67 headed for 75, big rain coming Friday. Need to get my mower out again and now trimmer (Ellen) is out of commission, I have to do that. I’m going to have to pay to get. Y blades changed because I can’t do it with my shoulder like it is.

Ellen got her splint off and replaced with a big old cast. 4 weeks of that.

Going to visit mom today, I hope she’s alert today.

Happy birthday Mrs JB!
Have a good day guys, prayers for the ailments.

Good morning to all! Low this morning was 38, going up to 70 and sunny! Yesterday it started raining at about 8:30 am. It didn't stop until 5:30pm... WOW! Nice steady rain all day. I checked the rain gauge and was pleasantly surprised to see exactly 2 inches of rain. We really needed it, and the plants even more so.

Didn't venture out to the shop yesterday due to the rain, so today will entail finishing up on scraping out the rest of the mower deck and sharpening the blades. I will need to finish cutting, especially since all the rain.

Jay, good luck at PT today! I hope you graduate to the next level!

Got to get moving....
Everyone have a great day! Prayers out for all!

61 degrees this morning, going for a high of 70. I just went out and dumped about 2.9" of rain out of the gauge. And I swept the water off the deck. The rain is forecast to continue off and on for the next 24 hours.

I hope it is over before 10 a.m. tomorrow because I have to go to the north edge of Ft. Worth to get our younger daughter and take her to the UT Southwestern Medical School Hospital in Dallas. I guess I'm always a bit reluctant to post personal information on the Internet, especially when I don't really have enough facts, but we'd appreciate everyone's prayers for our daughter. She made the mistake of having weight reduction surgery several years ago. And it appeared to be successful for a few years. However, she's been in near continuous pain now for at least 5 years. She's been to many doctors and many tests, losing weight, cannot keep anything down that she eats. The doctors have concluded that her stomach is only capable of holding less than one cup and that she's soon going to die without an artificial feeding tube. They installed one earlier this month but it got clogged up and had to be removed. She's to get another one installed tomorrow. She turned 50 years old 2 months ago. To make matters even worse, 6 years ago she adopted a little girl who will now be 14 later this year.

Don, I envy your wife. When we lived in Marlow, OK, I took a year of Spanish in my sophomore year. You had to take 2 years of Spanish for 2 credits, but you got zero credit for one year. So I got one year, then we moved to Marietta and that school did not offer Spanish, so I never got the second year. But the year I got in Marlow was most enjoyable; just me and 6 girls in the class. And I still remember that my text book title was El Camino Real.

Were you able to look into the drive shaft dampers?

It was 27° this morning and partly cloudy. Yesterday was in the mid 60's and mostly sunny. Today is going to be about as nice but with more wind 15-25 mph.

Happy Birthday to Mrs Jay

toppop... Hope Ellen dose well with the cast and gets better soon.

Not sure what the day will bring. Looked at the fence yesterday and I need to replace some poles but that's going to have to wait tell the snow is gone. I got time they don't turn the cows until later in the summer.

Hope everyone has a good hump day.
CWB.

Bird- I am sorry to read about your daughter. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your daughter and the rest of the family.

Has anyone here ever used an inner tube instead of replacing the 20X10.0-8 rear tires on a rider mower?

Yes, I’ve patched any bad places inside the tire and put tubes in them. I had huge thorns when I first moved here and they were hard on tires. It was easier to patch tubes.

Good Morning. It was 68°F this morning and overcast. Forecast is for 77°F this afternoon with rains coming by lunch time. We really need the rain now. Looks like Don and Kyle are getting rain now. Hoping they save a bit for me. We got 1 1/4" last week then several days of high winds that just dried everything up again. We need a good soaking rain.

I need to fix some ruts, in our horse pasture, made while pushing down a dead tree back in March. I hit these deep ruts, in deep grass, with the Polaris Ranger a few days ago and was reminded that I'd failed to level them earlier.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's health difficulties Mr. Bird. Hope the docs can resolve her problems.

Hoping everyone has a great "hump day" today.

Prayers to all.

56° and rain this morning, going up to 67° with the rain sticking around most of the day.

Wife let the ducks out into the lake for the first time yesterday. They loved it, of course. I was skeptical that she'd be able to get them back out and into the pen, but she walked up to the lake and shook the food bucket, and out they came. We rounded them up and into the pen in just a few minutes. Guess she's expanding from just dog training.

Wishing the best for your daughter, Bird.

Mostly, I'm a peon in a small pond that just got absorbed by a large lake. If i get drug down to dallas, it will be on my own, lol. I try to lay low, do my job, and let the shots pass over my head.

But, have thought of visiting TX on one of my AR trips, but never managed, except by flying thru dallas once.

Has anyone here ever used an inner tube instead of replacing the 20X10.0-8 rear tires on a rider mower?

Yes, I got too close to my storage building and the metal on that building cut into a rear tire on the mower, just enough to make a small, slow leak and I was surprised when Brisco Alignment & Tire in Denton had the right tube to fit it.

Were you able to look into the drive shaft dampers?

I removed the drive shaft, went for a drive, and the vibrations remained.

Yesterday I swapped wheels front with back, still vibrates.

Checked runout on the wheels, +- 0.020", which seems good to me.

Pulled back the boots on the CV joints, and learned that the make/model of the inner CVs is for some reason different than those on the outside, but from what I've been able to read, it shouldn't matter. I'll probably end up replacing them anyway, just to eliminate that as a possible cause.

I have them on my older 20X10.0-8 tires. Have not had a flat since installing. I bought inner tubes for the new tires just in case they are needed. Need to make sure you get tubes with valve stem in correct position.

Good morning all,

A little late posting but it was 48 this morning and mostly clear skies. Now that it is warmer my wife and I have started walking every morning. Got to get rid of some of the ice cream winter fat I've been storing up.

Yours is FWD primary/AWD? Check the flexplate and torque converter for missing weights or loose fasteners. Output and input shaft on transmission and transfer case for true.
Does the vibration seem road speed or engine speed related?
