Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.

Storms just passed. I missed a tornado in Bryan Texas by minutes. It went very near my boss' house. Drove through a wall of rain for about 30 minutes. Glad to have made it home safely.

Plumber has been here and gone. New tankless, Takagi propane water heater installed. So how does that relate to my propane line problem? After diagnosing the problem last week, he wanted to get me back functional, the main house is on own h/w, that low pressure line fed by the bad high pressure line. For some silly reason, after disconnecting the lp line from the hp line, he decided that he would hook the 40lb propane bottle directly to the Takagi on other side of the building, thinking there may also be a problem in that line. I mumbled something about regulator and he mumbled back - apparently neither of us understanding the other. After directly hooking the Takagi to the propane bottle, he instructed me to try the water. Turning on the faucet resulted in almost immediate POP with flames shooting out the front on the heater. I immediately threw the electric breaker. Apparently the Takagi did NOT like propane fed directly without going through a low pressure regulator. We both knew immediately what happened and he started apologizing profusely and said he would replace the unit as it was his fault. Yes, I did mention that was what my earlier mumbling was about as the only low pressure regulator on that line was the one at our feet at the time. Sadly, this unit was just barely 2 years old. I feel a bit bad as there is no way this job will pay for the replacement, hope it’s covered his insurance or something. Hope he got a good price from his wholesaler, but I suspect still close to $500.

We did get a game plan on the line replacement. Had never heard about using old line to pull in new but said he’d check around. Otherwise, I have Orings for my backhoe at the PO and hope to get my backhoe valve back functional by early week. Would love to do sooner, but am committed to hosting our retired military luncheon on Sat (30 folks) and a neighborhood potluck on Sunday (50-60 people). A busy weekend, preceded by prep Thu and Fri. Spaghetti and meatballs plus.

Those look interesting. Haven’t found my fryer to be difficult to clean, but...

Yep, pretty easy to clean but, if you're cooking steaks, pork chops, chicken, you can finish them, yank out the paper and cook your potato's or whatever without all the residue from the meat. More of a presentation thing. Does help with cleaning though.

I just got 100 of them, for our Power Fryer XL, for under $5 and Amazon Prime.

The weather has at last returned to normal, a stiff breeze bringing over cool April showers. I don't mind the change at all, except it has coincided with the zips breaking on two of my newest jackets. One of them my wife says she can replace. The other not so easy, which is a pity as it is otherwise a really nice Gortex waterproof, a real shame the manufacturer skimped on the zip. My daughter said she will take it to a place near where she lives called the "Zipyard" and see what they can do.

Hope all goes well for those making unwanted but necessary trips to hospitals.

Wng, don't you find it's the sheer unpredictability that makes hunting and fishing so enjoyable ? The attention seeking coyote was just doing it's best to add to that random uncertainty :)

90 degrees today, definitely a shorts day.
Good morning all.
food shopping first, then some car washing, then a slower day today.
Have a power point pic presentation to give tonight on last year's charity garden
for the food pantry volunteer dinner tonight, so need to save up energy for a night out.

Kyle, hope today goes well.

Good morning. Raining now, dry the rest of day, then the rain returns tonight into tomorrow. 48 now, about 65 later.

Hope all goes well for Birds daughter and Kyle痴 surgery.

Mowed some of the yard with the New Holland last night for the first time this year. Been using the old Craftsman GT. They both have their place in this yard......

Looks like a steel mill visit next week. Someone put the brakes on a 4 machine order over a very tired 11 year old machine. So some how, I need to use a magic wand to make things better....

Better get moving, need another cup of coffee......

Everyone have a safe and good day

28 °F and going to a high of 57. Wind ESE 8 mph. 40% chance of showers.

