It's a warmer 27° this morning. Yesterday wasn't to bad, overcast and in the high 30's. They just posted a weather storm warning until 4 am tomorrow. We could get up to 8 inches with the wind gusting up to 40 mph and a high of 31°.

Yesterday I finished the driveway and helped a neighbor make a trailer ramp to replace one that was lost.

Not sure what I'm going to get done today, if any thing.

Hope everyone stays warm and safe.
CWB.

I will not use a brush wash. New sheetz put in a nice brushless wash, took the pilot thru fri night.

Down to 7°, but sun is shining, so should start to warm up. Optional holiday, im staying home.

I have NEVER seen, or known of, a brushless car wash that was worth a plugged nickel. I seriously doubt that such exists, but cannot say for sure that they don't.

Minus 13 in central Michigan this morning with a decent wind. BURR. Geothermal system is doing it’s job and the solar panels are generating electricity so Life is good.
Going to build a fire in the shop and make a quick run to Car Quest to get a new hydraulic hose for the snow plow.
May be noon or after I can finish cleaning up tyevrecent snow fall.

11°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 28° today. Was cold, windy, and snowy all weekend here. Saturday was just miserable, with 40mph winds blowing the snow sideways. The walk back from closing the chicken coop Saturday night was best described as brutal. I was only outside for about 5 minutes, but my face was completely numb when I got back to the house. Yesterday we never got out of the low 20s. Wind died down, but it unexpectedly snowed here much of the day. Most of the snow from Saturday had blown away, but yesterday left us with about another inch.

Missed the blood moon this weekend, but was stunned by how bright it was last night just after the storm passed. Stopped to snap a pic on the way back from the chicken coop about 8pm. With the snow cover, the whole pasture was lit up and visible. (shadows cast on the front of the barn are from the LED yard light)

Good Morning!!!! 39F @ 6:45AM. Cloudy. High 51F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

It's brisk outside here, but nothing like what you folks are getting back east. Don't miss the feeling of snot freezing in my nose, at all!

Count me in on the car wash gang, at least for the truck. But it'll be hand washing for the van, as soon as it gets warm enough and stops raining.

No blood moon here, either. Just dark, cold, and wet overcast, with sideways rain bouncing off the windows.

Spent a good deal of time trying to resolve issues with a report script at the motorcycle club web site. The last so called upgrade to the underlying content management software involved a database schema change, and that broke the script. The Taiwanese developer was somewhat less than helpful, but my partner in crime seems to have found a solution. I'll plug it in today and see what happens.

New electronic turn signal flasher showed up yesterday and wouldn't flash at all. Back to Amazon it goes.

Lawrence of Arabia was almost four hours long last night, but oh what a movie! They sure don't make 'em like that anymore.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Someone ordered winter--- and it is here.

The wind is strong, temps right now in single digits. Nice moon over the pastures this AM.

Most everything is solid frozen in place. Daffodils looked to have been fooled as I noticed they had sprung up sometime when we were away.

Was draining pool last two days, need to check on that this AM. That side of the property is like Siberia though, no wind breaks.

I think we game to a conclusion with the insurance people. The company bypassed their inspectors/claims people since the snow is parked on the roofs and I bolted down what I could. They accepted the pics we took and got it done. Now I just need to find someone to get back up there on some of the buildings and get it back to normal. No flapping metal. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe! Stay warm!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-10ºF was today's low temperature and windchill is ~-30ºF. Brogen's first morning constitutional took ~10 seconds; basically marking the slider. His second lasted ~5 minutes; the squash additive apparently working;). Today's high ~-3ºF with windchills actually dropping with the increased wind. -9ºF presently.

Roy- Please stay safe out there.

Phiil- Not that I need one this year, but a cab would be a nice tractor feature:cool: This was a unique storm. CT had major icing problems and power outages. I hope your wife is on the mend.

Bruce- That is too cool about stepdaughter's BF. I am a recovering droneaholic. The flying erector set that I built is now a hangar queen. I checked out a couple drone schools during the active phase of my illness- they are demanding. The optics and capability of drones now are lightyears ahead of what I am familiar. I wish him well.

Rich- I am sorry to read about your dental work; good luck.

Randy- I agree about the poor officiating. I believe there were far more blown calls by the officials, but I thought the mistakes were equally shared. I could not believe the number and length of the play reviews. :(, but I did like the outcome like Dave. Either team with first OT possession would have won. The Pats got the luck of the flip, but that scoring drive was impressive; as was the Pats performance during the first half.

Drew- It reads to me that you've BTDT. I highly suspect 99% of the membership here can relate, especially to the "stupid." I really have not done stupid yet.

Sometimes a person needs to take a break from social media and hopefully simplify life. I took a break and returned, and I hope Ed does too.

Buppies- Good luck with Wifey's birthday. At the worst you'llvbe able to show her our best wishes tomorrow:)

Mike- Good news about the insurance.:D. Good luck with the repairs.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

Good morning to all! Low went to 26F last night. Today is supposed to get up to 46F early, winds coming in late afternoon and substantially dropping temps into the low 20's overnight. Maybe a chance of a shower preceeding the cold front. They are predicting winds at 30-35 mph with gusts 50-60 mph. Some mountain passes may get 75 mph gusts, that's like hurricane force stuff!

Hope all you guys in the east stay warm, dry, and safe. I saw on the 'national' weather here that the east is supposed to get another storm in a couple of days, but it should be mostly rain.....now comes the flooding right?... You guys just keep getting hammered....

The pup goes to the vet today for his next vaccination shots... Not much more on the agenda for today.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week. Prayers sent for those needing support and healing.

8 this morning and headed to 27 today. Saturday night we saw about 4 inches of snow and sleet. Hard to tell as the wind kept most of it blown off down to the ice under it. This was on top of 2-3 inches of rain. No frozen ground. So 6-8 inches of mud covered by an inch of ice and variable snow depths. Wind was strong enough it blew the snow out of the main drift points. Most of my snow I think was blown into the open pond. Reason I say 4 inches is that’s how much was in the woods yesterday in some very well protected areas. But trees were plastered on one side from ground to top.

Put hay out yesterday. Now that was fun. Couldn’t get to one bale feeder. Even with 4wd. R4’s. Saturday night after we got back from grocery store, I checked hay and cows were low. The storm had already started now that was miserable. I just dropped two bales over the fence and ran back for the barn. Problem was it was into the wind. Had one eye looking between my fingers. Then swap hands and eye. I had hoped they would have enough hay till after the storm but. My goal was to feed hay on frozen ground. Yeah right.

45 tomorrow but looks like a rough cycle next couple of weeks. Cold. Thaw. Cold. Thaw.

Jay sorry to hear about your fall.

Drew. Propane company is loving me too. Currently burning over 200 gallons a day. Chickens have to stay warm.
