Like I said, since I switched my double fixtures to LED, I致e never had to clean the bugs off between house washings, which is once a year. I haven稚 seen any wasps either.
My friend did testing that showed they use roughly 1/4 as much power.

All good Randy. Planning on stopping at Sam's Club this Friday. The Honeywell 5000 lumen lights will be a direct changeout with our 4 present high pressure sodium lights.

52°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 64° today. Expecting around 50° again tomorrow before dropping back to more "normal" January temps on Wednesday.

Spent most of the weekend dividing time between Wifey's honey-dos, working on the new guitar, and other studio stuff. Got a lot done, including the rest of the Xmas stuff uninstalled, packed away, and returned to storage.

Sorry to read about your neighbor's troubles, Bird. Nice that someone is there for him. You're a good kid.

LS, my Wife recently ordered some stuff online from a popular fabric place. When she didn't get immediate email notification of her order, she went back to check. There was no record of her order, yet the credit card had been charged and the gift card she used showed a zero balance. She called them, and a CSR was equally bewildered by the situation. She put a credit back on the card, and issued a new gift card, but never was able to find the original order. Weird. I've had mostly positive experiences ordering stuff online, especially from long established companies.

Mostly, I see my STL friends posting on Facebook all the time with pictures of gas pump prices near their homes. Most of them are around that same $1.65/gal. I topped off this morning in Trenton at $2.08/gal. We occasionally see it dip below the $2 mark, but it never stays there long. Our fuel taxes in Illinois are much higher than Missouri, ensuring we always pay more at the pump. There are several gas stations just down the road from where I work, and one even right across the street. However, there's no way I'm stopping at any of them. Way too much violent crime around here.

That lock box is extraordinary, Eric. I've seen other people posting that video on social media, but I didn't watch it until this morning. Fantastic craftsmanship.

E85 is an abomination, RNG. We get a lot of radio ads around here in favor of it because the corn lobby is so strong in the Midwest. I just don't see how they can blatantly ignore the obvious downside to that stuff.

Rick, we have LED flood lights over our deck that light up the front parts of our back yard. I haven't really noticed any difference in the bug situation since I installed them. We also put in one of those flat LED yard lights to replace the old mercury vapor light. It lights up most of the back part of the yard, but does not shine out the sides and disturb the neighbors, as it only shines down in a cone shape. I still see swarms of bugs around that thing every night during the summer.

61° this morning and overcast. Forecast is for 71° this afternoon and spotty rain.

I'll be doing more reorganization in the shop, in preparation for install of the LED center bay lights. Have to get a scissor platform lift down center of the shop. Luckily, everything large, is on wheels or casters.

Hoping for a few more drying days, so I can get trimmed tree limb piles picked up and to burn piles. I was making ruts, with our Polaris Ranger yesterday, in several places, so tractors remain parked.

Everyone have an excellent day.

Prayers to all.

62 °F and no rain.

Got my acid stain neutralized yesterday. Good chance I’ll get it sealed today.

Haven’t taken TurboTax out of the mailer yet, but did get a good start on transitioning spreadsheets to 2019.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Bird, did Dr. Higgins ever say anything about pork- bacon and pork chops, since medical students practice on pigs because their organs most resemble humans?

Don, the ONLY thing I remember personally about Dr. Higgins was going to see him in that big old house and squirrels in the cage in the backyard. I don't even remember how old I was the last time I saw him. But I have a big old hardback book "Carter County History"; Ardmore, OK, in other words. The book was published in 1957 in Ft. Worth, TX. It includes a page about "Dr. H.A. Higgins, who practiced medicine in the Ardmore area for over half a century." He was born in Gloucestershire, England, in 1874, came to this country when he was 18 and eventually made his way to Indian Territory.

Oh, so the medical schools were not as we know them.
That reminds me. the oldest woman may have been a hoax. She might have been impersonating her mother to get out of paying tax. If so she only lived to 99 not 122.
World'''s '''oldest woman''' who '''died at 122''' may actually have been her 1-year-old daughter, researchers claim

Oh, so the medical schools were not as we know them.

I'm sure they were not. The book does go on to tell how he had a job plowing with an anatomy book propped between the handles, spent every spare moment studying. And I reckon things were changing pretty rapidly in those days. It goes on to say, "Dr. Higgins' formal medical training had to be sandwiched in between intervals of working, and was taken during a period of transition in the requirements for obtaining a license. He found himself thinking he was near graduation several times only to learn that another year's training would be required."

Of course it also talks about him making house calls on horseback and having to cross creeks and rivers when there were no roads and no bridges and he couldn't swim.

Of course by the time I was born in 1940, he had an automobile and that road, 5 miles out of town was a dirt road, not too bad when dry, but a slick muddy road when it was wet. And that same 5 mile dirt road was where my Dad's oldest sister started my driving education in her new 1947 Ford Coupe. I had to have the seat all the way forward, and had to have a good thick pillow to sit on to see over the steering wheel.

I was cleaning under the lights once a month before, in warm weather, I never thought of that benefit.

Every bug didn’t disappear, but I bet there are less than 10% of what there were here.
