rain has come in and looks like it will be wet here for awhile.
Got a coat of wax on the tractor, put 303 on all the rubber, now I can get it dirty!

Absolutely miserable here. 37, raining, wind at 15 mph. Not even a hint of old sol in the sky. My dogs went out, back in 3 minutes. Speed pooping was the order of the day.

Drew, I had a 300 Utility with Fel, and pumping that clutch was hard after a hour or so. That’s why I went with a HST on the Kubota.

nice tractors come in all sizes and shapes, just like people.
now I could tell a whopper like Eric and say this last tractor
was motivated by decluttering, reducing the tractors to three.

You forgot my other red tractor! Farmall...though Massey's red is like fire engine/Ferrari red.
At the end of the coming year, I am likely to sell the Super A, unless i can get my fireman neighbor to drive it.
It's pretty punishing to drive and that straight cut gear noise bores into your head. Still fun to drive...as an antique.

Am actually working at selling off some of my "better ideas"...

Ok, you round heel, the Farmall thing seals it.....

Yesterdays shopping trip covered 11 stores L4N

wow, and now your DIL wants to do more shopping.
support your local businesses so they don't fold up...
I think I'd be looking for chairs on a day like you had.
If you have a long drive to get there, sure don't want to forget anything.

now if you took your dog sled shopping...;)

We have not paid an electric bill this year.
Irv

It is about 45 minutes to North Bay from here. The good thing is that I only go into one or two stores, then I am just the chauffeur.
Today I only got one thing on my list of Christmas/New Years sweets. I will be back out Tuesday doing the same.
That trip will be drug store, butchers, grocery store and hardware store. All of them about 5 miles south in Sundridge.

Freezing rain warning for tonight and tomorrow. YUK! I might be Canadian and I might love winter, but I absolutely hate freezing rain.

During the summer when I am making the 'big' bucks I prepay my hydro bill so that in winter I don't have to pay one. I do the same with the phone bill. The way I figure it, the bank doesn't pay interest so why bother putting it there.

RIP President Bush. Lots of respect for him.

Stocked pellets into the porch box, then bought another ton. Now i have plenty for all winter.

At the neighbors get together. He told me he just bought a kubota mini excavator.

Never quit raining here cold too still 37 hasn’t moved much

Toppop I agree warm up before Christmas around these parts but first comes the next weekend could be snowy the the oscillations that control are weather tun positive all at once good predictor of storm. Where RNG lives stormy and colder east warm up but as in winter after Christmas all bets are off as cold returns

Good times with tug of war and your dog

It’s 51 and showery now, high for the day, it was in the 20s this morning and sunny, still looking for a warm Sunday. Another busy day tomorrow, pick up grocery order, breakfast, church, visit mom, visit Ellen’s parents, then supposed to visit friends if we have time and energy.

Nice sunshiny, dry day until just a bit ago. Dried out enough to pretty much get most of my pad prep by FEL done. Still some hand clean up for final elevations.
George, my concrete guy came by to look over the project. Pretty much on same sheet of music. Hopefully I can get basic forms in place and he’ll come, drive pins, finesse, add rebar and mesh. Hopefully, not more than a day of labor then pour day with his masons. Told me concrete is running about $160/cuyd. ☹️ Hoping to get poured by end of year.

Here’s some 20ft 2x4s just laid out to help me figure out my forms. I’ll be drawing those out tonight.

Missed not having my backhoe for the digging on the slope. Digging with FEL on a multi directional slope is a challenge, especially when the clay gets wet and turns to grease. What you can’t see is that is almost 2ft cut in places on left side.
Had thoughts of removing the control valve for rebuild but didn’t get to it today, maybe Monday. I need to confirm it’s a Nimco CV556.
All in all, a good productive day.

Good evening all. 54F for the start, calm wind, clear sky. There wasn't much rain in the gauge this morning, less than a tenth. Got windy, sky stayed cleared, high temp was 67F. Bike ride in the morning, nap and dinner to finish day.
RIP Pres. Bush.
Prayers for all.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 8:15AM. A shower or two around the area early, then partly cloudy during the afternoon. Thunder possible. High near 50F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Supposed to hit a show'n'shine this AM, but rain may force a change of plans. Before that I need to get a batch of spaghetti sauce started in a crock pot.

Picked up mail yesterday in Oroville, and on the way back decided to see how close to home I got. Made it to the Yankee Hill sign before I hit the roadblock, and there was no BSing my way through. Went back down and up the other side of the canyon and took this shot:

Big relief to see it standing with my own eyes, but couldn't tell anything about the stuff in the yard. Maybe nobody else can, either, to that may be a good thing.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
So close and yet so far.....
I found your place on google maps.
