Pantry cabinet back functional - FINALLY!!!!

As previously noted, the earlier hardware was inadequate. First attempt to replace was a bust, beefing them up didn’t make them work any better, actually started finding loose ball bearing on floor Sat.
So I figured a way to use side mount sliders attached to 1 1/2x 1/8 aluminum angle fastened to the top of the cabinet. BTW, overlook the random markings and extra holes in angle. This is its 4th tour of duty. Guess it’s in its permanent home now

So here is finished product:


Operation is smooth, no binding.



So, 9 days on a project I was allotting 4 days

Remember that nice old man on the cruise who said he would be my mentor in the wood shop. Well, I stopped by the woodshed to check that the safety class was still on for this week and he was at the reception desk. He did not remember who I was. Yikes, I might need to find someone younger.

Back home to much cooler and wetter weather.

We live in a nice place and have not felt the urge to take a holiday for the last 4 years. Our long stay-cation came to an end with a weekend away with our daughters family and our son. He had hired a holidiay cottage for us all as a very generous Christmas present. This was up in the English lake district. It is a beautiful place, though often inundated by tourists from all over the world, seeking out places associated with William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter (a lady who wrote many childrens stories, such as Peter Rabbit)

Drew, I wish I had known about your friend earlier, then I would have taken some pictures of all the daffodils which abound in the area, made famous in Wordsworth's poem.Daffodils by William Wordsworth - Poetry Reading - YouTube Did anyone else have to learn this at school ?

David, your cabinet looks very practical and stylish too. Surely now you have earned more than enough Brownie points to go play with your tractor.

Kyle, you should be so pleased to be told that stone wouldn't pass before you tried. Hope they soon sort you out.

Ron your duct sealing is fascinating, like repairing a punctured tire with that green slime. I wonder how the stuff knows to only block the holes in the duct and not come out of the vents ?

30 °F and only going to 34. Wind SSW 17 gusting to 34 mph. Periods of snow.
The weatherman is predicting 2 cm (3/4") but we will get 2" on top of the 2" we got yesterday.

I will be plowing today.

The local vet is holding a 'rabies clinic' tonight at 6 P.M. I will be there with 4 cats. The other two are feral and almost impossible to catch, let alone hold to put them into a carrier.
