Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Another work week will soon be in the bag! Weather has been phenomenal here this week. Maybe some rain tomorrow.

Hope everyone in the path of Dorian are OK.

Thoughts to everyone on the mend.

Hey Kyle, did you catch the race Monday from Springfield IL? Time gap from 1st - 10th at the finish was like .69 second. Maybe the best mile race I have ever seen.

May split firewood tomorrow....going to a race in western Ohio Sunday since I have to deliver a machine at a steel mill in MI Monday morning. May as well get my drive to the race on the expense account! Good timing. Hopefully the rider has a good day.

Everyone have a safe and good day.

Rich, yes great races. The production class is highly competitive too.
Mostly, Happy Anniversary.

Ron, I'm glad so many turned out. Sounds like a fitting tribute to a beautiful woman. Prayers .

Drew, looks like all those tall trees are doing their job of breaking the wind. Stay safe.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!

A mixed cloud/sun 46ºF for today's low temp; 58ºF presently with increasing sunshine and breezes; and I anticipate increasing clouds and breezy mid 60ºF's later with rain tonight thanks to Dorian. A decent day to mow some lawn and putter around the property.

RonJH- I am happy to read that Betty's "send off" was well attended in decent weather. The attendance a reflection of how Betty lived her life and who she "touched." May she RIP. I hope you get some beneficial seat time today.

Larro- I am happy that Dorian tracked east of you and thanks for sharing the hurricane data.

Drew- I am happy to read that your storm damage was/is manageable and please be careful with the chainsaw work. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Bruce- If I have not done so already a happy belated anniversary. I hope that you and your Wife have many more in decent health and in happiness.

Buppies- I wish that you were not so challenged. Reading your posts has led to my increased efforts at proper skin care.

Actually I wish that everyone posting here were not so challenged by their medical, physical, family, and situational concerns. Like reading Buppie's posts reading about everyone else's challenges I am slowly making better lifestyle and dietary choices. I feel incredibly lucky that my (primary) pulmonary autoimmune disease is in remission and I remain active and able to manage all the secondary side-effect BS.

Aging is not for the weak or sissies.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

65°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 88° today. We are starting to cool a bit here, too, but Summer is definitely trying to hang on for awhile. Near 90° and humid today, forecast highs of 79° for the weekend, then back into the 90s next week. The transition period roller coaster.

Happy (belated) Anniversary, Mostly.

You guys in the hurricane and post-hurricane areas stay safe.

Drew, don’t do stupid stuff and get hurt,
someone posted here that all the male deaths in Florida are men with chainsaws....

finished baking blueberry muffins, was going to deliver Hurricane Muffins to neighbors but wind and rain kicked up again, waiting for it to die down
a little. Power just came back on, out for last four hours.

now for a little bit of doing nothing
hope to get yard helper in tomorrow to help pick up this mess

73°F and .01 inches rain.

Off to Hilo town later this morning for errands, hopefully a new capacitor, swap out empty keg st brewery.

Hoping Dorian has minimal impact for those in path.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

BEF, been riding a recumbent bike since my first knee replacement. Usually 6+ mornings a week as I read TBN.

1.17 “ of rain, I can see the wind shift line just to the northwest. Flag is no longer indicative of a steady NE wind, it’s switching between NE & NW, sometimes falling slack. I think our taste of the hurricane is about over. Still getting light rain but we are out of the orange feeder band, now just light green and the edge is about 5 miles west.

It’s dropped from 72 down to 67 here, I’m cold, Ellen has all the ceiling fans on at least medium. Cleaning ladies are here so I’m trapped in the family room with both fans cranking.

I had to take the strong med last night, after PT. A lot of activity, such as PT, is really getting the nerves irritated, and is very painful, especially in my hands, stomach and back. Did good bit of walking in PT.

Was up late due to the pain and discomfort, so slept in.

I need a set of those car lifts like Ron got to get under the Elantra. It is way too low for Pilates. But I save a good $70 or so changing the subaru oil, which is normally easy, vs the lube place.

My Pilot was at another dealer when i negotiated for it between the dealer who had it, and the dealer who didnt.

62° partly sunny and breezy.

Now to catch up on the rest of GM.

Did get out a little yesterday, helped wife mix up roundup, then drove my power wheelchair as she sprayed around flower beds and fence line.

Did get gate removed from the downed fence. One gate pin lost, will need to get metal detector out.

Need someone to pull tractor out of barn, so i can get close enough to get in it. Would love to mow field, or at least around it. My neighbor did mow along his fence on my side, which i normally keep mowed down.

“I need a set of those car lifts like Ron got to get under the Elantra. “

I got a Corvette Forum email today, saying they’re on sale for $899. I think they are normally about $1400.

$899 is limited in store price at certain stores....apparently.

   / Good morning!!!! #98,739
As far as I can see, the $899 one, at Costco, is the 5000# Quick Jack. My corvette weighs just over 3300# full of fuel. I looked at their 3500# model but, it was just too close for safety reasons.

Good evening all. 71F for the start, clear sky calm wind. Sky went to partly cloudy in the afternoon, wind light all day, high temp199F HI102. Bike ride first thing in the morning, then some putter jobs in garage, chain maintenance on the Trek and mower maintenance, was going to change out drive belt. Shop sold me wrong belt so have to milk one more mowing on old belt. No nap :(
Thanks for the anniversary encouragements !!
Buckeye, I have a stand for a bike to do stationary work, have not used it since move, never liked it, and pretty much warm enough for me year round here. No stationary bike for same reason.
Drew glad you are weathering the hurricane ok.
Good to hear Randy and Buckeye continuing to improve.
Ron did you get some seat time?
prayers for all.
