Eric, best of luck to your wife for quick healing.

Eric, here is hoping your wife recovers quickly.
Preferably before your cooking kills her.

RNG, hold index/pointer finger straight out from your hand, fold the next two fingers in toward your fist and hold the pinkie finger out parallel to the index finger. Place those two fingers beside the glass you are going to put the booze in. Pour until you get to the top of the index finger. That is one medicinal shot.:D

Thanks, Jay, but Pepé Le Pew will be in no condition for biting or even spraying by the time I get within 15 feet of that trap. We don't relocate.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Eric. Glad it wasn't more serious.

I was just thinkin' about the stink dispatching the poor thing inside the barn would make. Could you tie a rope around the trap and lay it out in a straight line to a door? Then you could prop the door open, drag the trap outside to a more suitable location, and finish the business with a little less collateral damage...

But I bet you already thought of that, huh?

We never set the traps in the barn. We've always had good luck trapping them outside. The recent snows have shown me his usual paths around the property, so I placed it on one of those paths about halfway between the barn and the lake. The old trap had a 20' section of nylon rope tied to it so we could drag it out to the pasture to dispatch them there. I didn't put that on this one, but if there's no captive when I get home this evening (not likely during the day anyway), I'll probably do that.

Wifey sent me a picture this morning from when she was feeding the chickens and ducks. She lets the ducks out first, and one of them went up the ramp in the chicken coop wondering why the chickens weren't out yet.

Animals are entertaining.
