Got everything done I wanted to now all clean up waiting for dinner play with kittens :confused2: good night watch no meaning movie hit pillow little earlier after bowl of ice cream.
While trimming damp area notice lot of snails,after turkeys went picking thru they had no interest eating snails.

Got the fallen split rail fence taken apart. Son did most of the work. Ended up trashing the wire that was on the fence. Several fence staples dropped, so i just went out with metal detectors and found a few. Was good PT.

No food in the house. Wife been running all day.

Afternoon all! We had a little time off from the grind today. We got invited to a pig roast and barbecue. Rain stopped and the sun came out just in time to dry things up and warm the air.
Did a little work on the snowplow before leaving, trying to get a jump on being ready.
Hectic week ahead as my wife starts a new job.
A Logger is coming on friday to fell a 50 foot tall 24 inch across tree that is starting to hollow out inside and die. I’m afraid it will crash down on my garage.
I get to remove the tree and clean up the mess.(tractor time!)
Hopefully we will all have good weather and wishing everyone heals up quickly.

Good evening all. 72F for the start, clear and calm wind. Took several hours before wind started up, stayed light all day, sky got a few clouds late and high temp 99F HI 103. Bike ride to start, wind was so low rode through some cool air in the low laying areas. Went with stepdaughter's boy friend to pick up 2 kayaks he decided to buy. 70 miles and Fort Worth traffic did get lunch (Dickies BBQ) out of the deal. Wife said she missed me today for some reason :confused3:
Bird my yard was worse because irrigation ran last night as well.
Good to hear no major problems with Dorian, prayers for swift recovery.

good morning all.
warm and sticky 72 headed up to around 90 today with afternoon showers.

going food shopping this morning, then will do a little more raking. Have about half the farm done, still areas I can't mow due to
small limbs down, lots more picking up to do. No complaints though, those tree lines did a marvelous job of protecting the buildings from high wind.

Picked okra yesterday, most of plants are down from storm, makes it harder to pick but I'll keep at it for awhile until I pull it all out.
Am about ready to clean out the whole garden and put it to bed for year.

60 high of 87 at home last day here checking things over. Very few people here beautiful weather though. Great football games yesterday college ball cannot beat it in my book

old friend from high school emailed me, invited herself, after many invites from me..., to come visit end of this month for three days.
She recently retired and is out seeing the world, good for her, seeing grandchildren here and there.
Her ex husband still lives in her community, and she still pines after him. That hasn't changed in the 20 years they've been apart.
My wife and I used to go to her family Christmas Eve parties for many years. An old good friend who I'm delighted is smiling more now.
Her Christmas tree always had these ancient large bulbs filled with liquid of some sort and they bubbled and got warm. I felt that tree more than once testing
to make sure nothing was getting hot... Lights strings with very old wiring doesn't seem like a safe thing to me.

It's September, have they put the Christmas promotions up yet?...
should be a law nothing until after Thanksgiving. The day after, the radio and tv would come alive but
used to be, wonder how many years ago now, that Bing Crosby and (spare us all) Alvin and The Chipmunks
did not show up until after Thanksgiving.

Plans for today...Take Mrs. to super market,couple hours or so bouncing on lawn mower,check game cams,watch some football and nascar,than take rest of the day as it comes.

Been nice walking around outside for an hour in 61 degrees...super quiet. Will get hotter to 85 later.

Yep, Buppies, good outcome on football games. But I didn't get to watch any. Did catch much of the Orioles baseball last night. Today is the last day of the fantasy baseball season, except for the playoffs, in which I clinched a spot.

FedEx delivered two 205/75 15 trailers tire/wheels yesterday morning...I had ordered from Northern Tool when on sale (using PayPal, which I've had good experience with). My old ones were the originals from 2002 when I bought the trailer...kept them on way too long. I mounted the new ones, torqued the nuts, filled to 50 lbs, loaded the trailer and took a 20 mile round trip test run to the county dumpsters...I realized I went to 7 different disposal spots there...used oil, paper, cardboard, bottles/cans, trash, used tires, and the giveaway shelter. Trailer and pickup bed loaded. Very convenient.

This is rainy season up here, so work has been a bit slow. We actually built this garage a few years ago, and it has been a local landmark because of the “Muskoka Siding“ (a.k.a. Tyvek). But, it is getting done now, and is going to look smashing!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 53° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 70° with mostly cloudy skies. Got 1/2 the lawn cut before visitors arrived. Should be able to get rest cut before today's visitor arrive. I see some seat time soon.

Sure am glad there was minimal damage from Dorian.

Didn't get much done yesterday as my brother from Out of state showed up and spent most of the day with him and another brother catching up. So it was a nice day
Well looks like I'll be heading to one of the Fair's today as my wife checks out the crafts I'll check out the tractor displays and tractor pull's. Then out to dinner to celebrate our 35 anniversary.
