Got home from work about 6:15, taught oldest daughter how to weed eat around the house. Not too bad of a job for her first try. She "wore" out about 20 minutes.

I got the pressure washer out and knocked the dust off of 2 vehicles. need to do the SUV.

My middle daughter has strep and upset stomach, now my youngest son is showing symptoms... Ugh...

Wife and I get to go to middle daugher's psychology team and get their recommendations tomorrow. In Austin. Ugh.

The oak pollen is leaving a yellow film on everything.

Randy, looks good.

Good evening all. 58F for the start, overcast, .2 inch in the rain gauge, overcast and fog. Sky and fog cleared out about noon, wind kicked up later in afternoon, and high temp was 76F. Stayed wet outside till after 12PM, had to go retrieve golf cart from shop for stepdaughter, bike ride, and dog walk.
Drew, my wife had poison ivy so bad they gave her Prednisone. She could not sleep well and walked around with a smile and looking for something to do. She swore she will not take Prednisone again.
Don good luck finding the car you want, you'd think it would be fun :confused2:
Buckeye always hate to hear about a barn fire.
Kyle good luck with the phyc team, may your daughter do better as a result of your meeting.
prayers for all.

Barn fires suck. With animals in they suck big time.

mostly_gas; She could not sleep well and walked around with a smile and looking for something to do. She swore she will not take Prednisone again.

Did she wear herself out? Or doesn't she like smiling? :D

Day not quite as expected
Freight company didn’t call to confirm pickup until 1030, too late for today

Teeth cleaned, two appointments made. A cavity that showed up on xray, begin work on crown for broken tooth. Shouldn’t complain I guess as that filling is circa 1980 and a large one by Army dentist at Schofield Barracks.

After a chilling day of rain yesterday I'm hoping the forecast comes good and it dries up today. Cold, wet and windy are about the worst conditions for lambs, so I was really pleased to see there were no casualties when I did my rounds this morning.

I once had a similar dilemma to Drew over choosing a German car. That was back in the 70's, when our first ever car was to be a VW Golf. My only reservation about buying a car designed and built in Germany was how my dad would take it. I shouldn't have hesitated, he didn't mind at all, his only unvoiced concern was our choice of colour - "Gelb" (In English, that translated to yellow - trendy at the time, those were the days :))

Last week our son told us he was getting a new car - a VW Golf.
In Yellow ? Nope, history not repeating that far, his taste is for blue.

Eric; I had rented a VW Pissant two years ago and I found I had a devil of a time getting into and out of it. My back doesn't bend the way it did when I was in my 20s. I smashed the side of my head on the roof so many times that sometimes I think I am still a little 'dotty' from that experience. Remember I was 6'4" tall and weigh 275 lbs/19.64 stone.

8 above and going to a high of 36 °F. Wind SE 6 mph. Periods of snow or rain.

Off today to the Dodge dealer to get a wax job. No, NOT a Gene Tracey wax job. :D
Chrysler has this 'paint protector' polish they put on vehicles and they are supposed to be re-coated every three years. It worked good on the Jeep. I could come out of the mud pits covered in mud and one go around with the power wash at the coin wash ($3.oo) rinse only and she was sparkling again. The Journey is black, so it will show every speck of dirt. That will take about an hour or so.

Then off to the hardware store to get a new heavy duty extension cord, a minimum of 10 gauge if I can locate one. If I have to settle for 12 gauge I will, but I will not be happy about it. A laptop and a L.E.D. lamp are running on an air conditioner cord. I don't know what gauge the wire is in the cord.

Have a great Friday all
