The SUV quest has taken a turn. I rank the SUV 1. Mazda, 2. Kia, 3. Toyota, and my wife ranks them 1. Toyota, 2. Kia 3. Mazda. It's her car that I will drive a lot so we re-visited Toyota.

Since you'll be getting a Toyota, Don:laughing:, why not order what you want and do away with what you don't? It'll take a little longer, but you don't seem to be in any hurry, and since you seem to keep your cars a long time, you and especially the wife will be happier. And isn't that what's really important, in the happy-wife-happy-life spirit?

65 degrees for a low this morning, going for a high of 74 with an 80% chance of rain in the forecast. And sure enough, thunder, just a little lightning, and a brief windy spell came just before the rain that started before 10 a.m. The radar makes it appear that it's nearly over about noon and we've gotten just about a half inch of rain. I'd call that just about right for what our lawns needed.

Since you'll be getting a Toyota, Don:laughing:,

I’m trying to prepare mentally.

If they only made a Mazota, combining the best of each.

Constant rain today, all the browns of winter will vanish in a few days as the new green grass hides the dead winter vegetation.

If I could be anywhere it would be making trails in the new section with the new tractor I didn’t win. Like Eric said you can’t beat playing on your tractor that you didn’t have to buy or maintain.

If today was a day you could pick anything in the world you wanted to do what would that be?

Personally I would take the UTV and go to the mountains of WVA to ride the trails

I would have my Father here for the day. He passed 11 years ago today. I can’t tell you how many times I catch myself thinking “I’ll be sure to tell Dad that the next time I see him “ even after 11 years!

That's a big If Only, Don.:(

Sadly, the best we can hope for is a vehicle that doesn't need trips to the dealer. I was very happy in that regard with the two Toyotas I've had, an '88 4x4 extra cab and a '99 4Runner. The '88 only went to the dealer once after purchase, and that was after 99,000 miles when I found out there was an extended service campaign on the V6 engine. They replaced one head, did a valve job on the other, and replaced head gaskets on both sides, which was the reason for the recall. All free. The service department at that dealership was so nice about it I purchased the 4Runner there, but the sales department was even worse than what Ted is dealing with. At first they couldn't even deliver a clear title for the vehicle because it had been sold as new when it actually had close to 10,000 miles on it. Then they tried to flake out on all the repairs it needed, and after six weeks I was in the owner's office demanding a refund or I'd be writing to every customer complaint agency in the state, and the Attorney General as well. That left me with a sour taste for that vehicle, and I was glad to get rid of it ten years later. Not sure I'd buy a Toyota today, especially after how they treated my mom's boyfriend with the frame rail corrosion problem on his Tacoma. That's a corporate culture issue, not standing behind the bad design that led to the problem in the first place, a change that seems to have crept in sometime during the late '90s.

I don't envy anyone having to shop for a new vehicle these days. Which is why I keep putting money and time in my old stuff; for me it's just easier to live with it that way.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going up to 67. A little breezy this morning, hopefully calming by this afternoon.

David, nice flail! Sounds like you got some good customer service w/o any hassle. Seems to be rare these days.

Randy, enjoy the show and the whole day!

Drew, I won't be towing anywhere near the capacity, but it is merely principle. ALL of the Nissan hitches are class IV. Every last one of them on the lot. Any mention of the hitches in the owners manual, towing manual, accessories brochures, and on-line all state "class IV". Better to be way under capacity, than pushing towards the limits. Then the mere principle that they messed up the brake controller and the wiring. (Supposed to have ALL repaired / replaced this morning)

RNG, That's one of the first things I said to them..."OK, get my Jeep back, deal is over, I 'll go elsewhere". Of course that "wasn't possible"..... So they are going to install genuine Nissan parts.... My suspicion is that they are going are going to strip out another truck on the lot to get the Nissan parts.

I've got to get going... Don't want to be late for the appointment! I'll let everyone know the outcome.

Have a great day! Prayers out for all

Sorry about your run around...

Out of curiosity, I googled Frontier towing capacity. I'm impressed.

The 2019 Nissan Frontier comes standard with a strong and efficient 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that offers a solid 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. Or, for those that want a little more power, there痴 the 4.0-liter DOHC V6 that offers an impressive 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque!

But, it痴 not just about raw power, it痴 about what you can do with it! The 2019 Nissan Frontier doesn稚 waste an ounce of energy, and thanks to its fully boxed ladder frame and engineering, it can tow a capacity of up to 6,720 pounds when properly equipped! There痴 not much the 2019 Nissan Frontier can稚 handle!

65ーF and no rain.

Expect to be flailing around a bit today.

Prayers for all

Have a great day

Is flailing akin to floundering? (I realize you have a new mower, have fun, be careful).

CWB, I've been meaning to ask you about when will all that snow melt? The snow that actually gets sunlight that is.

Daughter just made some Jimmy Dean's Natural sausage, with our home grown eggs, refried beans, and Cholula's red sauce. Yum. The dog won't quit begging...

It was supposed to storm and rain, but it looks like Don is getting the majority of it. We've got about .15" so far. I would love a slow 2"....

Welcome JMK! Hope you enjoy that new tractor. Be careful with it until you develop your comfort factor operating it.

Hope to get my gall bladder surgery scheduled next week.

Hope all of you have a great day. Prayers.
