Back from Dr's. Good news. Tests are back to normal levels.
Yes, hers is Christmas Day. She doesn't recommend it, but wasn't her choice. She complains she never gets to go out on her birthday. LolTwo weeks from today? So her birthday is Christmas Day. And 6 days later will be my wife's birthday. Before we retired, we used to have a New Years Eve/Birthday party with all the neighbors and other friends and famiy on New Years Eve at our house. Lots of winter birthdays.
22ーF and clear skies this morning, going up to 52ー today. A few more days of warmer weather ahead, but rain is in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. Looks like we won't dip back below freezing until Sunday night.
Happy Birthday to Betty.
I heard some crime stats on the radio yesterday that suggested overall crime was down in the city of St. Louis. But, even the reporter questioned that and presented some startling numbers. While they like to focus on "gun" crimes, the one that stuck out the most to me was the 2500 cars stolen in the city from January through November this year. That's over 200 cars a month. Those numbers are for the city only, and don't include the surrounding areas of St. Louis County or the metro east communities. That's just insane.

I think they could drop those numbers easily, by the insurance companies requiring new parts only on repairs. Those cars are going to chop shops, to be parted out. Take away the market, take away the reason for theft. SE Michigan had a crazy high rate for T top theft on cars. The insurance companies stopped buying used parts, the thefts stopped.
Don, you would have had trouble getting out of your old place due to flooding.
Went to Costco today and found the Cholula hot sauce in a mega 2 (12 oz) pack and pick it up for $7.49. The regular size bottle is 5oz. (so about half price) The Cholula Chipotle flavor is better because it has that smokey BBQ flavor and a secret ingredient - sugar, about as much as catsup. The original is also a bit hotter but no so hot that the flavor disappears with the slight burn and it has no added sugar.
Wow Buppies, looks like mid winter in New England. The little that fell here is stubborn about leaving.
Doctor visit was good, have to get bloodwork done yet, got an update on my kidney decline and aorta stenosis. Looks pretty good for the mid term at least.

The good news is I figured out what I was doing wrong with the speedo pulse frequency box and was able to fix the ignition cutout problem. My first clue that I was onto something was when the van cutout at 5 MPH in the driveway! By the time I got to the main highway, I had it tuned pretty closely, and two more stops had it right on. Turns out I had to hit the reset switch after each adjustment, and I was leaving it in the adjust position. That wasn't mentioned anywhere in the instructions.:eek With that fixed, the van saw 80 MPH for the first time, and still had pedal to go...

FWIW, Amazon has half gallons available, and yes, I've purchased several. I use that chipotle flavor on the jerky that little rat dog stole from my room while evacuated. I looked all over the house for it, and have a hard time beliveing the little b****** ate it all. If he did, I hope it gives him the hots all the way through. That roast was over twenty bux!
