Good morning!!!!

Cloudy 77 degrees this morning, going for 89. For more than a week now, we've had some problems with our Spectrum cable system. My Internet service periodically goes down, then comes back after anything from 6 to 60 minutes. The TV never stayed down, but would flicker and go down for a matter of seconds. I had just thought that maybe Spectrum was working on a line somewhere and causing that. But then yesterday (Saturday) about half of our TV channels just showed "One Moment Please This Channel Should Be Available Shortly" but they were not coming up. So now, it's serious. My wife can't stand that. So yesterday I called and a nice young fellow did what checking he could and said he'd have to send a technician out here today between 8 and 9 a.m. (yep, they work on Sundays, too). A nice young fellow showed up about 8:15, and the rain (a downpour) arrived about 10 minutes later. With a little checking at the TV in the house, he got his raincoat on an checked the box on the outside of the house, then decided he was going to have to get his long ladder off the truck and go up the power pole.

So I told him that naturally, I wanted the service repaired as soon as possible, BUT that I wouldn't climb that ladder in a pouring rain and if he wanted to wait a day or two, that was fine with me. But after looking around and trying the ladder on 3 different sides of the pole, he went up there in the rain and found a loose connection he said, so he fixed it.

And about the time he got his ladder loaded, and was getting ready to leave . . . . . the rain stopped. Oh well, we needed that rain; a little over a half inch and probably about the same amount yesterday.

Buppies, congrats

I still have severe tingling in hands, finger tips hurt to touch things, like typing.

So sad the tragedies yesterday.
Even worse the factions trying to capitalize on them. When will the realize they are just feeding the problem?

95 degrees out, staying inside
Farmer, not exactly sure of number but larger Echo, I have a 450 as my go to saw, is a 600 or 660, with 24 inch bar.
Manual compression release, will take your arm off without it. Had it awhile and always runs well. I like Echos because they seem
to start more reliably for me. Like a Honda engine. But if I were to do it again, I'd be comparing weight more carefully and try to get the lightest
big saw I could. My first go to saw is a cordless Oregon with a self sharpening chain. Nice for light duty. Then graduate up to medium and heavier weight
Echo gas.

found the missing wheel the hard way. LP finish mower just chopped it up.

serviced the mower (cleaned under deck, aired up low tire, put some gas in) and mowed Saturday morning, much better results this week than last. We needed to get travel trailer out for upcoming camping trip, but had not finished the polishing we started on the front. We had done the medium cutting earlier with some polish, needed to get coat of 3M boat wax on it. Did half Saturday and finished up this afternoon.. wears me out running the DeWalt 7" polisher, but the results are worth it. Moved a bunch of stuff and moved the trailer next to house so my wife can do her thing on the inside. I need to dewinterize and service the batteries too.

Prayers for those with needs, stay safe.

Good morning. We were lucky to dodge the thunderstorms yesterday. Clouds have to end somewhere and with no rain magnets like Bird's man up a ladder, it was our turn to be on the edge that saw only a few dozen raindrops as all the wet stuff slipped past to the east.

Bups, congrats on acquiring a daughter. That must be so much easier than having to watch one grow up through their teenage years :)
