And that is why you need a tractor for every implement as you get older.
I almost do. The mower is on the massey which i usually use, but want to mow with the cab. Still too much coughing, might have to go back to DR. Was a rough night.

Beautiful morning out. Supposed to go to wedding in Gettysburg tonight, but i dont feel like it, and wife will not be happy if i dont.

Im sitting here on couch, looking out at my field which is screaming "mow me"! Birds are happily chirping.

80 degrees going for 90 today with a 20% chance of rain, mainly after 4 p.m. At least it's partly cloudy with a pretty good breeze which keeps it from feeling so hot.

...and a bigger barn to store them. It took me an hour to move implements, onto 3 pt hitch and off, to get to my grapple to clean up after the storm this week.
Lol, yea my barn has really gotten small. Course it has a lot of junk in it which needs to go to recycle.

Well it's 27° this morning and it looks like we got about 2 inches of snow overnight. Yesterday was in the low 50's partly cloudy and windy. It's supposed to clear up and be in the 50's with a chance of showers in the afternoon.

We have been in the house for 10 years and we have gotten snow almost every year in June. But not on the the second day of summer. It shouldn't last long so I'm not going to do any shoveling. This will teach me not to take the doors off the side by side tell July.

Work on a neighbor fence for a few hours yesterday and did a few little things around here yesterday. Not sure what I'll be doing today.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
CWB.

Good Morning!!!! 72F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High near 95F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Still searching for replacement plates, Eric, and now I see that there are shims at the top of the stack to adjust for variations in plate thickness. If there's too much deviation from the plates I have, I'll have to adjust the shims, and I have no more shims, either. Rebuild viscous couplers are available at about twice the cost of the splined tube that would replace the coupler, and just to keep things simpler, I may end up with the tube anyway.

Forgot to mention that on Thursday's trip to town, I dropped off a pair of stub axles at the ex-mechanic's place. It looked like he was having a garage sale, with one of his units almost empty and the other nearly so. Turns out he's closing his business and merging it with that of one of his biggest customers, the van flipper. That guy is a much better businessman, but operates a little too far on the shady side for me, so they make a good pair. I wonder when the ex was gonna tell me about the move, or was I supposed to discover it myself when I went to drop off the axles? I think it was Ron that first speculated about the fragility of the business, and he was right. Just took a little longer than we thought.

Off to Lake Tahoe for an Airhead Tech Day this morning, with breakfast up the road in Quincy. This is the fella that builds docks on the lake, and has a beautiful shop to do it in. Tonight's low up there is supposed to be 37F, nice crisp camping weather!

Have a great weekend, everyone, and I'll catch up with you on Monday morning!

Good morning to all! Low of a cool 42 this morning (at least no snow like CWB), going up to 82. Low humidity. Can't argue, can't complain.

The smoke is still lingering here in the morning, but clears out by mid day. The weather guessers say the wind will be changing direction, so we shouldn't get any more smoke blowing this way.

Quote: Eric: "LS, great sunrise pic ( I was going to ask if it was the smoke bending the sunlight, or did you buy the glazing for that window at a really good price ? Thought I better not though, as that would be too cheeky. )" -------

That was actually the smoke causing the refraction..... It's what got my attention and also that it was really red. Unfortunately the picture didn't show how red the sun was... Looked like a different planet !

BEF....avoid the temptation to get out there and do too much! Make sure you take care of yourself first!

RNG, have fun on the trip / camping....sounds like great weather for camping!

Going to do some chickens in the smoker along with some fresh corn. Going to try something different also....putting some stuffing in there also....we'll see how that works out.

Everyone have a great weekend! Prayers sent for those needing.

Good Saturday Morning. It was 80°F this morning and overcast. Our forecast is for only 91°F this afternoon and we're not on a heat advisory. There's a slight chance of rain, which we really need, but I'm not holding my breath.

I need to mow along our road and that ....... will be a cab tractor job. I mowed around the house yesterday with the ZT and it was hot. We passed 100° heat index before 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

I traveled into West Houston yesterday late afternoon for dinner with about 400 friends, all members of our annual fall trail ride in the Texas Hill Country. It was a nice get together and great excuse to get away from ranch work, in the heat.

Don .... nice work on your ceiling. Glad you've added some structure and order to maintenance of your community tractor.

Eric .... you're not at out "Royal Ascot" this week? Whuuuu? I'm shocked!

BEF .... take care of yourself ... the "work" will still be there when you heal up.

LS ... nice sunrise picture. We're getting the edge of some of the Sahara dust from Africa which "enhances" our sun rises / sun sets.

RNG ... safe travels.

Everyone have a great weekend.

Prayers to all.
