Good morning all,

34 this morning with a few clouds, no wind.

Congrats BEF, we must be close in age. My wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary last September.

Started some cleanup around our house yesterday. (construction debris) It's still very muddy and snow/ice still abundant. Need to wait a few more weeks but I couldn't convince my wife of that.:confused3:

Prayers for those in need, have a nice day.

Eric, never been to Ireland or Wales, but would love to visit. My dads family came from Ireland around 1800. Moms family came from Portadown Ireland.
My son wants to ride some of the old trains in wales.
33 yrs ago i was offered a job in england. I had done several projects there and knew the local place fairly well. But i turned it down because i was engaged to marry a pretty young girl..

It's 27° this morning and overcast. Yesterday was in the low 40's and partly cloudy. Today is going to be in the upper 40's and partly cloudy with a light breeze.

The snow is starting to melt but it will be quite awhile be for it's all gone. Still have snow banks 5 feet tall on some of the driveway

BEF ... Happy Anniversary to you and your wife.

We are making the weekly trip to town this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day.
CWB.

Thomas, slowly cutting back on critter feeding. I have about 50 lbs of corn and about the same in bird seed.
…………………
About 3rd week April I'll start weening feeding deer not unless weather warms up tree buds are out and green grass.

60 degrees this morning going for a high of 80, with fog and mist early, sun now coming out. The forecast yesterday was a 50% chance of rain between 8 p.m. last night and 8 a.m. this morning. Sure enough, between 6 and 8 a.m. this morning, I got about .01" in my gauge, although the NWS shows .03" at the airport. I mowed the yard yesterday, even though it hardly needed it, in preparation for it to get watered last night.

Good morning to all! Low went to a mere 35, going up to 68. Sunny with some high cirrus clouds.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MR AND MRS BEF !

the dealership called yesterday afternoon ....said the truck wouldn't be done as they initially thought. Asked me if I could wait until later this morning. The reason being was that they wanted to install my brake controller when they did the trailer hitch. This wasn't in the initial plan, but why would I say no to them doing it... Saves me some work and frustration tying it into Nissan's wiring system. Especially since it would be free. This dealership is customer focused, based on satisfied customers. This is the 3rd vehicle purchased from them.

Drew, sounds like the garden is off to a great start. I bet the food pantry was surprised that they were getting stuff so early in the season.

Randy, enjoy the car show!

RNG, after hearing about you getting the steel pallets from the Kubota dealer, I called the one and only Kubota dealer here about possibly getting some...no way. He wouldn't tell me what they do with them, but said they wouldn't even sell them to me. Weird. They must have some kind of other deal set up for them.

CWB and Cat, hope your weather breaks soon and the snow continues to melt off. We have been in that "can't decide" mode of weather... Snow one day, then 70 degrees the next...

I'm having internet issues... Lost two posts already, this one giving me trouble.... So I'm cutting it short...

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A windy, sunny 29ºF to start the day, a sunny 36ºF presently and still breezy; low to mid 40ºF’s anticipated later. It was a windy night; not conducive for sleep. Not much on the agenda today other than the bird count (over tomorrow) and supporting our friends later.

Up wide awake at 3am thanks to meds, can you tell? warned about that. Like I've had lots of coffee which I haven't.
Though the mug is now empty. And likely it's "all in my head", in all ways, but I think the prednisone is helping my ear.
Cautiously optimistic.

I've been wondering if this med will also help my puffy hands, swollen from too much gardening. But I genuinely
feel better, after planting five trees yesterday by hand, I'm ready to go. In some ways I'm suspicious that if it works this well,
it must be seriously bad for me long term.- Drew

Prednisone is definitely a strong stimulant, it is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication with equally powerful side effects; especially with long term use. It saved my life at the cost of long term side effects. It took me 3 years to taper dosing down until I was finally weaned. The doctors told me that I would need Prednisone forever. Thankfully they were wrong. I advise caution taking Prednisone. It “works” too well.

Billy and Buppies- Thanks. A little more tree cutting on my part and I will have a decent tractor path to access the lower field. It will take a while. The toothbar is going on the FEL as soon as I can safely handle the task. Billy- I am happy to read about your parents moving into an assisted living situation.

RonJH- I am sorry to read about your Mom. The secure Alzheimers’ Unit that I managed was part of an Assisted Living facility.

Eric- Thanks for sharing. A couple of years ago a male swan (cob?) attacked a guy in a kayak and ended up drowning him. Sadly the kayaker was going out to check on the swans’ nest.

BEF- Happy Anniversary and Congratulations. I wish you and your Wife many more happy and healthy years together.

Thomas- Good luck with the doctor.

Roy- Have a safe drive home. I hate the I91 traffic/traffic pattern around Springfield. The civil engineers who designed the highway must have been disciples of Timothy Leary and/or highly intoxiicated during the design phase.

RNG- You are right about the water. That whole area remains wet nearly all year. Those shrubs around the propane tank are forsythias and the rest of those shrubs are fruit bearing bird attractors. I hope that by opening the area it will dry out somewhat. Thanks I can babble with the best of them be it meteo, psycho, or schizophrenese.

What’s the old saying - “If one can not impress someone with intelligence; snow them with BS.”

One day I was sitting in the nursing station logging progress notes with the psychiatrist when one of my (favorite) homicidal patients entered and started her “talk”. I was able to understand her gibberish:cool: and responded in kind. The psychiatrist (who feared this patient) became visibly upset  and took a sick day.

Kyle- Good luck with your daughter and also getting a competent doctor.

I hope everyone has a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, ad prayers.

It was 70°F this morning and forecast says 83°F this afternoon. We had a nice rain around day break and got almost 1/4”. Forecast is for more rain this weekend.

Sun is out now and will be a “Chamber of Commerce” day.

Plan for today is more driveway and road grading.

I need to add a bit more of the free limestone fill I got, to the road from my shop to the horse barn.

IMG_0507.jpg

If there’s any more time, this afternoon, some more pasture cutting.

Hope everyone has an excellent “Friday Eve”.

Prayers to all.
