Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 42, going up to 78 again but sunny, crystal clear this morning. Trees are popping their leaves, flowers blooming... I think spring finally became official here!

Last Sunday it was official that I sold my little LS MT125 TLB and all the implements. The plan was to stay tractorless for a while until after we moved. Being that was a big 'when' and could be a long while before we actually move, we decided that I could begin to do my research for a new tractor. It was already narrowed down to Kioti and LS. It was quickly decided to go with LS, so called 4 different dealers. We are about the same distance from all of them....between 450 to 550 miles away.

One dealer didn't call me back even after calling him twice...poor business practice, he could have at least given a base price. Another dealer gave a "discounted" price straight off. Third dealer said up front he couldn't beat the discounted price. The fourth was the charm. He was the furthest away, but was the most aggressive to make a deal. A couple of days of negotiations and he came through big time! Put a package together including delivery at a price that couldn't be beat.

Not knowing at the time, but I had been dealing with one of the owners of a true "family business". I cannot say anything but praise RCO tractor down in Austin Tx. ! No frills negotiations, no pressure, great personal experience.

We got the "approval" for the financing yesterday, signed the papers, and sent our deposit yesterday. Wifey said "happy birthday"....yes it was! They will start putting it together next week and possibly delivered by the end of the week.

I stepped up a couple of sizes to an XG3025 w/ loader and backhoe, and rear remotes. I didn't think I would miss having a tractor, but now I'm like a kid...can't wait for it to get here!

Everyone have a great weekend! Prayers sent.

Congrats on the nice new tractor. Pix are pending, right?

Oh boy a new tractor coming to you from Austin. Watch out everything is weird in Austin but they do know tractors.

Congrats on the soon to be new tractor, Ted. That helps explain the avatar change, but what's the story behind the lightning bolt?:confused3:

It was one of the most "colorful" storms that we had, with frequent bolts like that. The sky was all shades of pink and purple... Really freaky at the time, so started taking pics. The lightning bolt was captured after about the twentieth try. Just thought it was a cool temporary avitar... I'm always "shocking" doing some of the things I do...

John Ryan is a great guy to deal with Ted. I drove by two other LS dealers to buy from RCO, which is a bit over 100 miles one way.

I've bought two tractors (XR4046HC and a XR4155 HC) from them and their service is excellent. You made an excellent choice of Dealers IMHO.

We're all anxious to see picture of your new tractor.

The funny thing about dealing with John was that I didn't even know he was one of the owners until near the end of our deal. He's really a straight forward guy, bent over backwards to get our deal done. When I get some implements in the near future, I'll make the road trip to go meet him in person!

Good morning. It was 59°F here this morning and clear. We expect 85°F this afternoon.

No rain in forecast until middle of next week so ....... no excuse not to get a lot done this weekend.

Found some big ruts, I'd forgotten about, in the horse pasture where I pushed down a huge dead tree last fall when it was pretty wet. I hit two ruts, on our Polaris Ranger, at a 90° angle in tall grass and ..... nearly got bucked off. . They will be filled in and leveled out before the sun goes down.

Our local catfish fry / shrimp boil is this evening at our VFD so I get off work early today. . For admission, we're collecting non-perishable food items to benefit the Columbus Food Bank.

Happy anniversary tomorrow Mr. Bird!

Everyone have a great weekend.

Prayers to all.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A rainy, foggy, misty 39ºF morning low temp; a windy 42ºF presently with the sun making a brief appearance. I do not expect the temperature getting much warmer this PM. A wet weekend is anticipated with maybe a few intermittent snow showers today/tomorrow. I was able to deal with the Tundra’s tires during a non rain/snow/graupel shower period before today’s Dump Run.

Wifey and I joined the Air Frying Nation yesterday. She bought a Dash 6 Quart 1700W air fryer at BJ’s. I broke it in with some AF’d brussel sprouts last night. They came out as expected.:) The owner’s manual/cookbook had no vegetable recipes other than frenchfries nor temp & cooking vegetable guide .

Bill- I am sorry to read about your bed. Good luck dealing with the sales department.

Bird- Congratulations on your pending anniversary. I wish you and your Wife many more in health and happiness.

MA and CT have been in the tobacco industry since the “beginning.” This area used to sell a lot of its leaves to Cuba for the outer leaves used to wrap the cigars.

Big Business and Big $ is already investing in the developing marijuana industry.

RNG- It reads like slowly ever so slowly you are finding and correcting all your electrical gremlins. I hope your campout goes as anticipated.

Ted- Congratulations on the pending tractor acquisition. I look forward to some pictures of your new tractor.

Rick- I hope you have a good time tonight at the VFD supper.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable weekend.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

60° windy,, and beautiful blue skies.

Had church mens group breakfast this morning. Next to us were the Lions club ladies breakfast, so a noisy gathering.
On way home picked up some RV cleaner, 3 cans of gas, 1 can of diesel, then got oil and filter from kubota shop.

Just got done washing exterior of the camper. What a job. Sides not bad, but moss was growing on the front, which faces north. Took a lot of work. One side i hand washed with the magic RV cleaner, the other side with a soft brush with water handle. Think it worked as well, and quicker. The front was a bucket of hot water, soap, stiffer brush, and even a putty knife to scrape the moss off. Turned out well. Need to apply more caulk on top seam, still of but showing signs of cracking starting.
Im wore out and hungry.

LS, congrats on new tractor.

Happy Anniversary Bird!!!!

Ted, happy birthday and happy new tractor.

Thomas, Happy birthday.

Bird, happy anniversary.

Eric gets to eat better during the storm. I'm glad his wifey is better.

Thanks all for your support. I am better, but still taking 500mg Tylenol every 4 hours. Finally got to take a shower. Felt so good I took the kids for a gator ride. The new gator has power steering and awesome smooth suspension. Night and day nicer than the 2002 model. Hope I'm good enough to go to work on Monday.

The catfish fry / shrimp boil .... was excellent. It was put on, at our local VFD Hall, by our local Wildlife Management Special Interest Group. Really good turnout and we collected a lot for the Columbus Food Pantry.
