good morning all.
Didn't have a good night, woke up with roaring sound in left ear, major tinnitus attack. It's been building, pressure in left ear, feels like fluid accumulation. Off to primary doc first thing this morning, see if it's something simple like wax buildup. Loud rushing noise when house was totally quiet was very strange.
Always something. Hope it's not Meniere's...thankfully no vertigo though. I did have some dizziness when getting out of bed a few months back, wonder if this is all related. My reading tells me to reduce salt, which I don't use, and cut back on caffeine. Hmmmm.

36 going to 55 today, partly cloudy, showers coming in tonight.

Coffee has finished brewing. 31° with light snow this morning. Heading to 46° with rain most of the day. Nice day yesterday. Temperature made it to 48°. Made for a nice drive to east side for MRI. They had opened up a freeway 2 days early that had parts closed since April. PT this morning. Going to sit back and relax/rest of the day.

Eric, neat project. I have enough problems getting our standard safe open. Hope builder can find the video when he needs to open it again.

Rick, I like the dark. I have a neighbor that has a old Mercury light that lights up my place from 500' feet away. Wish they would put a switch or motion sensor on it. All other neighbors have gone to low voltage landscape type lighting that do not light up whole neighborhoods.

Good Morning All.

33 going to 43.

Eric, instead of a video, my PC had a big black box that says "unsupported viewing environment." I'll try to see if it will play on my phone...sounds interesting.

Rick, I replaced the spotlights on our house with LEDs and don't notice any bugs and seem just as bright.

Went to town to buy gas for the chainsaw and splitter yesterday...hit the gym, then took advantage of the 60 degree temps to paint a finish coat of stain on the window trim I replaced and/or re-caulked a couple of weeks ago...had been waiting for warm weather without rain in the near forecast.

After visiting a ENT Dr and going through all kinds of test. I tried the caffeine and salt reduction diets for little over 6 months with not one bit of relief. His other suggestions were that I needed get more exercise. :confused3: Talked to my general practitioner about it. His comments did not have much help for me. Most people live with the problems. Hopefully your problem has to do with wax buildup.

It is afternoon here, I didn't have time to say "Good morning" earlier as the wind is up, with rain on the way, so no time for breakfast or TBN, I had outside jobs left over from yesterdays to finish outside. Even with my slow progress, my wife was happy enough as I wheeled quite a few barrows of soil up into her raised beds.

With is being relatively dry I also took the lawn mover out of hibernation yesterday and cut the grass. The sheep will be disappointed as usually this is their winter job, but they do tend to leave quite a lot of "presents" on the lawn, which may be too tempting for the youngest grandson as he is at that inquisitive "what does that taste like" phase.

34 heading to 43. Driveway people coming again, today. More gravel this time. Told wife need to rethink driveway this spring/summer. Ideally I would like it to split when coming to the house. One side goes to barn, other side goes to residential. Hey, it is only money.

More work on run-in. Ran out of energy yesterday on ladders, and everyone left me alone. So that cut short my day. I don't work up high, even on step ladders, unless someone is around. Just bad experiences with friends and ladders. Most stuff is cut for the run-in, just need to get it attached. Waiting on roof panel, too. It was really a nice day to be outside yesterday, unless you were in the shade with the wind. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good morning! 62 ˚F heading to 75 ˚F partly cloudy.

Since the rest of the week we will be having good weather, 40s-60s, The trail boss has called for a 5 days of work this week on the section of trails we are clearing. We will try to be finished the same time the new Amenity center opens in February (where the trail head starts) so we will have a lot of ribbon cuttings at the completion of limb cuttings.

But first, with the other club, an important meeting at high noon with the SIG (special interest group) that has the keys to the tractor.

Planing a work day at mom's in-between club duties and also putting in a stairs and flooring in my attic. Busy week, might turn into a busy month.

I'm having very quick recovery from the rock and stump removal, can't say for sure if it's the plant based diet but it seems to be working for me.

The person that had to be air lifted near my Aunt's place on new years eve was lucky that his nurse daughter was there to give him CPR, even though he had the paddles twice and was put in an induced "cold" coma he was responding to verbal commands. (he's my age)

Bird, did Dr. Higgins ever say anything about pork- bacon and pork chops, since medical students practice on pigs because their organs most resemble humans?

Good Morning All.

