I am prepping for the TAVR, today was first visit to satisfy some Medicare rules, and do the timed walking test, etc...
TAVR might have been what my FIL had, they went up artery. They were originally going to do open heart, but didnt because of other issues. He's doing fine.

Good morning all.
I'm a happy camper, power on, no holes in roof leaking, and while not daylight, don't see anything too terrible looking out my window.
Still quite lively out there, hurricane is right off our coast now, will dump another two inches this morning, and lots of wind, and then will be done this afternoon.
7 inches of rain so far. Front lawn not under water, no idea what end of lane looks like.
All good.
But I will keep an eye out for mermaids! ;)

Glad you weathered the storm so well

Good morning. Another work week will soon be in the bag! Weather has been phenomenal here this week. Maybe some rain tomorrow.

Hope everyone in the path of Dorian are OK.

Thoughts to everyone on the mend.

Hey Kyle, did you catch the race Monday from Springfield IL? Time gap from 1st - 10th at the finish was like .69 second. Maybe the best mile race I have ever seen.

May split firewood tomorrow....going to a race in western Ohio Sunday since I have to deliver a machine at a steel mill in MI Monday morning. May as well get my drive to the race on the expense account! Good timing. Hopefully the rider has a good day.

Everyone have a safe and good day.

Mostly.
Wish you and your bride many many more trips around the sun hand in hand.

Rich, I wonder how motorcycle racing does in the injuries per hour of racing vs other motorized sports, or downhill snow ski racing, horse jumping or ice hockey...just seems awfully dangerous to me. Am sure it must be thrilling to watch, though.
I'd want to be wrapped up like the Michelin Man, the original air bag.

Once upon a time I owned a hundred dollar Bultaco on our farm while a teenager. Knobby tires, no idea how that came and went.
Then a 50cc Harley. Really, little Italian thing. Suppose if I ever drove a decent bike I'd be hooked...

Toppop, really happy you are making good progress and have a corrective procedure in sight. Sorry life is a little harder for you now but sure makes you
appreciate what you have. Same for Buckeye who I'm sure just wants to get back to where he was. Or maybe a little better... Best wishes for a fast recovery for both of you.

heading outside to see what I can see, how far down the lane can I go before the water is over it. Not going through standing water with golf cart.
I always like to get to end of lane and look down road, couple of big pines leaning over from my property, way up there, and someday they are going to come down and
block the road totally. Hopefully not on my watch.

like a washing machine out there, maybe I'll wait for that little ride...
actually time to get the yellow slicker suit out

I'm just to the right of the N in Washington

Good morning! Up early to see if Drew caught his mermaid. Stay safe, don't risk a capture if you are going to get blown away.

Unlike Eric summer is not retreating as temps in the hundreds are predicted for the next few days. 76˚F BSR.

Had to take a Motrin at midnight after yesterdays pilates class. In the laser class we went over images but did not burn one.

The oil gets changed in the Stinger today. When I was negating the deal I had them throw in 3 years of maintenance service and got their coupon book in the mail so no pilates under the car.

Ford e-mailed, they found my truck, a saber color Ranger XLT with sport package, adaptive cruise and towing package, but I just can't get enthused about the negotiating "The Deal" when it's at some other dealers and I'm not sure on the color either as every image on the computer screen is different and ranges from orange to brown so the e-mail just reminds sitting in the inbox. I'm glad did not give them my phone number.

Don, can you do a Costco arranged deal?

well....it could have been much, much worse. Leaves, sticks everywhere, remarkably windy, out by end of road I could not stand up.
Decided it was too dangerous to be downwind of those woods, so after briefly clearing stuff off driveway, went for golf cart ride around farm, all is good
just a big stick mess. Then I went back to unclog the street drain and saw that a limb had fallen after I left exactly where I had parked the golf cart last time.
Got that cut up and decided safer to come in.
running on backup generator and backup wifi, cable is down too.

Be careful Drew. All the Florida deaths from the storm were men with chainsaws.

It's going to be another warm one. Sunny, 73F with 83% humidity now. High low of 96/69F. Not working tonight, so the pull of the camp will be strong. But a pretty early opening time at work tomorrow, so I'll try to get by with a long walk tonight. No real plan for the day. Most likely something with the chainsaw.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Had to take a Motrin at midnight after yesterdays pilates class. .

I had to take the strong med last night, after PT. A lot of activity, such as PT, is really getting the nerves irritated, and is very painful, especially in my hands, stomach and back. Did good bit of walking in PT.

Was up late due to the pain and discomfort, so slept in.

I need a set of those car lifts like Ron got to get under the Elantra. It is way too low for Pilates. But I save a good $70 or so changing the subaru oil, which is normally easy, vs the lube place.

My Pilot was at another dealer when i negotiated for it between the dealer who had it, and the dealer who didnt.

62° partly sunny and breezy.

Now to catch up on the rest of GM.

Did get out a little yesterday, helped wife mix up roundup, then drove my power wheelchair as she sprayed around flower beds and fence line.

Did get gate removed from the downed fence. One gate pin lost, will need to get metal detector out.

Need someone to pull tractor out of barn, so i can get close enough to get in it. Would love to mow field, or at least around it. My neighbor did mow along his fence on my side, which i normally keep mowed down.

72 with a heavy rain band moving in, wind is around 17-20 with higher gusts. No damage here and none expected.
Buppies, good luck on the biopsy, prayers for you and Ron and BEF,

Drew, don’t do stupid stuff and get hurt, we would all miss you. My brother in Elizabeth City has power, but it’s blinking, he’s got his generator ready.
