Coffee is done brewing. 35° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 50° with sun and a good breeze out of the west. Cleaning lady could not make it yesterday. Coming today. So I started cleaning around garden pond. Slipped on rocks and landed on my right side. Kind of sore this morning. So I will be conserving energy.

Temperatures in master bedroom/bath are with 2° of house temperature setting. Big improvement over the 6° that we had before. Sealing the ducts sends most of the previous lost heat to those 2 rooms.

Drew, great picture of Joe. All the work you are doing in garden is paying off big time.

Eric, glad you had a good vacation.
The vents were blocked/taped off so the only place that air/sealer can leak out is holes in system. That part of job took the most work. Took about 45 minutes each to seal heat and return ducts.

Randy, good pals.

David, nice cabinets. When I did mine I made a assembly of the slides using 2x4's and 2x2's. Mounted the assembly on cabinet floor. Did similar with top slides off side wall. Then slid the shelves in on the assemblies. Put screws in to 2x2 from bottom and side of shelves. Wife kept it full of canned goods. Still was working good after 90k miles of driving down the road. I stole the design from similar setup on cabinets on display a Lowes.

Jay, like the tree trimming picture.

Roy, wake up. :D

Good Morning All.

When I had my knee replaced the ortho doc prescribed a CPM Continuous Passive Motion machine,
laid on my back with my ankle and calve strapped in and the machine flexed your knee for you,
just kept dialing up the % of bend.

Yep, when I had my right knee replaced, my doctor prescribed the same CPM. Now the nurses said I dialed it up more and faster than they'd ever seen done by anyone. Now of course I don't know whether they were telling the truth, or whether they say that to everyone just to encourage the patient. And later I learned that another orthopedic doctor in the same office never prescribes that machine.:confused3: It sure seemed like a good idea to me, but I don't know why another doctor considers it a waste of time.

Pantry cabinet back functional - FINALLY!!!!

So, 9 days on a project I was allotting 4 days ☹️

Sounds like me.

Remember that nice old man on the cruise who said he would be my mentor in the wood shop. Well, I stopped by the woodshed to check that the safety class was still on for this week and he was at the reception desk. He did not remember who I was. Yikes, I might need to find someone younger.

Sounds like me. :)

Welcome back Eric. Hope you had a nice stay. I believe more and more tourists are choosing countries that they feel might be safer than others.

Ron, glad your vents seem to work better now.

40°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 64° today. Expecting rain tomorrow, which is probably not what local Cardinals fans were hoping for the home opener.

Looks like a fantastic place for a vacation, Eric.

Quality stuff is rarely exciting, Roy. Necessary, but rarely exciting. We didn't exactly pick a glamorous line of work, did we?

Good morning! 55˚F heading to the high 60s cloudy 50% chance of rain. Looks like this is the coolest day for the next 10 days as the afternoon temps will be in the 80s.
Everyone in the wood shop wears an apron. I guess I'll find out why tomorrow when I finally have my first safety class.

Looked at the new 2019 Rav4 yesterday. I still can't figure out how they get the birds-eye-view to come up on the dash monitor. I think they send up a little drone. They also have an electronic rear view mirror from a second rear camera located higher than the back-up camera with magically appears in the rear view mirror giving a 180˚ view while driving OR backing up, or with the flip of the switch the rear view mirror turns into a regular mirror.

I cannot hear the warning beeps of the new safety devices too high of a frequency. I wish the tone could be changed. I bet RNG could do it.

Bells and whistles, got to love them!

The Costco auto program allows $1,200 of MSRP base plus 15% off extras no bickering/negotiation. I might go by another dealer to see if I can do better but they have so few on the lot probably now is not the time to buy.

Up to 50 after a low of 36, heading to around 70. Watching Perry Mason but getting ready to get busy, got a lot to do over the next couple of days. Service the mower, fill the gas cans, detail the Monte Carlo for the car show, go visit mom. That’s just before lunch! :D

Have a good day guys!

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 6:30AM. Cloudy skies. High 66F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

A slow moving cell passed just north of here yesterday evening, bringing heavy rain, thunder/lightning, a tornado warning, and flooding as it passed over Chico. Friends had to rescue their daughter from her flooded ballet studio, lots of businesses drowned out in the downtown area, and students evacuated from their dorms. Big mess down there, but not a drop here.

Hope by this time next year, Jay, you're up and dancing around on that bum knee of yours. HBD!

Mind sharing the make of the drawer slides you ended up using, David? And the bad ones, too, as I'd like to steer clear of them.

Got one carb cleaned, but only partially reassembled since a few parts were worn or rusted. So a trip to the BMW dealer is on the agenda today. Should be interesting, as I'll be towing a 18' flatbed trailer so I can pick up those steel pallets at the Kubota dealer.

Got a call from a friend over the weekend, asking if I had room for a neighbor of his to park a motorhome. The fellow is working in Paradise as an equipment operator, and can't afford sleeping in motels for the next couple of years. I'm not sure I want a renter for that long, and also not sure what kinds of legal issues it might entail. I like my privacy, but I want to help out, too. Anything I should watch out for?

The hummers are starting to come back, and they're up to about a quart a day of nectar. Lots of squawking and squeaking out at the feeders, along with their aerial displays of daring do and grandstanding.

Happy Hump day, folks...