Ron, all our out buildings are 400+ yards from the house so ..... the light at night is barely noticeable, at the house. No close neighbors either.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 5:45AM. Cloudy this morning. A few showers developing during the afternoon. High 49F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

The weather forecasts here have been off as well, it's raining now when "they" say it won't start 'till this afternoon. I was hoping for a break in the weather so I could take the trash can up to the gate, but no such luck yesterday. Instead, the electric gate opener was dead as a doornail and I had to come back down to the house to get a key to open it. I stayed dry in a canvas duster and hat, but by the time that was done my fingers were aching with the cold. The Kubota side-by-side didn't like it, either, as it stumbled and almost died a few times, which it now seems to do until it warms up. Probably a TBN thread out there on that somewhere, so I'll do some digging today.

Mostly fed the wood stove and practiced energy conservation yesterday. Nice to catch up on that once in a while...

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

It's 23° this morning. The snow showers yesterday turned into about 8 inches of snow. We have a winter weather advisory tell 2pm today. With a few more inches of snow and wind gusting as high as 45 mph. The high will be in the low 30's.

I know what I'll be doing today, just not sure when I'll get started.

Hope everyone gets a good start to the week.
CWB.

Good morning to all! Low went to 26F, going up to 40F today, partly cloudy to mostly sunny. What is the demarcation for the difference? Is it 60% clouds or 60% sun?

The snow /rain never really materialized yesterday. A few very light sprinkles during the day, then a brief snow flurry last night. The temp dropped quickly and the wind suddenly kicked in becoming very gusty. The snow started melting off making a muddy mess.

Claye, thanks for closing the window and keeping all the snow up there!

Drew, I hope that the tinititus is just a simple issue.

Don (trailboss), I thought you were retired? Energizer Bunny competition?....take it easy, you don't have to get all that done in under a week....(we'll give you at least 10 days):D

RNG, I hope the gate is just a simple fix. Didn't you put a new controller and battery on it? Hopefully nothing wrong with them.

RIP, not doing ladder work without someone around is a good idea. Hopefully you'll have everything prepped and the completion of the repairs will be easy and uneventful.

Today includes Vet visit for the new pup, then WallyWorld, then PT this afternoon. I should be worn out by then.

Everyone have a great day and start to the week! Prayers out.

I did look at pictures from tail cam yesterday. Nothing but deer and Sandhill Cranes. Couple pictures had at least 5 deer at one time. They show up between 11 and 12 most nights.

Has the bucks drop there antlers yet?

I have 3 of the same lights with plastic housings. Don’t know how long the housings will last. But they are very bright and do not need to warm up to get bright.

Have the same style and the only thing I don't like about them dang paper wasp building there nest. :(

No antlers in any of the pictures.

No antlers in any of the pictures.

Got a spike buck just two days ago.

Driveways done, just need a shovel into the barn. Man, that guy is so good. Looks like a million dollar estate without all the sweat equity on my part. Don't even need a rake anywhere. Sweetness.

Now what to do with the rest of the day? Cannot claim it was me working, so I need to find something else to do.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

We had snow showers here most of the day yesterday. The mix of snow and graupel snow amounted to .5” which gave some texture to the surface ice. Footing was fairly decent so I decided to remain on a low energy mode.

Today’s low was 9ºF and clear; presently 14ºF and high clouds are moving in overhead in advance of tonight’s snow which may turn over to all rain and back to snow as the secondary system follows the first Wednesday. I may see ~3” total; not enough to manage with the tractor. I would love to be surprised with higher accumulations. There’s always a model or model run that reflects my wishcasting. From the NWS/Norton-Boston: Sunday onward ...Beyond day 5. Wiggles, perturbations, amplitudes, etc., considerable forecast challenges with increasing chaos. …. Wait and see. Low confidence, stay tuned to later forecasts.”

Brogen got a nail trimming workout early AM today. 160#’s of active resistance, but with 3 on 1, he had no chance of escaping the torture.

The animal tracks around here are getting confusing and interesting. It seems that a lot of these visitors like walking in my prints. I really think one of those game cams would provide some interesting visitor pictures. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I hope that all of you with doctors’ and PT appointments receive no surprises, bad news or painful experiences.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

I have not seen a wasp yet. But maybe I need to check.
I am not allowed to go up on a ladder for one in middle of backyard. 18’ high on a pole that is over 60 years old.

No bugs ...... is great news. Thanks Wng.
Like I said, since I switched my double fixtures to LED, I致e never had to clean the bugs off between house washings, which is once a year. I haven稚 seen any wasps either.
My friend did testing that showed they use roughly 1/4 as much power.
