I got out at about 8 this morning and got all the plowing done. It is now sit and veg time.
There is snow in the forecast right up until next Thursday.

Clear skies and a light fall of snow made for a much brighter start this morning. I had the same issue as farmer, with snow keeping the frost from penetrating deep. After breaking through the surface while moving half a dozen big "square" bales, I decided that was enough mess for today.

Rick, that is a substantial table. Another good example of how life is so much easier with a FEL.

RNG, nice camera work to capture the eagle taking off.

I took a couple of pics for those that can't get out into the fields today.

Back from slipping and sliding to PT. Just took about 10 minutes longer to get there than normal. Then stop at doctors office for a blood draw. Next stop was Menards. Then Aldi's because Menards milk cooler was empty. Back home conserving energy.

Came back in to rest, got lots done this morning, and was going to take a nap but Massey dealer just called and they said they were bringing the tractor back in about 45 minutes. Sure not going to nap through that...
Lot of walking on tired feet, no way I have found of not avoiding at least one full length of walking from the road to the barn, regardless of where I position golf cart. One or the other it's a long walk. Good for me though if I get cramps tonight I'll know what to blame.

Washed my car on a relatively warm day, put air in the tires and put almost a full bottle of washer fluid in it.
Guess I was a bit overdue on that. And no oil dipstick. Stopped myself this time before I went looking for it.

Well, at least it will be nice to get my tractor back even if it's about to start raining again. Barn feels empty.

Toppop, really liked your worm story.

that's still on my list for today, taking chopped up veggies and throwing them in.

Kyle, just had cabbage soup with Cholula's Chipotle sauce, wow that was good. My wife make it with purple cabbage for the unique color, with a few potatoes and a onion and then blended smooth.

RNG neat pic!!

A panaeri 38mm, that's like a tractor on the wrist!

TD, why blender it? Used as a sauce?

The dog class this morning was just cold. The Temp dropped below freezing and with the wind, the wind chill was 24 ˚F. Whipper is learning right and left directions and how to LEAVE IT - the command not to do something she is doing.

The pickle ball beginners class was a more "Texas" temperature. They delayed the class till 2PM and the sunny temp was 52˚F. I now know the significance of zero zero two. But to learn that I lost out of a afternoon of trail blazing, I don't know if it was worth it, but you need to try new experiences every once in a while.

The well water at the gardens has been turned off till Friday because of freezing temps but I'll run by there tomorrow and offer tractor services - Free! If no one needs any the head tractor guy wants a mulch pile moved, it's huge and could take several days of seat time to move it, it's about 30 dump truck loads. I also need to work on my plot sometimes.

Gracie knows leave it, right and left, come, stay, and she heels, but only if you point to the spot. Right and left are her right and left, so if she is coming toward you, it痴 like an RC car, your left is her right, like stage direction. She knows bed, food, bowl, water, potty, poop, etc... I don稚 know what her training was, Ellen got her that way from the shelter, and I got them both as a package deal.

Well, I think that’s enough for now. Need some clean up around the edges and middle, but not urgent.

Don, glad to hear Whipper doing so well.
Kekoa decided to “forget” his training on the truck ride home after graduation although at times he will tease me by proper response. He’s a boxer after all. But the good thing is people visit and always compliment how well behaved both dogs and cat are. Not sure I can ask for more.

wngsprd - the tooth is doing much better. Between ibuprofen and antibiotics, the pain is gone, swelling is almost gone.

Still amazed there were 5 roots in one tooth.

Watches, Z28痴, etc. for your wives? Now I know I have it good. Bought my wife a new chain saw for our anniversary one year, a new gun for her birthday another time. I am still here and she lets me use the chain saw and gun. But I got to admit.....she shoots her revolver better than I can.

SodamoI beautiful place you have

RichB1 over 42 years I have gotten her all sorts of things some more up my alley than hers but she never complained, guns, weed eaters etc. even nothing when we didn稚 have it to buy,I felt it was high time she got something she really wanted and in this case the nail was hit on the head

Good for you, Randy

Sad in a way, nice in others, but wife told me a few years back to quit buying her things, like jewelry etc as she had enough and as she didnt work didn’t feel a need to wear. After she got her almost 3 carat finger adornment I think she feels content. I will surprise her with a new weedeater etc, but i guess the point is she (we) basically have what we need and while gifting is nice we kinda practical for the most part. We tell the kids a nice card and the thoughts are what counts.

That said, I’d get her anything I thought she’d truly enjoy getting.

My buddy's father, was an avid shooter and member of a shooting club. The father bought his mother a really nice over and under 20 gauge shotgun for her birthday, (Thinking she might join him for a few trips and then he'd get to use it thereafter)....My buddy told me she made him take her every week for the whole year. He couldn't go anywhere without her. That taught him a lesson.

Another friend called me and asked if I wanted to do a motorcycle trip to 3 sisters (a m/c destination) here in the Texas hill country. Says I can borrow one of his bikes (so I can keep up)... Told him, It would depend on the weather. I don't like riding cold or wet or both combined. A mutual friend of ours has 2 Yamaha 1000 side x side ATV's and is asking around if anyone wants to go to Glamis California.

Buppies, if your wifey is happy, then we are all happy for her. Hope you get better yourself.

David I really enjoy buying her things but in reality we really do not need them. It is definitely not for show as we do not really go anywhere as you said if it makes her happy I’ll buy her anything but she never really asks for much

Kyle my arm is still hurting so orthopedic man is next. I really do not like not being able to do things for myself. Get more blood work for high calcium levels to determine why. My wife is one who never asks for anything but after 42 years I’m getting to know the signs whenever that infrequent time she sees something she likes but only mentions it in passing

Good evening all. 25F this morning, clear and windy. Wind backed off in the afternoon, sky stayed mostly clear and high temp was 45F. Men's meeting this morning, followed by trip to heart dr. Took 1.5 hours to complete dr visit which was 5 minutes of nurse time and 5 minutes of doc time. He did review my history enough not to try to push pace maker on me. did get bike ride this afternoon, as well as nap, as I was airing up 10-speed tires back 1 sprung leak will work on it tomorrow. Dog walk was uneventful, must be the cold :D
Neat snow pics, eagle pics
David nice work!
prayers for all.
