating area.

Hawkeye, hope the back keeps getting better, and the job thing goes in the right direction.

My computer team at work are saying I "have" to upgrade to Win10 from Win 7. They have started cutting me off from areas on the companies' server.

I went to Austin yesterday, on my day off, to go to the State's surplus store. They sell the stuff that the airport security team takes away from you. Namely knives, tactical pens, anything to do with bullet brass, credit card knives, etc. I bought 10 new pocket knives, to give as stocking stuffers to friends. Most were cheap, but they had different bins, with different prices. My son got a nice Victorinox Swiss knife. Many were looking for Victorinox multi tool like the below link. The expensive brands were in a glass display, and were priced at half price. Too much IMO for the situation. I guess if you really want an expensive used knife for half price, it could be a good deal. I thought that if they had small padded envelopes at the point of being searched, that you could buy and mail your knife back to your home, it would be a good thing for those not thinking.

Prayers for all in need. Picture perfect weather here after a bout of winterlike precipitation. There was 2" of rain in my gauge that hasn't been emptied in a while. Much needed.

Cold and windy as heck all day with overcast. 44 was the high but wind chills were 32-35 all day. Tomorrow is much the same with a chance of showers and slightly less wind.

Did I say that Ellen and I had a really enjoyable lunch with Drew on Friday, and Cobb Salads were great!

The wind was really cold today. Son drove me to Lowe’s to get block for the fire ring, and the wind was frigid. Got home and left them in truck, will warm up some this week. Been a watch football kind of day.

A day of limited progress re intended tasks, but more of a one off kinda day.

I actually traded the Tundra - and I never left home!
Yesterday I opened a dialog with salesman that sold it to me in 2012. He now works at Honda of other side of the island. Responsible for wife’s Pilot buy as well. So Wed afternoon he is expected to deliver a new Ridgeline RTL-E AWD and pickup the Tundra.
Our conversation yesterday I said I intended to get the scratches fixed, interior detailed etc to maximize price. I did share pics of it as is. Today he surprised me with a pretty much take or leave it offer. Told him I’d take it if he took Tundra as is. His trade offer was about $500 off from what I expected from private sale after I got the prep work done. I quickly determined $500 wasn’t worth the effort involved. Some FaceTime inside and out, questions and a few more pictures for his GM and it was agreed. He suggested and I accepted to use Honda financing 0.9% vs 3.64% from my credit union. Even did all the financing online. Just have to sign paperwork when he brings to truck.
Wife commented this may be our most time efficient vehicle purchase ever. Usually, even after agreement it takes hours. So easy to decline the extras on the phone LOL

Monday I have to transfer wife’s handicap plate as some bureaucratic change prevents dealership from doing.

Randy, I thought that might be what the emblem would say after not finding any individual numbers and the emblem for sale at mopar parts.
Emblems say "One of 4190" that is all the launch editions made each year. The number is from the area code (419) in Toledo the birth place of the Gladiator.

David I wish I could have done the entire deal of buying on the phone but I have to see what the new color looked like off computer monitor.
Now you can ice down a keg in the hidden compartment under the bed and have speakers blasting from the bed during your luaus.

Cheated, we opted for same exterior and interior as the Pilot.

Wife had also physically looked at one a couple weeks ago when she had Pilot serviced.

Not sure my Tap would fit, but I hear the speaker system is quite good.

Good evening all.35F for the start, clear sky, calm wind. Sky stayed clear, wind was light to moderate, and high temp was 62F. Good morning.

11°F and going to a high of 28. Wind ENE 13 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

A quick dump rub is in the cards, then go clean out a neighbours' driveway. After that, conserve energy.

Have a good day all

   / Good morning!!!! #102,198
Bill, stay warm today. Nice the dump is open on a Sunday, ours is too in the afternoon. I just take recycling but even with just me, that accumulates quickly.
Lot of cardboard and the plastic bubble wrap inside Amazon packages, what little they put in there...
for you, a good reason for a little drive and get out of the house I bet.

David, congrats on new Honda. You got the nicest version so get ready to learn Honda Sensing. Beep beep beep....
Not sure you'll be able to use adaptive cruise much where you live. I rode in my friend's Ridgeline two days ago and continued to be impressed by it.
If you don't do a lot of towing, or just pull a one ton trailer, the Ridgeline is the current Swiss Army knife out there, does everything well.

I was pleased with my gas mileage on the trip. Usually I'm around 26 around town but this time, at 11k miles, and no a/c use, Q5 surprised me, never saw a 3 before...
at one point when I was in a long 55mph part with lots of radar police everywhere, doing 62, it got up to 34.5mpg. Slowing down from 72-74 really helps conserve gas but if you're on a 70mph road, you go with the flow. For full time awd SUV, I was very pleased with this economy

   / Good morning!!!! #102,199
While I was sitting there, a small group of deer came browsing through, including a nice three point buck (Western count) that was so intent chasing after his ladies he didn't notice me watching. Typical teenager.

Sounds like you had more action than me, and I was hunting (opening day of gun season here). It was so windy, however, couldn't hear anything but the roar of wind in the trees, and leaves blowing off the trees.

So I gave up after a couple of hours and did some tractor 3 pt. implement shuffling so I would be better set up for firewood season, and then brought the load of rounds up to the splitter. Since I had to move the zero-turn to park an implement, I mowed a section of yard where the most leaves have accumulated, and let the strong north wind keep the dust south of me.
