Good evening all. 55F for the start, overcast and windy. Wind was 15-25, sky cleared off in the morning, and high temp was 72F. Bike ride this morning (on pace to hit 6k miles), then started sorting through Christmas lights but windier than I want to be on the roof or ladder. USPS says they tried to deliver pack while we were home left no note. :smiley_aafz:
Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs ED
Happy Birthday Mrs MPham

RNG glad you are getting rain hope you get back to house soonest.
Bird before I moved to TX had 100mps internet. Had to change cable modem and router to faster units before I saw full speed.
Prayers for all.

Thanks Randy for Ellen's recipe. Does she have an Instant Pot?
Ed do you use pineapple and apple or just pineapple to the sweet potatoes.
I see a new Instant Pot recipe forming with date puree instead of sugar and butter.

We lost another great one today. Bob McNair, Houston Texans owner, passed away today at age 80.

He was a gentleman and a truly generous member of our Texas Community and donated over $500M to very deserving charities.

RIP Bob! You will be missed!

Good evening to all! Temps here didn't get as high as the Texas guys, but at least got up to the high 40's at home and into the high 50's in town. They said we had a chance of snow last night....must have been a fast spritz...walks were icy and ground was wet, but no snow.

Went into town today and spent way too much money....got some great deals though.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MR AND MRS ED!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MRS MPHAM!

Everyone have a great evening!

Warm, calm and dry enough to keep my hat in my pocket this morning.

Not much in Toronto right now, but we had record cold temperatures last night.
A quick search on Toronto shows "The coldest minimum temperature of −33 ーC (−27 ーF) was recorded on January 10, 1859" - must have been chilly last night to beat that long standing record

Ed congrats to you both on the first 20 years and best wishes for the next 20.

Bird, unless you run an online business from home, or often have a house full of guests, all watching different films over the internet at the same time, I can't imagine noticing any real difference with a faster rate. Just enjoy your wifi, if that's more convenient than Ethernet. It's like having a car that does 200 mph instead of only 100 mph, now who would feel the need for that ? Oh, half the Good morning crew just put their hands up

Phil, hope your wife enjoyed all the extra attention I'm sure you gave her on her birthday yesterday.

Ron, you have some very kind neighbours.

Drew, hope you get your Audi sorted soon, adaptive cruise control has been out a good number of years now and should be a pleasure, not a liability.

Mostly, you must have been getting in the miles recently to be back on track for 6k this year. Dare you to prove to yourself that you really are cycling for enjoyment and are not a total numbers addict - disconnect that odometer once it gets to 5999 miles :)

Good morning all, 30 going to 37 with a 100% chance of freezing rain/rain today. We have a little ice on things outside now, radar says more to come. Think I will stay close to home today.

Eric, told wife just after midnight, This is the first day of the next 20 years. :)

Praying everyone has a great day and for improved health. Ed

good morning all. Nice to wake up in my own bed, shower in my own shower. Am spoiled by having a strong grab bar in my shower, somewhat nervous when visiting others with slippery shower floors and no safety bar.

Rain is due in this morning, heavy rain this afternoon, then clearing tonight for nice day tomorrow in low 60's.
I'm off to go foodshopping, the pantry is bare. Ran out of milk and creamer for coffee, that surely will not do...

Going to look over a few catalogs today, half off for a few days from LL Bean, maybe it was Lands End.
Time to replace the saggy underwear...

12 right now...how today in the mid-30's. Foul weather coming in late this afternoon...freezing rain and a couple tenths (of an inch) of ice.

Quick dump run (if the dump is open) will be the primary chore today...

24 and headed to 37 with rain/snow mix. Wind SE 5 mph.

The stray is letting me get within 3' of it now and meowed at me last night. Slowly but surely I will earn its' trust, somewhat.

Randy, I too am going to try that recipe, only I am going to ditch the phony maple syrup and use the real McCoy and NO brown sugar.

There is a dump run in the cards for today and maybe I will move the army trailer over a foot or so. It is too close to the track I use with the loader to get into the field.

Have a good day all