2/3 of my new bed came yesterday, the other third will/should be arriving today. I will put it all together tomorrow.
I did the dump run yesterday, so today I only have a town run and a trip to the hardware store.
The sump pump that I have had in the hole doing its' thing for the past 5 years finally crapped out yesterday evening. It is a really good thing I keep a spare pump still in the box on the shelf. That is why I am going to the hardware store, to get me a replacement pump.
I also need a new 1/2" drive breaker bar, a 3/4" socket (preferably a deep one) and a 6" extension. They will all stay in the Dodge, just in case I need to change a flat. It is better to have it and not need it as opposed to needing it and not having it. I don't have CAA (AAA in the 'states) so I can forget calling them for towing/flat changing.

Kyle, I will be watching for an update on the surgery.

That is 'it' for today.

Have a good day all

Ah ..... another convert to Air Frying.

Here痴 something to make your cleanup ..... even easier

I ordered a set of these, thanks Rick. Also ordered the accessory kit with the holders made for that size unit, like the one with three horizontal
stainless skewers for making ka bobs out of veggies and meat. Will pick up some green peppers today and try them out in there.
Am hoping I can make okra edible in there also, no slime,
all crunch, all high fiber, low cal, some kind of not too spicy unsalted topping.

The air fryer came in three boxes, inner, outer and then Amazon.
Inner two boxes very substantial, and no broken white foam bits on the kitchen floor.
Takes a lot of packaging to get here in one nice piece from the other side of the world.
Lot of these models look very similar, probably work the same too. Mine has a veggie button, a chicken button
and a french fry button. And about ten more I think; of course you can add or subtract from menu presets.
Sure nailed the marinated chicken at 28 minutes.

I always wonder when new cooking appliances will go up in short circuited flames on the first use.
Made sure I was close to kitchen while fryer was working. And fryer was under operating hood vent.
Combo was pretty noisy.
It's air, not grease, so can't be all that dangerous, right?

Bird, Prayers for your daugher. Is this your daughter who put together your big birthday party years ago?

Yes, that's the one, Kyle, 9 years ago. And my old memory is fading, but didn't you give me the Audubon clock I have on the wall over the TV in the living room? It still keeps good time and a different bird sings a bit on the hour every hour.

And we'll be praying for you and your surgery this morning, too.

Poured first cup of coffee. 46° with light rain this morning. Heading to 61° with cloudy skies this morning. Moved a small tree yesterday that was planted to close to house. Hope it survives the move. First lawn cutting of the year after lawn dries. Run new tires and rims for lawnmower over to tire dealer to get them mounted.

Bird, prayers for your daughter.

Kyle ,prayers for a good outcome and recovery from your surgery.

Drew, meal looks good. Keep the pictures coming..

David, sure hope your LP problems get fixed without anymore problems.

Thomas, all I get is a couple of stray turkeys everyday and now 2 raccoons. I have no idea what either are finding. No food out there for a week.

Looking, didn't your car come with any tire tools.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

We need pics of someone's very shiny new wheels, we need pics of more lambs, always....
we need pics of a Monte Carlo with a nice ribbon on it, we need pics of the insides of tube amplifiers (oh boy)
and maybe a little close up of a cute little chicken, long before he knows he will wind up on my plate.
Fatten up buddy, no scrawny legs on my plate!

And a tip of the hat to Ed, hoping he is happy and content.
And making nice long curls of cut off metal on his lathe.
While Larro is contemplating his navel and the world in general in his camp by the stream.
Not sure how he handles those big bugs. I mean there are big bugs in Florida...some of those walkers
could have a harness put on them to haul stuff around for you. Like putting your gekkos to work...bet some of those gigantic
bugs come and visit David on his Hawaiian mountain top. A hungry bird's delicious meal.

A bug in bed is bad.
Wives scream and flail.
Nothing better than a big hairy spider in bed with you.
That feel of something walking over your face, so you brush it off, right
onto your spouse.
Mine go down the toilet with several flushings.

do certain types of dogs or cats eat more bugs than usual? Do they find them snacks?
I've seen cats toy with bugs but not eat them.
Probably a good bug bad bug decision making process trying to wean out those little bugs,
many of them yellow, that sting one's big tongue.
so I guess it gets down to friend or foe/ edible or not edible.

taking my kale down to the food pantry and then food shopping.
Back to wash car. Nice easy morning.
And relatively, going to be a hot one.
